You nailed the overview. I own the 2016 and love it as a daily driver. My wife drives a Mazda CX5, but we both prefer to take the 2016 Tucson around town (although the CX5 is much more comfortable long distances). As you mentioned, the steering and suspension are more sporty and refined than most other CUVs in the same class. Our Mazda CX5 has way too much body roll, slop in the steering, and the brakes feel soft and unresponsive. The Tucson is the opposite, but it does not absorb the speed bumps quite as nicely as the CX5. For anyone considering buying a used Tucson vs CX5, if you like a sportier feel, go with the Tucson. If you like a more posh interior with softer suspension, go with the CX5. Mazda charges $850 to get Apple Carplay installed vs Hyundai charges nothing because the hooks were already in firmware. The door lock latch issue is much worse than you may think, at least here in the USA. Hyundai was refusing to repair for free until the National Highway Safety Administration threatened Hyundai to either repair for free or go through with issuing an official recall because so many people filed reports with the NHSA. I personally had three of the four fail; all replaced for free by Hyundai... but what a pain. I'm just hoping the last of the four latch mechanisms fails before the warranty expires! No other issues whatsoever though over the past 6 years. Other than that, I love my Tucson. I do have the Turbo Unlimited, so it is plenty quick for around Southern California roads and we LOVE the ventilated seats that provide much needed cold air during the hot summer months and then heat during the cold months. Great job on the overview! I also have a friend who completely turned up his nose to my suggesting he consider a Tucson instead of a BMW X3. His 2016 X3 has been in the shop a lot! Egos are expensive to maintain! Cheers.
Thanks for your review! My recent purchase of a CX5 was a bit of a lemon and made me desenstised on a cx5 but the more reviews i do the more they are my next choice of car. Thanks for putting the time on this one!

@@jamescalleja8291 2018 CX-5 (not Grand Touring). Both Tucson and CX-5 are running very well. The Tucson has a weird failure with door locks as they have all failed and been replaced for free. The CX-5 had the drive belts and tensioner replaced at 42,000 miles ($750 here in USA). I was very disappointed to have that fail at such a low mileage. The dealership advisor said that is typical, but every other place I've checked says these should last at LEAST 60,000 miles up to 100,000 miles. I believe the dealership was slow and just needed the money. Anyway, overall both vehicles are doing well. If you like upholstery and driving comfort with more ground clearance and can do without Apple Carplay, go with the CX-5. If you like a sportier vehicle with lower clearance, Carplay, ventilated seats, and more horsepower, go with Tucson. My wife (CX-5) and I raced off the line and the Tucson easily beat the CX-5, not that either of them are high performance vehicles, lol. They are very similar on gas mileage with the CX-5 slightly better (explaining the lower acceleration performance).
I was between the 18 Q5 and the 18 Tucson. The fit and finish, the driveability, warranty and $20,000 difference I went with the 18 Tucson. 3 years later I am still very pleased with the Tucson. No rattles, no shakes and when closing the doors still sounds new. Happy with my choice. Has been very reliable. Nothing but regular maintenance so far has been done.
Same. I have a 2016 Tucson Limited and it's still running great. The only issue has been failing doorlocks, but Hyundai replaced these for free. Still annoying, but all cars have some weakness. I'd rather replace the doorlocks than an engine.
I have a 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited 1.6 Turbo (U.S. Version). My driver side, driver rear side, and front passenger window all had the issue where the cog in the window regulator wore out, so the window would not roll or stay up. The window regulator cost between $300-350 depending on when and where I purchased them from. I was able to do the repair myself by watching videos on RUclips. This happened at about 80,000-82,000 miles. However, I do like to drive with my windows down. My front passenger door lock stopped unlocking the door from the outside after someone slammed my door quite hard. Other than that, no problems. I changed that part out when I replaced the window regulator. Thought about buying a new car, but mine is paid off, so I'm keeping it.
Fyi only brother, a mechanic wrapped the plastic gear in tissue before replacing it. He explained that the gears teeth have a small gap and thats why they wear out so easily. Try to do that. I haven't had a problem since
Think we've missed something? Let us know on this comment thread! Stupid comments that don't focus on the pros and cons of the Hyundai Tucson, will be deleted 🙂
I just bought a 2015 model and I absolutely love it. It’s definitely an upgrade for me. I’ve always had used base model cars with not a lot of upgrades. I feel like I’m driving a bit of luxury.
Hyundai's are good cars - They don't get good credit from big shows. My office got few of them all of those are over 200K- These are driven by everyone at work. They just work... Never seen one out of service or what not...
Thankyou you gave me more info on the tuscon used cars as I have not come across anything bad in the many reviews I have seen and still will be buying one keep up the great reviews on vehicles loved bloopers at end
I have a 2017 Tucson Active X and the main problem with the headlights is the crap globes that are fitted as standard. I upgraded mine to high intenisty H4 halogen it makes all the difference.
My wife bought a new American Spec 2016 Tucson SE with the 2 L gas engine and 6 speed auto transmission. She and I both love it. Fit, finish and comfort are very good for the price. The car handles well, is comfortable, and it shifts nicely too. In the 31K miles we have had it, the only maintenance so far is regular oil changes, tires (see below), a couple of factory recalls (which her car wasn't having problems with), and front and rear brakes. (My wife is a hard "braker"). It could use another 20 hp. We weren't willing to pay over $3,000 US. for the 1.6L to get ONLY 11 more hp at high rpm only I'm glad we didn't get the 1.6L turbo as it only came with a DCT transmission which just doesn't feel right and is unacceptable to us. One other gripe is the substandard factory Hankook Kinergy GT tires that came on her car. They exhibited poor traction in general, (Wet, dry, and especially snow) and very poor tread life. I recommend upgrading to a better tire for those reasons. You will needing them soon. We did after they were almost bald by 27Kmiles. Overall rating of the vehicle on a 10 scale would be a 7.5.
I have a 2016 limited. I love it. Sport mode has plenty of pickup for overtaking or getting up to speed. I get almost 30 MPG and it's loaded to the hilt. 36,000 miles. Just added dash cams for added security. I love my HI UN DIE
I own an American Tucson and the only trouble I've has is the window regulators. All 4 of mine have gone bad, and it's not an easy or cheap fix. I also had one hub go bad, but not the bearings, it was the tire pressure sensor. I just moved across the country from New Orleans to California and it performed without a hiccup or whimper.
2016-Tucson Sport, 1.6 turbo. 77K miles 1-Replaced air condition evaporator 2-Burns front headlights and sockets. 3-Burns break lights, sockets are also bad. 4-rear door lock jam, this is a known issue and no-recalls from Hyundai. 5-Rear window bad motor assy. 6-when in 1st gear Auto transmission jerks. I would not recommend this car.
I bought my 2016 1.6T limited brand new and kept up on oil changes and maintenance. -Transmission replaced at 36k miles -AC control module replaced at 36k -engine replaced at 70k -driver side window motor replaced, out of warranty -Back up camera replaced, out of warranty -master ground wire to frame was replaced, out of warranty -5 different issues with heat / AC in the last 3 years, out of warranty Currently at 145k miles and it has been a complete money pit. I will never buy a Hyundai again nor would I recommend one.
@@mile7276 So weird. I have the same exact vehicle in the USA and the only issue I've had was the door lock actuators failed. Wasn't all of your work under warranty?
I own the 2017 tucson 1.6L turbocharged and the engin is a disaster. The transmission " dual clutch shift " is worst. Bought it brand new and after 6 or so months the transmission started acting up. I went to dealer who contacted the manufacturer and 3 weeks of keeping my car, I was served with a " There is nothing we can do about it cause it's way the transmission was made" The engine started burning oil around 70.000 miles. I had to change the engine out of pocket cause I was using the car for business purposes.😢😢😢😢😢 Please go for something else.
I'm not gonna lie, I love this car. I was given one as a rental after my '07 Camry got rear-ended a couple years ago, and I'm considering buying one soon!
My wife buys these. I wouldn't buy a new one let alone a used one. Then again we have different tastes and cars. She likes simple, and I like performance.
I've got a 2019 I bought from a rental company last December with 38k miles, I've put 20k miles on her so far and I've had -0- issues. It's underpowered, but I'm a pretty slow driver anyhow Soo it suits me fine.
I will pronounce the "Hyundai" name properly fore with. I learned something new today ❤. Joking aside, a practical and reliable vehicle means the world to me ❤.
2017 Tucson. Catastrophic engine failure at 55k miles. Had to wait 5 months for a new engine because of covid supply chain issues. Replaced under recall. Absolutely avoid the 2017 model. The engines are defective.
In South Africa, Hyundai decided to remove maps/nav from the info-tainment system. Our variant(2018/2019/2020) also doesn't have tyre pressure monitoring. I feel the car drives amazingly. In fact, the response is better than a few Germans that I have driven. It is definitely a fun car to drive but I just could not justify buying one without all the "nice" whistles that I found in my Lexus. Wink.

Bought a 2017 Tucson in 2020. It was burning oil like crazy. After a lot of cars taking and frequent services, engine blew. The dealership i took it to had 40 cars with blown engines ahead of me. I’ve advised people I care about to avoid Hyundais and Kia’s.
@@scedza thank you for that I don't think we've had these problems, or at this level, in Australia Sorry to hear about this - this shouldn't be happening these days
@@willhooke You're right. This is a primarily North American problem. The engine manufacturing for the cars sold in NA is not of good quality and from what I learned online, the manufacturing process leaves a lot of metal shavings in the engine which can clog up oil channels and impedes flow and therefore cause damage leading up to catastrophic failures.
I am surprised that this problem with petrol motors was not raised as it is huge in USA with class actions amounting to billions of $$ and as I understand, high mileage petrol motors in Australia are now having the same problems.
I just purchased a 2nd hand Tuscon, also white but with Turbo... I have to wait 2 weeks though, so exited! Thanks for this great video, it really helped us make this choice
As an owner, I’ve experienced serious issues with the computer (the downhill assist turning on randomly, screens going blank and everything slowing down etc), the keyless entry handle dropping off out of warranty, the AC is not consistent, the plastic clad at the side of the seat with the adjustments detaching, the black coating by the hand lever turning sticky, the faux leather is starting to chip. In the Caribbean, even as I own the same trim as this model in the video, we didn’t get that level of tech especially compared to the tech that Mazda offers with the 2017 CX-5. Also, we have the rear vents and charging port. All around, it’s ok but reliability and value are key issues. I’m waiting for the new CX-5 so that I can upgrade.
In 2016 bought one brand new and had it till mid 2019. Absolutely beautiful car. In Australia's hot summers the AC would be freezing. Now in 2023 I'm looking to get a second hand one. This review was just in time.
Have a mechanic check out the engine, I had major engine failure with the rod bearing snapping at 72K miles, rest of the car was fun and beautiful but if the engine blows on me for no good reason - my trust has been lost. I had all maintenance and oil changes done with Hyundai dealer and they never caught a problem that would lead me to believe it had the capacity for the rod bearings to fail. FuN CARS BUT BEWARE AND CHECK OUT THE ENGINE THROUGHLY BEFORE PURCHASE.
We bought one brand new in 2017, 2.0 n/a, have had no problems then 38 miles after 100k miles, we take to dealer for a scheduled oil change and and good thing we had the scheduled oil change. The check engine light was on and the oil light came on. The dealer said it was one quart low on oil. We have had every maintenance item done at a Hyundai dealership as well as any interval change etc. We absolutely love the car but we are documenting every single thing in that there is a bulletin out on these motors for 10-year or under 135,000 miles for engine replacement. It is extremely aggravating to buy something brand new and have it be an oil burner 38 miles after it hits 100,000 miles.
@redriven hey guys, good effort to create an exclusive video on this model of tucson. But i guess you guys missed to mention the 1.6 turbo petrol dct tucsons. They are very different from other models. Some owners had issues with premature clutch wear and etc. Can you please find some info about it too and do another video with one of them. That will cover all the hyundai's like sonata, veloster, i30 using dry DCT's. Some tips on how to use them would be good. I am one of the owners of Tucson dct too and i have met many people with so many questions owning Tucson dct
In the States, Hyundai famously ran a Super Bowl commercial telling us that Hyundai "rhymes with Sunday." All their ads pronounce the brand tlname that way. That is why North Americans pronounce it "Hunday."

I actually prefer this design to the 2022 models...in fact, the first gen is the best, design wise, it just doesn't have the interior quality that the second gen has.
I bought a 2017 model in early 2021 n man its a no nonsense car. Had a Bluetooth and screen freeze issue but fixed via an update under warranty and nw it works fine. Agree with you about the looks. It kinds of disappeare in other cars on road but looks beautiful when standing alone 😂😂.
Our 2015 bought 2nd hand 65k... we had both rear doors fixed... wouldn t unlock. Drivers door wont open on first pull... always opens 2nd pull. Other then that... great car
I bought a 2018 Tuscon Sport AWD in 2020 with 19k miles (U.S.). Have had it just over 2 years and love it! I would recommend replacing the battery in the automatic key opener before it's 4 years old. Mine died and shut down and locked the car. Had to call road service to open. Would recommend this vehicle. Good purchase for me!
Love your work! My favourite car review youtube channel by far. Killing it with these 2nd hand car reviews, you have saved me so much trouble by not making impulsive purchases. I am really wanting to see a Corolla Cross and Yaris Cross review. Also, I like it when you talk about suspension and cabin noise/quietness in your review. If you could always talk about both of these in all reviews it would be great.
There's absolutely nothing not to like when seeing a Tucson on the road, the problem is when you look inside and see the cheap, plastic (lots of cheap plastic) dashboard...🤦🏾♂️. Yeah, it's beauty is only skin deep.
I had the 2020 and I loved it. Except it didnt have apple play yet. I dont have an iphone but my co pilot did and we had to buy a cord during the trip to use her gps
I'm weighing up whether to buy one of these or a little bit more for a same-year Toyota Rav4 (which we've been driving till now). Will we be disappointed if we go from a Rav to this? Or will we enjoy it more do you reckon? The power thing is the aspect I'm worried about. The Rav felt like it was okay.

0:49 it's not their fault, it's the ads shown in the 90's when they were beginning to get popular. "Hyundai, rhymes with Sunday" was a tagline they used a lot. So Americans started to pronounce it that way, and it stuck with them ever since.
Exactly! When the brand was introduced, the manufacturer spent a whole lot of advertising money telling the entire country that the name rhymes with SUNDAY!!! Unforgettable.

The other thing I went for this is that the spare is a full sized tyre which to me is important(two day drive to Perth were I live)
sorry to say but I lived in Korea for 7 years and my wife is Korean and they pronounce it as one syllable, like "Hunday". So the American pronunciation is correct. Not going to hold it against you and I still enjoy the video.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Steve. Would it be possible that certain areas in Korea pronounce it differently? As in "dance" here in New South Wales is pronounced "dance" yet in South Australia it's "darnce". - AK
We had a 2016 Tucson from new. 4 years in the car developed an awful shudder going over 80kmh. Went back to Hyundai and found the transmission needed replacing at 35000Km. The active x “leather” is horrible. 2.0 Engine is gutless. Apart from that it was a pretty decent car which looks amazing in black.
2016 with the 1.6T and double clutch box. It was not great. The engine was always working hard and had terrible fuel economy. The gearbox was a ticking time bomb. Absolutely lazy shifts and developed terrible shudders on takeoff. Interior plastics are very cheap and scratched up fast. Volume button on the radio was replaced twice. Generally a very cheap feeling vehicle. Door rubbers also turned to mush. Some positives, it handled pretty nice and had good road holding and cruising ability. However, I would not recommend the 1.6t with the double clutch...avoid!
I bought a brand new premium se 1.7 diesel automatic in 2017. Sold it in 2021 . Great car , white with red leather interior. Two issues, the headlights in the dipped beam was awful, was unable to adjust. Also the paint work was absolutely terrible. Appeared to have little or no base layer, very patchy and chipped easily. Sold it with only 23000 miles. Amazing customer service but I don’t think I would buy another Hyundai. Build quality poor
It’s pronounced “Hyonde”😂 de as in Denmark. It’s clearly Koreans fault as they can’t be bothered to check how their native names can be pronounced in English. Samsung is another example. But that’s Koreans for you. I live here and I’m always astounded how can they mass this up and vice versus from English while often they have most sounds to do it correctly. But no…
I have a1918 my19 2 Liter and love it, you say it's a bit sluggish it can still do 155 while passing a triple road train out near Winton Qld while feeling safe.
We’ve had our Active X since new back in December 2015. Have even towed a 13 ft Jayco no dramas. No real problems either. A bush in the steering rack went. Replaced for a couple of hundred with Hyundai. Car was a few months out of warranty and Hyundai replaced the base seat on the drivers side for free as the vinyl was cracking. Fuel economy is excellent and it has a sport mode that firms up the steering and holds on to the gears a little longer. There are rear air-con vents btw. They are u der the front seats. We have driven it 125,000 k’s and she never complains. I highly recommend the purchase of a second hand one with a solid service history.
There was a exellent and very interesting press briefing with future perticipents going to UN youth festival in Sochi later this year. Very openminded Americans that at least finally gave me hope for a better future with better understanding and cooperation between all the people of the world. Take the time to watch it if possible it`s about 11h into the latest UN livestream. Anyone of them would make an interesting future guest.
Buyer beware, 2017 Tucson dual clutch transmission needs to be replaced $4,000 at 132,000 miles. I bought the car brand new nearly five years ago, did all the required maintanance and took good care of it, don't say you wasn't warned, my first and last Hyundai, never again. I almost bought the new palisade but instead bought a 2022 Toyota Highlander.
The reason Americans call it Hun-Day is because Hyundai released a American Football Super Bowl commercial featuring Jeff Bridges saying “Hyundai, like Sunday”. This was because at the time people were saying Hon-Day, and people were getting the name confused with Honda. So they spent the money to educate the public in the states to help solidify their brand identity. The more you know! Lol
The 2.0 na eng work well in the i30 not so well in the heavier Tucson they should have dropped the 2.4 eng from the sonata would have been better power to weight
Burns a ton of oil. A 2017. Seems counter intuitive having to check and add oil between oil changes with a newer car. Such is the reality with some of these GDI engines. Software added under arrangements made with the government. Hyundai was forced. Corporate gangsters these Koreans. So far no fires or blown engine. I’ll spend extra and get a Toyota next time though the new electric Hyundai cars are dialed in apparently. Good review but a bit too rosy for my sense of veracity.

We have a my19 Tucson 2 ltr , bought it new and what a good decision it was. I just bought a 2015 model and I absolutely love it. It’s definitely an upgrade for me. I’ve always had used base model cars with not a lot of upgrades. I feel like I’m driving a bit of luxury.
What was the mileage on yours? I'm also looking into one at the moment
Just got my 2015. Still waiting for the whole paper process. But definitely an upgrade from my mirage. Lol
Good video
How's your car doing ??
I love your humor, it makes watching the video so much more enjoyable! Keep it up ;)
Thank you!
Thanks so much Pam. - AK
Hey did u ever have problems with the engine?
No
Same. Love mine too. Have you had the dreaded door lock issue? I have had 3/4 of mine fail. They were fixed no-charge, but it was inconvenient.
We really like our 2018. My only observation might be, your steering wheel might be on the wrong side. (Yes, I'm being ironic).
We have a 2012 ix35/tucson 2.0 with almost 300,000 kms and it has never had any issues, and we still drive it today…
I love my 2017 Tucson
I own an American Tucson and the only trouble I've has is the window regulators. All 4 of mine have gone bad, and it's not an easy or cheap fix. I also had one hub go bad, but not the bearings, it was the tire pressure sensor. I just moved across the country from New Orleans to California and it performed without a hiccup or whimper.
Great Great job & I love your videos! Your so right about the headlight. They're very bad even in towns
Thanks so much. - AK
2016-Tucson Sport, 1.6 turbo. 77K miles
1-Replaced air condition evaporator
2-Burns front headlights and sockets.
3-Burns break lights, sockets are also bad.
4-rear door lock jam, this is a known issue and no-recalls from Hyundai.
5-Rear window bad motor assy.
6-when in 1st gear Auto transmission jerks.
I would not recommend this car.
My engine out at 125,000 miles I did all the oil change every 4k miles since I bought it new at 0 miles
@@joelreyes9600 so don’t u recommend this vehicle? I was thinking to buy one of this
When in first gear, get on the gas slowly and smoothly. That is your issue.
I bought my 2016 1.6T limited brand new and kept up on oil changes and maintenance.
-Transmission replaced at 36k miles
-AC control module replaced at 36k
-engine replaced at 70k
-driver side window motor replaced, out of warranty
-Back up camera replaced, out of warranty
-master ground wire to frame was replaced, out of warranty
-5 different issues with heat / AC in the last 3 years, out of warranty
Currently at 145k miles and it has been a complete money pit.
"He's a dickhead" LOL GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE
I'm not gonna lie, I love this car. I was given one as a rental after my '07 Camry got rear-ended a couple years ago, and I'm considering buying one soon!
Awesome mate. - AK
Please don't
My wife buys these. I wouldn't buy a new one let alone a used one. Then again we have different tastes and cars. She likes simple, and I like performance.
I've got a 2019 I bought from a rental company last December with 38k miles, I've put 20k miles on her so far and I've had -0- issues. It's underpowered, but I'm a pretty slow driver anyhow Soo it suits me fine.
Join the slow driver club ...I'm at the front
Which trim did you go for? I'm thinking either 2019 or 2020 Tucson Value maybe or Kia Sportage
What's motor like on the 2019?
I will pronounce the "Hyundai" name properly fore with. I learned something new today ❤. Joking aside, a practical and reliable vehicle means the world to me ❤.
2017 Tucson. Catastrophic engine failure at 55k miles. Had to wait 5 months for a new engine because of covid supply chain issues. Replaced under recall. Absolutely avoid the 2017 model. The engines are defective.
9:32 😅😅😅😅complaining about the fuel economy sounds like a british owner 🏴
In South Africa, Hyundai decided to remove maps/nav from the info-tainment system. Our variant(2018/2019/2020) also doesn't have tyre pressure monitoring. I feel the car drives amazingly. In fact, the response is better than a few Germans that I have driven. It is definitely a fun car to drive but I just could not justify buying one without all the "nice" whistles that I found in my Lexus. Wink.
Abuti lekae.Have also driven a 2018 RAV4?
@@lesegomolefe3191 Ke gona weshu. I hope le tsogile gabotse. I haven't driven the 2018 RAV4 yet but we used to own a 2011 model. It had heated seats, tyre pressure monitor, sat nav, and a few other nice things. It was comfortable but as others, it was a little slow. Very reliable and comfortable though.
Bought a 2017 Tucson in 2020. It was burning oil like crazy. After a lot of cars taking and frequent services, engine blew. The dealership i took it to had 40 cars with blown engines ahead of me. I’ve advised people I care about to avoid Hyundais and Kia’s.
Are you in Australia or the USA, or elsewhere? 🙂
@@willhooke USA.
@@scedza thank you for that
I don't think we've had these problems, or at this level, in Australia
Sorry to hear about this - this shouldn't be happening these days
This is terrible to hear mate but thanks so much for taking the time out to write this, really appreciate it. - AK
Sounds like you have shit luck mate hope you do better with the Mazda
Your experience is similar to what two friends had with their Tucsons. Horrible.
Wonder what year model it was though. Seems like 2018 refresh and newer have a much higher quality build
Your reviews always power sport on
Ll be shopping soon between Mazda CX-5 and Tucson so still comparing 😅
My neighbour has had a similar incident, vehicle 2 years old, fully serviced and threw a rod through the block.
100% Naveen. Thanks for bringing this to our attention and we'll look into it for a future video. - AK
yes....my tucson 2016 diesel is the best car i have
A good looking car. INterior is cheap in every way. The 1.6 Turbo is powerful and great to drive for an SUV
Love your show..very informative, unique and entertaining. Keep up the great work and never drop the bloopers..they are hilarious
Thanks so much! - AK
I just bought a 2017 and paid $15k, 140 thousand k’s and also go a 10 year warranty with repairs up to $4k and 10 years roadside assistance.
Nice report thanks Mate 👍
Thanks for watching and commenting, Robert!
In the States, Hyundai famously ran a Super Bowl commercial telling us that Hyundai "rhymes with Sunday." All their ads pronounce the brand tlname that way. That is why North Americans pronounce it "Hunday."
These are when when they where cheap but cheerfully reliable ..now still reliable but not cheap at all.
Wait, you can get these cars with a 6 speed manual??
Edit: AND A TURBO DIESEL? Damn! US market got screwed!
Diesels are very popular here lol almost every car you can think of has a diesel option
@Redriven #Redriven Previous Ford Escape please. A favourite amongst reviewers but never sold in the numbers it should have. I have one and I love it but I'd love to get your opinion.
It's coming very soon mate but in Kuga form (same thing really). - AK
Hey Shaun here from South Africa... Please do one on the outgoing Sportage 2.0 CRDi if you can. We have 2. Same model year 2018 one with 132000km and one with 78000km, both diesel and automatic they just dont break???
I actually prefer this design to the 2022 models...in fact, the first gen is the best, design wise, it just doesn't have the interior quality that the second gen has.
The new Hyundai Tuscon has an adventurous design like all Hyndai's and Kia's nowdays, personally I agree that this gen is less offensive design-wise.
The new design looks like a spaceship lol
I bought a 2017 model in early 2021 n man its a no nonsense car. Had a Bluetooth and screen freeze issue but fixed via an update under warranty and nw it works fine. Agree with you about the looks. It kinds of disappeare in other cars on road but looks beautiful when standing alone 😂😂.
Have you had any engine issues? I just bought the same car and I'm kind of worried
Hi AK, can you do a "Should you buy an FX50s/QX70s Infinity?" Would love to see that!
Great idea and yes! We'll start trying to find them to review. - AK
Yeah, it's beauty is only skin deep.
and why should everything be premium?
I had the 2020 and I loved it. Except it didnt have apple play yet. I dont have an iphone but my co pilot did and we had to buy a cord during the trip to use her gps
We have had a few Hyundai cars in the UK with few issues and are looking to buy one of these next. Great video.
Number 1 rental and leased cars
I'm weighing up whether to buy one of these or a little bit more for a same-year Toyota Rav4 (which we've been driving till now). Will we be disappointed if we go from a Rav to this? Or will we enjoy it more do you reckon? The power thing is the aspect I'm worried about. The Rav felt like it was okay.
We have hyundai tucson 1.7 D 2016. Absoulutly love this car, you have true about headlights, they are not the finest, but ww got some extra lamp for night driving and it cost about 150 €. One more problem for our car is that we have to pre heat car if outsode is about - 10 and lover (we live in finland and here is some pre heathing sistems inside the cars). Didint see this car any other problems in these years.
White Tucson 2019 paint peels easily. Mfg. Will repaint car FREE.
Hope ull get that thata 2 changed on your delear warranty 😅 huyndai/kia recalled like 500k+ cars and still didin't take actions to rlly fix it. They putted 1b+ aside for engine changes 😂

Really nobody's talking down there ib comments about blown engines in all Hyundai's 2014-2022? Not enough info for newer models
I have found these videos absolutely fantastic. I recently got rid of my Delica and am in the market for a new car and these are essential viewing. It's always Full of humour and a good giggle at the end too. "Spot for your Pizza ....LOL.... Cargo net for your Fish..... ROFL..." I've got the cheat sheets and hopefully I'll find a car to get to Sydney soon.
I have 2017 Hyundai Tucson and I have problems with it when u put on coil the Celina 2 and 4 isn't working how will I fixed it
The Tucson’s 2 litre atmo is about as enthusiastic as Ben Affleck’s acting in the 2017 justice league movie

The sport mode is pretty good on these. I have one and that’s where you see more gains of course
the HYU is one syllable, not two as this narrator is prouncing.
Similar to CUte. But a H instead of a C. Also nday instead of te.
Had an I30 for work, I called it Undie 340000ks only a late bight Skippy stopped her.

Hi
Want to buy Tuscon 2014. Do you have someone to contact from Rwanda. Thank you
If it's a diesel Tucson manufactured in South Korea, it's a keeper.
If it's a gasoline Tucson with a DCT manufactured in the US, avoid.
Please do a review of Volvo XC 40.
Soon as we can get our hands on one. - AK
They must be your best pair of pants Adam, I have had a 2019 Tucson since new, Only reason I went for this is my niece works for a car hire company and and according to her, the least call outs she gets are for Hyundai's. And your 100% right about the 2 litre petrol engine, Its not in a rush.
- AK
@@ReDriven nah, it's pronounced the same every where in Korea. I pretty certain 😀
I just bought a 2018 with only 21.000 miles $17,900 In Desplaines Il. U. S. A. But mine is the basic model with 2 wheel drive and a 2.0 liter engine
I still love and enjoy my 2016 Hyundai Tucson ❤️.
Very informative indeed. Please do a review of the Pajero Sport 😇
155!? Yikes.
Honestly, I’d just watch entire blooper vids.
Here you go Margot, this is one we prepared earlier! ruclips.net/video/JIAOVCN76t0/видео.html
Well I just have to say I absolutely love the sense of humor! Hilarious, especially since I have a net behind my seat for the fish I will catch 😂😂...Thank you though, very good information 😊

I’m about to buy a used 18 diesel Tucson. My only question is how soon can I expect the usual stupid diesel problems like failing DPFs and EGRs
Its funny cuz i got my tuscon specifically for my band activities. We did a short run in it recently. But im able to fit my whole drumset and hardware in the trunk alone
I bought a high spec 4wd td Tucson in the UK in 2016 and I still use it. Comfortable, cheap to run, reliable what is there not to like?
Why is everybody from Australia or the UK?
We have a my19 Tucson 2 ltr , bought it new and what a good decision it was. The only time it has been in a workshop was for serving, and as far the official ⛽ at 7.9 ltrs , we are doing better than that. No rattles or squeakes and interior is like it was 5 yrs ago. We invested into the safety pack , no brainer .
So after 5 yrs of being a daily beater , I can only agree with your assessment.
If you're looking for a SUV ,you should really consider the Tuscon.
No..
1. Power Windows regulator problem (if one goes out the other 3 will eventually go to)
2. Oil leaks problem
3. Ignition key switch problem
4. Signal stick sometimes doesn’t work
Pro: Good & reliable engine.
I bought my daughter a 2016 Tuscon 1.6L turbo. It has 58k miles and now needs a new transmission. The DCT is a poorly engineered transmission and has been a problem with a great many 2016 Tucsons. I’m so disappointed with Hyundai!
At least you can pronounce Tucson correctly
