Hyundai Philippines now likes to hold back on specs and overprice. CRV, Forester, and new Montero Sport are better options than this Tucson.

I would disagree. The car itself is good, the toys aren’t. But the car itself imo is more important in the long run. Toys get outdated, the engine doesn’t.
Though i would agree it missing out on even something like cruise control.

If youre already opting and shopping for a car in this price segment then its a no brainer to opt for the Mazda CX-5. But the Geely Coolray though, it looks rather promising, esp for its price (1.2m) hopefully they upped their game on reliability.
No wonder I no longer see a lot of Hyundai SUVs on the street. They've become way overpriced and underspecced. Even Hyundais and Kias in general are hard to spot anymore.
ang masama niyan front wheel drive madaling bumigay ang velocity drive shaft ,mahirap sa cornering kung minsan understeering o di kaya oversteering every now and then kailangan mong ipa-align maganda pa rin ang mga rear wheel drive na tulad ng CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER or toyota FORTUNER base po ang experience ko sa mga front wheel drive vehicles at rear wheel drive na namaneho ko . ang front wheel drive ay walang kontrol sa rear wheel niya dahil wala dun ang traction., kinumpara ko sa mga differential type na nadun sa hulihan angtraction at pwersa so magcompliment ang bawat isa nasa harap ang steering control yung sa FWD andun lahat ang pwersa sa harap niya pero ang likuran mistulang dead spot walang pwersa pag nagkurbada ka malamang titilapon ang likuran niya.
yup too expensive. many buyers would opt for a fortuner, navara, mu-x or a montero... more practical.

2:44 it is plain because it is an international car kaya binabagay mga features. Dito sa canada puno yan kasi may mga heated features and 2nd trim can get you a panoramic sunroof etc. Sobra overprice sa pinas with less features
CR-V 1.6S variant’s diesel engine is a let down compared to this Tucson’s engine, but talking about the features I couldn’t think of any reason of getting the Tucson, not to mention that the CR-V has 7 seats with 10 airbags and 4 USB charging ports and also the non-claustrophobic feeling for the back seat occupants. Numerically the 100Nm difference in torque numbers is big, but practically it’s not IMHO.

Top of the line and it only has two airbags? That is unacceptable. Even the cheapest Vios has seven. The manufacturer has removed other things to make the car cheaper as well, he already mentioned the headlights, and the interior is not as good as it used to be. This is all because of the excise taxes on new cars.
Kevin Barry it’s not about the excise tax, it’s about the greed of the local distributor of Hyundai.

Hey,Myfamily’s Tucson has midnight blue colour and automatic rear hatch opening/closing function.
I live in India and in USA there’s no automatic rear hatch. Why? 🤔
It's because of the Distributors Cost Cutting and I think they only want more profits knowing that some buyers have no ideas on this features

1.8m and only two airbags? We got our base 2018 forester at around 1.5m with 6 airbags, all wheel drive and steering responsive headlights that are LEDs.
I would"ve bought this if it came with AWD. Our 2014 Tucson is AWD. So, I bought the next best thing, a Forester Eyesight. No regrets.

I been watching Hyundai Tuscon review across the globe and honestly I was DISAPPOINTED because it lacked most of the latest features that I'm expecting. The price is way too far from it's feature. 1.8M? Premium ang price but it doesn't look as premium compared sa ibang bansa.

The Tucson is old and it's showing its age. Lacks features you can find standard in other Crossovers in the segment.
nah, it's fully loaded in other markets, even if it's 'old'. HARI just removed most of them and at the same time, charge higher.
