    (sorry about the video it is quite bad) • InMotion V11 new batch...
    Hi welcome to my channel
    thanks for finding me and watching this video.
    A longer video today, I try to show the whole roll when I do a range test to keep it authentic. I did cut it up and edit it to save you watching a lot more boring rolling.
    Not bad though, I don't mind the range with the fun you can have along the way.
    I apologise I couldn't ride it harder to test how it hops on low battery the firmware was bad to allow stairs and jumps.
    I might do it all again as I was disappointed the log didn't save, and so far I cannot connect to V14 with darknessbot maybe in a future update.
    I hope you all enjoy the video.
    I have to go sleep now because it's like Christmas.
    LYNX tomorrow!!
    See you next roll.
    I think it's a little trail video on V14

    I'm riding a v14 50s. I've only ridden 120km so I'm still getting used to it. I was going to test the range too and your vid was very helpful. Thank you. 🙏👍👍

      Congrats!! I am a little jealous :) I did want the 50s I hope you really enjoy that nice ride. I would be interested in seeing the 50s range if you get around to it please message your result's up here. Roll safe

      You already got it? So lucky... Mine is about a month away. Please do a similar test with your V14S, but on "D mode" for mileage. It would be interesting to compare the results between the two modes. 😉

    35 kph is quite a lot! Definatelly much better range than my V12HT. Thank you for great video! And I agreet the lack of USB ports is not good. I love USB-A and even USB-C on my V12HT it is stupid to have such a huge battery and no way how to use it other than riding... Regarding the V11 it had to be much lower speed because I was riding with a guy on the V11 and high speed riding drains his battery quickly :).

    Great video thanks for sharing your thoughts, very interested in getting this wheel as I like sound of the torque, plus I like a smaller wheel and the suspension looks great, I'm not speed demon so this looks enough for me! Thanks again, great edit! 🙌

      Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment. It is a good wheel I think if the range is good enough it will do many people very happy. Great weatherproofing and great suspension make a good all round package.

    Surprisingly about the same range as my 1800wh T4 but ofcos, with less topspeed for obvious reason. Plenty as a dedicated dirt ride but not close to adequate as street machine or allrounder. Peeps should take this into consideration if they only getting 1 wheel

    • @eucaus
      @eucaus  6 месяцев назад

      Yes I agree the needs of the rider will decide if the V14 fits. The range may stop it being a good commuter choice and top speed might rule out racing. Fun blasty trails is the go i think

    It does help so much when we can see the used settings for the tests. Thanks so much for doing it. I rarely go over 80% of pedal hardness with the Inmotion algorithm. If you repeat it, please do it now on "D mode" rather than "S mode" since that's the one for mileage. It would be great to see the difference between them with your actual firmware.
    I totally agree. I hope Inmotion releases a replacing charging board/piece with USB-C port.
    How do you feel the Yuanxing tire behaves? It seems to have a nice round profile.
    About the non recording trip, it happened to a friend of mine. In case it helps, by contacting Inmotion and doing a "remote checkup" with the app being used as a bypass with their tools, they were able to link the vehicle with their server to collect trips data. It was not an issue with the vehicle, but a detail at server level. If you press and hold any data field on the Inmotion's app main screen, you can add several other fields to share on your videos. I see you are getting popular with the ladies - even behind the helmet. 😅
    Thanks so much for sharing 😉

      Hi thanks for taking the time to leave a great comment. A nice idea to try the range test on D mode, I will try to do this asap. I really like the Yuanxing tyre, it has a nice profile I think and seems to play nicely so far. I have had trouble with IM app not displaying logs before sometimes they just turn up later randomly.

    I guess the price for all that torque on the v14 is more draw / lower range. From videos I see patton seems to be 10% better range but it is close to 10% less battery? Other surprise…I didn’t know you had a range test on the v13 and got 90km. That’s seems 10% higher than other results so you do conservative range tests.

      I have to stick to the laws here so my speeds aren’t crazy but I also have a great climate with good warm weather conditions most of the year. My bike paths and weather are good for the tests and do seem to get better results than the colder countries

    Here's the thing: 50S cells will give the EUC battery amazing resistance against age degradation. Could be a night and day difference to 50E/50GB cells.
    I dont know how many cells the V14 has but I think its (134V/4.2V) 32 per pack, so 128 total. Also 2400Wh capacity divided by 18.5Wh per cell = 130 cells.
    I assume EUCs work with cells between 4.2V - 3.3V. Brand new V14 with 50S cells has (128 x 4.2V x 25A) 13.4kW output (with +50% peak) at 100% charge, and (128 x 3.3V x 25A) 10.5kW output (+50% peak) at 1% battery left. As the battery ages resistance increases which decreases output, and capacity decreases. Let's age the battery to 50% capacity 50% output and see:
    13.4kW / 2 = 6.7kW output with 10kW peak at 100% charged.
    10.5kW / 2 = 5.2kW output with 7.8kW peak at 1% battery left.
    Notice how the 50S cells allow the battery to support the 4kW (9kW peak) motor of the V14, even after aging to horrible 50% performance. 4kW is supported all the way from 100% to 1% battery, and the 9kW peak is supported from 100% to 55%. But even from 55% to 1% you have at least 7.8kW to draw from.
    Now compare this to the 2.5x weaker 10A 50E/50GB cells. Aged to 50% output.
    At 100% charge: 128 x 4.2V x 10A = 5.4kW (8.1kW peak) new. 2.7kW (4.0kW peak) aged.
    At 1% charge: 128 x 3.3V x 10A = 4.2kW (6.3kW peak) new. 2.1kW (3.1kW peak) aged.
    Notice how the 50E/50GB cells cant fully support 9kW peak output to the motor even from brand new. As the battery ages the performance will be horrendous. V11 will be stronger.
    My conclusion is that the 50E/50GB cells will feel the effects of age immediately, and there will be beeping, tiltback, overpowering, all the things you dont want, and you will end up wanting a new battery much much sooner than you would want with 50S cells.
    I dont know if the capacity decreases at the same rate as the resistance increases, but if it is, you can easily ride 50S cells to 50% performance. It is about that time that you will consider a new battery to double your range, but you are still not hurting on power. That is exactly what we riders would want.
    New batteries are very expensive, around 50% of the cost of a new wheel. 50S cells are worth paying several $100 more for. Hopefully they wont charge more than about $2 more per cell.
    Personally will never buy an EUC with worse than 50S cells anymore. Anyone else thinks the EUC companies knew they would make more money selling batteries if they kept the worse cells?

    • @eucaus
      @eucaus  5 месяцев назад +1

      I must admit I don’t have the battery know how and always try to learn so appreciate anyone that can explain things.
      I haven’t noticed a great deal of ageing on my older V11 which I think is 50g? Cells? I’ve put over 10000km on that now and it still does ok. I guess part of my channel will follow how the cells age and hopefully can get a clear picture over time.

      It will be exactly the opposite. 50S have a low lifespan due to the combination of high performance and large capacity. According to the datasheet, 60% health after 250 cycles. 50GB have 80% health after 1000 cycles. In real world, there won't be such a big difference, but the great parameters of the 50S are simply redeemed by the longevity.

    What would you use the shock pump for? Isn't it a coil shock?

    • @eucaus
      @eucaus  7 месяцев назад +2

      Great point! I must have been long into the roll and my mind not in the game :/ I was thinking of tyres but you can never pump the tyres with the shock pumps anyway!
      My bad :/

    • @gpsanino
      @gpsanino 6 месяцев назад

      it is a progressive coiled shock but it also has a piggy back reservoir. Most likely to increase the oil volume against air. It has an air valve but FastAce is not great in producing manuals. It is a similar shock (except by the progressive coil) to the used by the Su-Ron and Talaria bikes. However, I have not been able to find a technical manual of the shock.
      Does anybody knows if that air valve on the "piggy back", has to be adjusted in any way?
