Great to see you back Ian. I did 40 miles on my V14 50S yesterday. Had 21% battery remaining and charging at 12Amps it was back to 100% in only an hour and 30 mins. Towards the end of the ride I was getting beeps at about 25% battery and was a bit shocked when I looked down to see 34MPH on the display 😮. It was speed limiting me to a speed that was faster than I've ever ridden on my V12HS 😀. I completed the ride at a more sensible 20~25 with no more beeping. Coming from the V11/V12, I'm finding the weight of the V14 a bit challenging. Getting up on the thing is often not graceful.
Nice to see ya back , The v14 is insane wheel, so much torque and power... The charge rate is 16 amps ,I have the Roger charger super charger, and I can charger the v14 at 16 -14 amps only when I'm on a long ride.. only when necessary!!!! Only takes an hour !!! Quality!!!! Love this wheel fast nimble, Torquay, powerful!!!!!!
Nice to see you again, My mans looking beefy than the normal lanky Ian I used to know. Please show us more of your new shop and your dog when you have the time,
I rode 40 miles last weekend on my v14 at an average speed of 20 mph and had 27% battery left, so decent range if you take it steady but its the tough off-road stuff that I really want it for.Cannock Chase here i come again.
I rode recently on my extreme bull commander that I got from you guys and my ride buddy (non sexy)was on his V14, did 40 miles. He had 37% left & I had 67% go figure
Interesting…speed and range V13 for sure, V14 suspension works well on both and has some serious torque due to size reduction compared to V13. Yeah I would take em 😎
Speedy, Inmotion has released powerful wheels like the V14 you reviewed, but also the V13. I understand the safety buffer objective, but it seems excessive on how they are implementing. Why have Inmotion chosen to not ink out more speed closer to the aforementioned potential speed without compromising safety? For example, as a V13 owner, I believe it could nip at the heels of the ET Max, and continue their safety narrative. THX
Seems like bacth 1. New batch has different tire and much smoother suspension :) Your suspension seems really smooth, but the new hybrid tire is probably worse in your british mud :).
@@Speedyfeetuk Interesting, so they are using the previous tire again? I would preffer the hybrid because this wheel is awesome also on the street. But anyway, great video!
Can you jump this "rock", just with your feet and without momentum, like you did with lighter ones ages ago? I doubt it. Also, doubt velcro will hold it. Maybe, I'm wrong, would be interesting to see it in your future tests😅
ahhh so 15.5 stone is about 217lbs. I'm around the same and I was surprised at how low the range was on the v14. on my EX.N which is only 300wh more battery I can get 100miles at slow cruise (20-25mph). although when I did that I was closer to 13.5 stone!
I'm 16 stones and at 20-25 mph with 34 lbs in the tyre on a warm day i got 70 miles on my Abrams........that is according to the built in screen. There was also a few high speed episodes on the ride but also a lot of rests.I reckon i could get more if i ridgidly stuck to 20 mph for the whole duration of a ride.....i love doing mega rides.
I'm still on my 800w V8 (I think it's 800w 🤔) I like the light weight - I can't imagine me lifting 41kg of EUC into my car boot - maybe I could install a boot hoist 😁😁
Some stop and chat as think its cool 👌 One stopped me a couple of years back and we had a chat about legality, met of couple of time thereafter and no issue. Some people are slammed. Guess it comes down to who stops you perhaps and how you are riding or a combination
Not really, my personal rule is 1 in 5 charges should be a full charge. Loads of arguments on the web, but in real life this is what I have found works best.
The C40 motor drains the battery quickly. why don't you stock the 50s version. I have two wheels with 50s batteries and a C40 motor. I would never buy a wheel with a 50e or 50gb battery again. The 50s charge faster, run cooler, sag less, and recover more quickly. Why even bother with the 50gb batteries in a performance wheel?
One answer is cycle life. 50s have cycle life on their datasheet as 250cycles(60% of capacity) Id be peronsally very disappointed if i used it every day for a year and had lost a significant portion of capacity.
Correct again Resonant2Frequency. Cycle life. I certainly dont want to be covering a deterioration in battery capacity in 6 months time for some customers, chose the 50GB for longevity of a brilliant wheel. Just come back from a 20 miler, brilliant performance.
The confusion comes from the fact that the life cycle tests on the 50S are done at 25A discharge and 6A charge, no one consumes 100A while driving 😄 Search tests at 1C discharge, 50S have a life cycle equivalent to the 50E and 50G.
My apologies, I'm confused. I like the video and it is very well done but this video looks like it is six hours old but the content seems a bit dated by 4-5 months. Sorry if I'm mistaken. I'm really looking for recent reviews of the V14-Black with the S50 batteries.
Correct @Resonant2Frequency - seems to be a lot of confusion on that front! These arrived last week, cant get much fresher. 2 Colour options, 2 battery options. We went for 50GB due to the other having only 500 cycle shelf life.
@@Speedyfeetuk Hi Ian, thanks for finally a new video and life sign. Very nice to hear and see from you again, I am hoping you are doing well. In case of the battery you might be somewhat wrong. It is for sure right that the 50s cells are "only" 500 cycles BUT only if they are driven permanently on their max specs of 25Amps of discharge current. The 50gb cells are specced at 10Amps. If you drive the 50s at 10 Amps too their live span is is liitle bit longer as on 50gb. So you get more security and less battery sag if the wheel is driven hard but in the normal use at least the same lifespan. Please check the data sheet accordingly. In the end 50s are a little bit more expensive but you gain more security and if often hard driven better performance and security. For these high current wheels it seems to be a good idea to chose the 50s if your weight is over 85kg. You get then secure 2.5 factor more Amps if forced. The inner resistance is simply smaller so the 50s are the batterys of higher quality. For a normal rider and one under 80kg I do think the 50gb are enough though. The motherboard should be aware of its power source, too. But as these cells are sold from factory I do think/hope its possible power draw is enabled in the software, too. The raptor controller should be able for that. Perhaps Something to ask Imotion for?
Its certainly possible depending on some factors though, its not all about the volts. I found this article which might be helpful: www.scienceabc.com/humans/how-many-volts-amps-kill-you-human.html
Cheers. Re range, not really, I have had the S22 sub 20 miles before. Sherman we have had in the mid 30’s. When you hammer battery powered stuff runs away quickly! (Like EV’s). Normal riding prob get ~40 miles + 5 so ~45
Lovely wheel, still getting used to it at 600KM. I think the height difference from my trusty S18 is still causing me issues. I've charged it at 12Amps and it charged it 30% in 20mins, Plenty for me!
@@user-bp5py6bh3g 50GB has much longer battery cycle life, so we chose those. They offer the 2 models, we had option to choose between either. We also asked to stick to orange - love the KTM style
@@Speedyfeetuk 50GB doesn't have longer battery life than 50S, that's been debunked multiple times over the EUC Forums and Facebook group - in fact the science seems to suggest 50S will last longer overall due to being stressed a lot less. So heavy.. Unnecessarily huge battery.. Hugely expensive.. Why do manufacturers not do something like this but with a more moderately sized battery. Who needs/wants to do 40-50 miles (I weigh a bit less than you ;P) on one charge for an off-road wheel? Is there such a wheel? I want the cool features, but like.. 1500-1800Wh
