Great vid mate. Regarding the flushing job, you've done what you can, you've advised them as well as Vaillant, if they don't want to go ahead I'd do the same as you, leave it up to them. That soakaway though 🤣🤣🤣
Just a tip with the bearing plate/membrane... The red part comes off with a twist clockwise (opposite to the norm) and you don't need to take the screws off the fan unit usually.. just press the little red tab that sticks out to unlock..although maybe you did have to on this occasion to take out the broken piece ... another great upload as usual mate..
You’re an excellent heating engineer / plumber Dan - I hope the work situation picks up up for you quickly. Another RUclips plumber was saying his work had recently just dropped off.
Thank you Trevor. I think it’s just the time of year, it seems a lot are in the same situation. I can look back next year on this videos if I’m quiet and hopefully realise it’s just the time of year 😂😂😂
As the saying goes Dan.. beauuutiful… top job Dan as always. It will pick up buddy . There is only so much one can do. If the customer don’t want to spend the money then that’s their problem. ❤❤❤
Ive noticed that column/designer rads tend to give off a lot of rust. I usually double up with 2 litres of inhibitor to be sure. I drained a boiler the other day and the water was ginger😵🤣🙈
I'm not getting many jobbing jobs tbh, I'm getting a lot of bathroom and tiling enquiries but that's it To note, I'm not gas safe, just wet plumbing and tiling
Was quieter than usual a few weeks ago but now I’m flat out with work luckily. Booked up until end of August at the moment. I do a fair bit for a builder though that keeps me busy
@@Heatking thanks Dan. I have water hammer on my pipes, the guy who just serviced my boiler coming back to fit something on the pipes to stop it, it’s annoying to hear it, 😂. Enjoy your day, and keep up with the videos buddy. 😃 🥰.
Good vid, im sure the best location for that system filter is after the underfloor and ch returns, but before the boiler? as it looks like the UFH by-passes it. keep up the good work tho :)
@@Daz-L-CV Daz, you’re right the filter was after the tease to the underfloor heating so only doing half a job ha ha. Well known big blue company installed the boiler.
I think the big problem at the moment Dan is everythink is so expensive people just haven't got any money it will pick up again but it's going to take a while so when you do go to jobs you need to be looking to make your own work
That Thermostat is a Salus it500. They are sh*t. It can be used as a dual programmer or just a thermostat. There’s a few common wires linking over. Should be easy enough to swap it for an Esi thermostat obviously two lol. Aux is normally dedicated to hot water. Keep up the great work 👍
Thank you for watching and tuning in. I love reading your comments so drop them down below ❤

My works dropped off too mate. It’ll pick back up
It will mate! Bring on winter!! Haha
Great video Dan, hope you enjoyed those flaps, 😂😂😂, you know me , sewer mind, 😂😂. Need a video on how to solve water bang/hammer on pipes.

Another quality video buddy. Works definitely slower all of a sudden gorn from 7-8 jobbing jobs a day to 2-3 a day now
