It can do a little north of 220kmh(express way). Sun is fine. Heat is fine for the hvac (benguet/sagada). Rear camera is displayed in head unit
Never lubed the windows and still is fine, good tip. Will lube.
    2017/AWD version.

Good job having jumper cables I see in the back...I can tell you from personal experience recently with a baby on a road trip...I'll never do a road trip without those in a car uggghh. And that was in the US with roadside assistance.

Not sure if a catalytic converter or partical filter is fitted in the Philippines ..If so you need to keep it cleaned out by doing country running at least a good high temperature run for at least half an hour or more or the converter will block up which is a problem with diesel when driving in the city I give mine a good run when I can as I am near a freeway ..

I first bought a Hyundai in 2003, a Sonata. It was loaded up and used as a 34 mile round trip twice daily getting the kids back and forth from their schools. Them the hundreds of miles fr ballgames, AAU basketball, elite traveling baseball team, football and that was only one kid, had 2 more and all their activities. Never a problem with this car. It had 103k miles on it and looked new in 2009, when a man hit it in the rear end into another car. Front and rear crunched and totaled. No injuries thank God.
At the time we bought it Hyundai was beating Toyota and Honda as many features and less problems. I’ve bought 2 more of the SUV model as well as a Kia Sorento 4WD. I’ll eventually buy another.

Even at shell I have gotten water in the tank or bad gas now for ever tank or every 2 tanks I run the gas treatment or injectors full engine cleaner. But average prices is 400 to 800ph per cleaner have found cheap old one for 200ph basically like those dollar cleaners you get at Walmart. But the full engine treatment cleaner run double the price here but worth it that and always keep a extra air filter expecially if you find a shop that sale your model. All parts hard to find or not in stock and for online orders like lazada always wrong or some weird generic part just some tips from my experience driving here and just getting normal maintenance done.

    • @Last_day_events

1 mil pesos. These newer cars are harder to find. Most of the time the owners have an over inflated value of the car.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news. the old distributor, thank god they're gone now, of hyundais in the philippines stripped a lot of features in 2017 tucsons. one of them was the airbags. the 2017s only has two airbags. still a very reliable car though.

@@PhilippineDreams when the distributor first launched this 3rd gen tucson. it was supposed to have a bunch of features. like power tail gate, 6 airbags, ventilated seats, panoramic moonroof, rear backup camera, etc. but what ended up being released in the country was a heavily stripped down version. all them apparently ended up with just two airbags.

When I was in the PH 5 yr ago they just changed the law and I couldn't extend my drivers license, has it changed or are you grandfathered in?

    • @leathernecktonyasianadvent2512
      @leathernecktonyasianadvent2512 3 года назад

Did you have a Philippines licence and couldn't extend after it expired. I haven't seen or hear of any related rules ,laws change related to that or any expats bringing that issue up. But I am still on my first 5yr Philippines licence. But I did seen some expats talk in some forums that couldn't extend based on their age saying new regulations for them like extra test, more medica healthl clearance etc but like everything here depends on lto or location for the answer you get but I haven't seen anything related official posted on lto.

You got a good car and a good deal. Glad you took my advice and forgot about the new Wego you were thinking about.
Only suggestion l can make to improve it, is ditch the alloy wheels and get steel rims. A decent pot hole, which are easy to find over there, will crack an alloy rim where as steel rims should survive most pot holes.
Also, make sure you have a foot pump with a pressure guage on it, as well as a wheel brace or lug wrench for the wheel nuts.
Try using the jack out on the car. I had to use mine the other day on my new Kia Seltos and it was abysmal. Take it out, crank it down, put it under the car, crank it up, change the tyre, crank it down, take it out from under the car, crank it back up to stow it in the car - all with one of those wiggly jack handles, which are obviously not intended for use with lanes of traffic whizzing past you. My old jack on my old car had a ratchet handle which didn't stick out from the jack and also gave more mechanical advantage than one of those wiggly ones does.

  • @coastalmax

You can use a Leather conditioner to keep the front seats supple without having to use seat covers. I always mentally equate seat covers to grandma & grandpas car.
I would suggest finding an alternative to parking under a mango tree. I know mango trees can produce hundreds of fruits per year and those suckers can weight 1 kilo each. So there are more dents in your future unless you find a solution to that issue.
