I'd love to do that, and I know Johnny would also! Problem is that I live in NC and he is in FL, so meeting up is infrequent and always a challenge. I'd love to do this for the Max and Lynx. For what it’s worth, the “waterproofing” on the extreme is only about the controller. First time you get it muddy and have to hose it clean, you better cross your fingers! The “seals” on the motor are tiny, thin and poorly fitting. Additionally the suspension components turn to poop once you get some dirt and water in them. I’m speaking from experience as I currently have my extreme completely disassembled to replace the motor bearings & build proper weather seals. I’m also working on the suspension sliders as they are pretty scratched up. I’m actually pretty disappointed with the build quality for something they brand as “extreme”, specially considering I have only 350klms on it!
Yeah the bearing is not "extremely" waterproof sadly. I am rather careful about that when applying water anywhere near my bearings. I don't ride in any rain no matter what, if I can help it, on the extreme.
Both Extreme and V14 need FastAce type suspension in addition to the linkage suspension but they decided to screw up their sales figures instead with incremental improvements. Dual suspension would allow for a plush feel on-road and tight grip off-road. Dual-use/dual action/dual zones would allow for more control on various surfaces, and thereby eliminate the need for duplicate wheels.

I heard the plastic concerns when I bought the S20 (later s22) so I bought a bunch of extra plastic components 1-2 of each.. so far after 1 and a half year albeit I have not been riding the wheel the whole time. only things I had to replace is the motor due to the knocking and the handle.. but so far none of the plastic is broken yet, though one pad fell off during my volcanotrip but I could put it back on just fine. I'm new to EUC's but that UL 2849 certification seems to be a massive draw card. Would make me feel a bit better with charging or storing your wheel inside the house/garage all the time.
I believe that the V14 should not be judged based on its performance straight out of the box. Inmotion wheels are known for their high level of adjustability. By tweaking the settings, making modifications to the pedal height, and adding Grizzla pads, the V14 has the potential to become one of the most powerful and capable EUC. And Johnny knows it.
Lots of good comparative data. However, kind of hard to compare 3 wheels in this completely unscientific manner when there can be so may variables with pads and settings for shocks and software. In my experience it takes a lot of trail riding to tune in a suspension and wheel just the right way for the right terrain. You can make a wheel feel completely different by changing a couple things and peoples personal wheels are dialed for them for the terrain they favor. I still appreciate the intel. Of these I have an extreme and have had 3 different shocks on it now with 4 different coils. I have tried a Patton and haven't had a chance to try to Adventure yet. The Patton I really haven't had a chance to really test it and just rode it momentarily. But my friend who has had some issues and it's not the easiest to tear down from what I understand. I noticed virtually no difference in width between them all - it's fairly minimal if you ask me. I 100% recommend a Grizzla fairing system and pads to increase ride comfort. But I have to admit that it does increase height - but that helps with seated riding a ton. Personally, I love it that way 🙂

I can tell I'd really still like to try the V14 at some point though. I feel like it might be especially fun for jumps and tight circuit stuff. I don't need to be buying a $4k Lynx and then buy a $3k V14 6 months to a year later... I'm worried it could happen, ha! I know they're in different categories, but how would you compare the Lynx with the V14 now that it has the updates/improvements?
One thing im willing to add , the fact that they add that stupid orange colors on these wheels turns me off personally so much , the patton looks so much more elegant with the all black look , the orange rims makes the extreme and V14 look like kids toys , I hate it . They need to stop this dumb trend which is unfortunate cause its a big turn off for me .
23:30 I feel like turn signals on a wheel are almost useless unless you are able to control the turn signal before making the turn. They need to make some kind of hand clicker device (like they make for horns) so that the turn signals can be manually activated by the rider. And also, the turn signals need to be wider apart than what you see on the extreme for it to be effective.
Not sure if my v14 is a batch 2 or not but I came in 2 months ago. Love it so far. I wish I had the experience of the other 2 to compare 2. I need to get a 3rd wheel.
I wish you were talking about charging time and the possibility of safe fast charging the Patton. I think Patton doesn’t have smart BMS (correct me if I’m wrong).
Sine and square wave🤓🤓 Synth nerd here laughing at that comparison thats aweaome! Looking at getting a euc want to get something very good i feel like ive watched a million videos and still can't pick. Budgets not an issue i just wanna go full BORE. Seems like The Veteran Lynx is the way to go??
The Lynx is a safe pick, with some caveats. It truly is the best of the best, from what everyone is saying (mine will be here soon). Remember that when learning, you will beat up your wheel quite a bit, so as long as you are comfortable with that, then I say go for it. The bigger/heavier the EUC, the longer and harder it'll be to learn on. But as long as you have the endurance and patience, then more power to you!
@@WheelGoodTime Sweet, That's what I've been seeing also it looks nuts, Niiiiiice duuuude congrats! stoked to see you what you guys say about it👌 Appreciate the heads up on that definitely willing too! gear and all ofcourse 🙏Got bored with my One wheel Gt quick. I got it in June 2023 already hit over 1,800 miles on it, Price of a GTS vs what these can do🤷♂️ I was looking at the V13 or 14 also What's your thoughts in those? I was leaning towards these since in this video you guys mentions they are the only ones XPS certified?? Because I definitely want to rip through the rain and snow with no worries. So hard to pick🤣 Subbed btw🤘👽🤘
The V13 is almost exclusively made for road riding, and higher speeds are where the V13 shines because of its larger wheel diameter. As a beginner EUC rider, I think you may regret getting over of the biggest EUCs in the world without trying every flavor of EUC riding available to you. Let me put it this way: I use my extreme more than my master pro because it's suitable for nearly everything you want to throw at it. I don't commute to work at 45 mph on it like I do on my Master Pro, but I can keep up with traffic no problem going 35 on the extreme. The same is the case for the v14 and Patton. You can do so much with an 18" euc such as these that you are unlikely to ever "outgrow" any of them, ever. But you may find yourself wishing you had a more trail-friendly or jumping-friendly EUC someday if you go with the V13. Hope this helps 😊
Also, I still wouldn't recommend ripping their the rain and snow if you can help it. Sadly, Even though the V14 is waterproof, they won't give you a replacement motor/bearing if water gets inside and ruins things. Maybe I'm just chicken, but I am a bit of a fanatic when it comes to protecting a big investment such as an EUC, and I've gotten a ruined bearing on my old v11 from riding in a single rainstorm. So maybe I'm just overreacting because of that incident... But still 😂
@@WheelGoodTime Thank you so much! I ended up going with the v14 adventure and as I hit the trails I realize I made a good choice.. Gotta say you were right. first two days i couldn't really ride it at all. Eventually kept trying and trying and now I can ride pretty good. just need to work on turns for sure. today is two weeks my max speed is 28.8mph! heading out of work soon and cant wait to rip it. One thing I did notice is that I get intense foot pain at the bottom of my foot. I use alpine stars j6s. Anything you recommend or is it just because of the weight and learning?? I do have flat feet so that doesn't help lol truly appreciate your time buddy!
A lot of information. Doesn't understand about voltage sag. It's better than on any 20 inches wheel i guess. Same with the low torque. You really need that much? Smart bms, dudes, patton have no smart bms, this is clearly bad thing! Btw, Patton goes without pads, only lower ones. So you need to buy pads. Looks like v14 has somewhat not working suspension. And prices, myewhell march 2024: Extreme 2600, Patton 3200, v14 3800 (!) Eur. I guess clear winner is Extreme. I know about begode quality. Actually lynx 4000 eur, so v14 just not an option.
Biased Commander Mini owner here. I get you dont have one nearby but the only thing any of these these wheels have on the mini is suspension and even that can be debated.
I mean, grizzla comes out with fairings and stuff for these wheels because you and other big RUclipsrs have them in the foreground meanwhile there is no coverage for the mini.. and the mini gets no love from these companies. Boggles me that every single mini rider I've seen has had nothing but praises however it's been suppressed so much that no one makes specific parts for it, no one covers it, etc.
I'm really excited about the soft mode change for V14. There was a firmware patch a week or two ago, do you know which patch the soft mode update is meant to be in?
Um, ok, I was too excited and re-assembled my wheel even though I wasn't done with my updates. The new soft mode feels amazing. To my surprise, comfort mode (sport mode off) kicks the torque up yet another notch. I think InMotion is confused because responsive pedal dip (which I believe IM calls "comfort" and "softness") is essential for multiplying application of torque, whereas overaggressive pedal correction "hardness" or "sport" actually works similar to tilt back, counteracting rider lean and making the wheel feel sluggish.
I would combine comfort and softness as the real "power assist", I would combine sport and hardness as "stability" for beginners or if you don't want your headlight to dip. I would delete the original "power assist" or rename it to "Pisa mode" because it feels like the engineers messed up and the wheel is slowly falling over.
@@WheelGoodTime I didn’t make this one but if there’s another on I’m definitely taking off work for the entire thing. I just got the mini last week and it’s been great definitely my favorite of these 4 personally.
About motor power... do you know, motor does not have real power, it have torque and it gives as much power as controller and batteries is able to give. In this 3 wheels case, only batteries type and controller software is matter. LG50LT as in V14 (i suppose) have much vorse characteristic as Samsung 50e in terms of useable temperatures, but have more Amperage output. As i remember LG gives maximum power only on outside temperatures in 15-25c degree range.
For my personal use case, Extreme ftw. If anything, I can easily & relatively inexpensive upgrade the suspension with x linkage & a dnm burner shock to bring it up to s22 standards but without the maintenance & such issues. Honestly Patton sounds more a street wheel in this lineup. V14 I dunno as seems like its bigger brother in that its neither fish now fowl. But I havent ridden all 3 extensively so waddaikno. IMO ofcos
I wish we had one here, but these EUCs here are all personally owned. If we had access to a CMini, we would have definitely included it in this video. 😊
This video was released almost immediately before they released those upgrades. The 50S version is objectively better than the 50GB battery version, but the firmware is no different to take advantage of those 50S cells. The only difference you'll see between a 50gb and 50s version is less voltage sag on the 50S version, and significantly better resale value on the 50S.
I think the turn signals are worse than a gimmick / useless. I think they are actively dangerous. If you are counter steering, avoiding a pothole, hitting a bump, or any number of common situations, it will signal in the opposite direction of your intended turn, inviting lethal disaster. I'd cover the signals with blackout tape.
@@jarehelt the V14 has the lowest center of gravity, so it's fair to say that it is the most stable at speed and likely has the best carving experience. However the difference is negligible, and the V14 has a hard 43mph speed limit, which the others don't have. On the other hand, you are unlikely to want to surpass that speed on a wheel of that size. If you want to go faster than that, then I recommend getting something bigger such as a Lynx or X-Way. 🙂
@@WheelGoodTime The lynx felt to tall for me, carving felt a little cumbersome. I liked it otherwize tho maybe I could get used to it? I don't need to go 50+mph, but Id like to at least have a 45mph high torque wheel. I haven't heard of the x way before Ill check it out
Oooo that's a hard question for me to answer. My experience with each of those particular Wheels is fairly limited, and those wheels are and very different classes, having different tire diameters and very different battery sizes. I will tell you this though, they are both extremely fast accelerating wheels and you won't be disappointed with either. The v14 will likely feel like it accelerates faster because it has a smaller overall tire diameter so it'll feel like it has more torque. In practice though, it's a bit hard to say since I haven't had my hands on those wheels for a while.
Johnny looks like a nice guy and loves to talk. But not everything he is saying rational. I have opened up the Patton top cover. It is 100 percent not waterproof/water-resistant. No rubber to seal it off. Especially around the buttons water can go through. You cannot judge sag from the battery indicator on the screen. How many times does the screen refresh. How many times does the controlboard send the battery voltage to battery indicator. Maybe the Patton guves a more live feed of the voltage. The Extreme and V14 maybe don't or are very slow. That is why the battery indicator on the V14 and Extreme do not drop that low. The turning lights are gimmicks and aren't smart at all.
It sounds like the patton may be just looking at voltage which is a stupid way to measure battery life of a lithium ion battery. They should be using columbn counting which pays attention to how much capacity is leaving the battery. That would eliminate the appearance of sag
@@milordas yeah, that's a whole other topic. I'm talking about when you lean forward on a wheel the voltage will drop slightly, but it will recover. If you're trying to look at just voltage for life of the charge you'll see it go from 100% down to maybe 85% and then back up to 99 or 100%. The battery charged looks like it jumps all over the place because the battery meter is simply looking at voltage which is a terribly unreliable way to measure remaining capacity on a battery. I agree charge cycles is another way to tell overall battery health, but I'm just talking about state of charge. But you brought up a good topic
If your a jumper, go for the extreme. If you want the best all around wheel, go for the Patton, if you want to go slower on a suspension euc that has really stiff suspension, but great waterproofing get the V14.
IF youre a beginner jumper then the extreme is a great choice. IF your just beginner period, then the patton- IF you have the experience for it , then the skill ceiling is far higher on the v14 - I will smoke ANY euc on the v14 - In a drag race to 40 Slow is as slow does, the v14 is faster than the lynx off the line, just ask Roger... anyone who has ridden them. Whats with all the fake news these days??? @@chrisharriss

@@WheelGoodTime yeah, but you framed it like it's "possible" like it was a hard thing to do. I see people doing 40 +mph on it with ease all the time. Just feel you're underselling the Extreme's top speed for some reason. Go look at Ronin's video again. He hit 52 and see what he has tp say about the power. That was with the old firmware too I believe. Just feel that was very inaccurate even with the on screen correction.
I admit that I don't push my extreme's speed super hard because the voltage sag is EXTREMELY bad. I have a strong sense of self preservation and so when I see it sag that much, it makes me not push the speed so I don't accidentally Chooch it. But of course I strive to have the most accurate info possible! 😊
@@WheelGoodTime I can understand that, but Chooch was also using the 40t cells which was not a good idea for what he was doing. I watch your videos a lot. Just was wondering why you would put a begode wheel at only 40mph. They haven't made a wheel that slow since the RS19 HT. Other than that I could agree with everything else.
if I lose the respect of one person for being accurate and honest then I'm ok with that. Get out a tape measure and see for yourself their diameters of you don't believe me
@@Dan-gs3kg yes. All these wheels have an overall diameter of 18", but the rim diameter is 12" for all of them. But in the old days, 12" rim EUCs were truly 16" because they had a narrower tire. 🙂
We should really call them by their actual diameter, ie 18", or the rim size, ie 12". Calling it a 16" is a relic from the bike industry, kids bikes no less. "16" is the least accurate descriptor, and no longer even found on the tire sidewall. Why not 12-3, then I know something about the cushion.
This is peak euc content. You should have more segment experienced guests.
Thanks for such a high compliment 😁
I agree with you Rob. The turn signals are a complete gimmick given their current implementation
1 thousand percent.
Turn signals have no place at all in euc, as they implementation could only be realized when user press them before turning

They need to make some kind of hand clicker device (like they make for horns) so that the turn signals can be manually activated by the rider. And also, the turn signals need to be wider apart than what you see on the extreme for it to be effective.
That's a product that is on its way from Pidzoom 🙂 currently under development
Thanks for this review, I know what I'm getting now
Great review, which leads to better EUCs
Old topic ronin was riding in ny in cold weather and roger was in sunny cali. Lithium is effected by weather. Thus u know experiences domvary.
The extreme is 4 or 5kgs lighter than the other two from what I remember. Is it more nimble and noticeable when testing between the three wheels?
I didn't notice any difference in "nimbleness" personally. They are all about equal in my opinion in that regard.
Wonderful review guys! 👏
Not sure if my v14 is a batch 2 or not but I came in 2 months ago. Love it so far. I wish I had the experience of the other 2 to compare 2. I need to get a 3rd wheel.
I'll save money and get the v15 when it releases xd.
I wish you were talking about charging time and the possibility of safe fast charging the Patton. I think Patton doesn’t have smart BMS (correct me if I’m wrong).
hope it will receive in any war smart bms, then it would be perfect
How is the commander mini not on here? That wheel is awesome
We didn't have access to that one at the time 😕
Sine and square wave🤓🤓 Synth nerd here laughing at that comparison thats aweaome!
I got it in June 2023 already hit over 1,800 miles on it, Price of a GTS vs what these can do🤷♂️
I was looking at the V13 or 14 also What's your thoughts in those? I was leaning towards these since in this video you guys mentions they are the only ones XPS certified?? Because I definitely want to rip through the rain and snow with no worries. So hard to pick🤣
Subbed btw🤘👽🤘
And prices, myewhell march 2024:
Extreme 2600, Patton 3200, v14 3800 (!) Eur. I guess clear winner is Extreme. I know about begode quality. Actually lynx 4000 eur, so v14 just not an option.
Biased Commander Mini owner here. I get you dont have one nearby but the only thing any of these these wheels have on the mini is suspension and even that can be debated.
And waterproofing! 😉
Totally awesome review.
I'm really excited about the soft mode change for V14. There was a firmware patch a week or two ago, do you know which patch the soft mode update is meant to be in?
I think it was in that one. 😊 Just have to adjust the pedal hardness percent, I believe.
@@WheelGoodTime thanks! I would check it myself but I'm rebuilding/cleaning the wheel right now. Gonna try it first thing when it's reassembled!
I love my extreme.
Where are you located? You need a commander mini in this lineup
We would have included it if we had access to one. That was filmed in Gainesville, FL. But I'm currently in NC 😊
@@WheelGoodTime damn I’m on the opposite side of the us in soCal haha.
@@Wheelednuggets maybe I'll see you at next year's socal EUC tour (if it happens again). I'm hoping to make it there again!

IMO ofcos
I'm glad to hear people are satisfied with the Extreme.
What exactly is x linkage and a dnm burner shock?
what happened to the commander mini ?!!
I wish we had one here, but these EUCs here are all personally owned. If we had access to a CMini, we would have definitely included it in this video. 😊
no worries mate !! jus curiouus as you ranked it high in your comparison viid !!@@WheelGoodTime
dis vid was dope and great and fire !! keep em comin @@WheelGoodTime
Curious if this review reflects the 50s cell and upgraded suspension model on the V14?
Salut, je voulais savoir, qui vend le kit de protection sur l’extrême

Which one has the most stability at speed? Which is the best carving experience?
I haven't heard of the x way before Ill check it out
Hi, do you think EX30 accelerates faster on first/second gear range then v14?
Oooo that's a hard question for me to answer. My experience with each of those particular Wheels is fairly limited, and those wheels are and very different classes, having different tire diameters and very different battery sizes. I will tell you this though, they are both extremely fast accelerating wheels and you won't be disappointed with either. The v14 will likely feel like it accelerates faster because it has a smaller overall tire diameter so it'll feel like it has more torque. In practice though, it's a bit hard to say since I haven't had my hands on those wheels for a while.
@@WheelGoodTime thanks!
What that guy sees is sag presented by manufacturer software so it’s not comparable
I love Johnnys positivity, but some times he just seems to grip it a bit to tight. Great review for anyone new looking at an off-road wheel.
That would eliminate the appearance of sag
right, in the app it could show how many cycles batteries is charged, as 300 cycles in most cells is the limit

About the tail light I think less is more. If I ordered the Patton I would replace the tail light because I think its ugly and annoying.

The Begode Extreme 😊
When you crash a metal shell the whole wheel takes impact. Learn from 90s cars
Sounds like V14 is the Pro way to Go, feedback-wise
If your a jumper, go for the extreme. If you want the best all around wheel, go for the Patton, if you want to go slower on a suspension euc that has really stiff suspension, but great waterproofing get the V14.
If you’re into that kindergarten toy look then sure
IF youre a beginner jumper then the extreme is a great choice.
IF your just beginner period, then the patton-
IF you have the experience for it , then the skill ceiling is far higher on the v14

You guys are trippen if you think the Extreme only does 40 mph. Even in Ronin's video he hit 50. Chance hit 50 before too. Smh
It can go that fast, yes. You're right. I believe I put on an on-screen correction when we discussed that segment. 😊
@@ConsilienceDVO tbh it's all about the voltage sag for me. It's so heavy on my 50e version that I don't push the speed very much.
Turn signal, just a gimmick.. most definitely...
You lost my respect immediately when you called them all 18 inch wheels. Better luck next time.
if I lose the respect of one person for being accurate and honest then I'm ok with that. Get out a tape measure and see for yourself their diameters of you don't believe me
@@WheelGoodTime is this that thing where EUC measure by the tire OD, not the rim OD?
@@Dan-gs3kg yes. All these wheels have an overall diameter of 18", but the rim diameter is 12" for all of them. But in the old days, 12" rim EUCs were truly 16" because they had a narrower tire. 🙂
We should really call them by their actual diameter, ie 18", or the rim size, ie 12". Calling it a 16" is a relic from the bike industry, kids bikes no less. "16" is the least accurate descriptor, and no longer even found on the tire sidewall. Why not 12-3, then I know something about the cushion.
:D
Good work Johnny, coming across as very knowledgeable. Just some guys talking about electric unicycles.
