Only had time to watch 5. The builder is kind, mostly expected to notch the joists. He put in 3x2 on edge👍. Also, the open pipes u connect on to. Tape them up. My OCD crap in pipes
Top job Dan❤. A lot of pride love sweat n tears but it’s all worth it.. it will be notice in years to come when the do a renovation of some sort that they have picked the right guy to pipe it all up❤
Interesting video Dan, you working off plans when doing jobs like this, seems complex. Theres something substantial about copper that you don’t get with plastic. Nice pipework ❤
Great video Dan! Beautiful copper pipework- pity it gets covered in insulation! Nice to see your dad’s back! I bet he’s not a fan of speedfit! (Nor am I - at best it looks pretty awful.)
I was trying so hard to follow the networks of pipes and where they lead to and my brain keeps failing me 😂 This is why we need people like you in the industry. Wealth of knowledge and experience!! Thanks for another great video Dan
Very nice Dan. I do cylinder cupboards in x-press copper. Nowt wrong with it. I do enjoy bigger copper jobs when I get a chance at doing them 😊 Multi tools are so very handy but totally obnoxious soinding tools. 😂 Oh and I melted the gearbox in my Milwaukee drill today 🤦 127mm holesaw too much for it.
Haha yeh I can imagine that would be too much for any manufacturer of a drill 😂😂 I don’t however enjoy the bigger jobs, I love jobbing around 😂😂 you’re absolutely right about the multitools, proper angry noisy tools 😂😂😂
Looking good 👍 Regarding insulation, when watching HeatGeek he's said that any thermal 'loss' from the pipes, inside the 'thermal envelope' is not loss, save your money on the insulation. Only if its outside the envelope should it be insulated, lofts, garages etc. Food for thought 👍
I was thinking what a top lad doing an install in copper.Until I seen the press. I think in years to come press will be a plumbers dream. It will all leak
@@Heatking I'm not knocking anyone who uses it? It's used all the time every day with no problem. I just prefer not to use it. Keep up the great videos. Thanks Sean
Another good video mate, nothing wrong with a bit of Coldplay’s my parrots died 😂 to follow a comment about the push fit life expectancy my father in law told the rep that cordless drills would never take off you can’t beat a “yankee” screwdriver sometimes new fangled things just work in the end he had multiple drills 😂 hope all is well whilst I lie here recovering from my total knee replacement of 6 days wondering if the pain will ever stop 😂
Ouch!! I’d of thought the pain would have died down by now! Hopefully it does soon mate! And cordless drills would never take off 😂😂😂😂 that’s absolutely brilliant.
Soldered fittings still for me, if your just doing domestic work, why pay £2k for a gun, have to have it recalibrated at a cost and the fittings are way more expensive than end feed. Commercial work press is s a must but not for this job.
Hope you’re enjoying the Euros if you’re into football! And the weather! Thank you as always for the support! See you in the comments ❤

@@user-jl7yf6py1k probably true!
Top work as always Dan - at least you had a nice clear space to work in!
Cheers Chigs! Appreciate that. And yeh it’s always nice in an empty property too

@@Heatking why not buddy. You have made a good example to start with so hopefully it won’t be too difficult to work with in the future❤️
@@ArifPolicewala fingers crossed mate! However I hope this is in to last 😂
@@Heatking it will why won’t it.🤣
Great job as always Dan. All that lovely copper pipework. Beautiful and neat. Just to be boarded up never too be seen again 😢
Thanks Mac, and I know. It’s a shame :( haha but at least i have video evidence 😂
Mind boggling all those pipes, dont think I would sleep till job done. Good vid.
Haha cheers Roy, it’s mainly a maze of heating pipes in fairness, so just flow and returns :)

Thanks very much Matt! Copper does look a lot better, I’ll give it that 😂😂😂

Thanks mate, there was a maze of pipework. But thankfully, this one wasn’t too bad as all the ceilings and walls opened up!
great video dan its always hard to start a job like that, but rewarding when you get everything in place regards John

Just wondering.... what length are your copper pipes from the suppliers. Here in ireland they come 5.5m long..

Those o rings will probably degrade, press is for speed, most plumbers I know wouldn't use press in their own homes
What about pushfit fittings? What’s your opinion on them?

Building control are knobs. If you had put in 4” they would’ve said it needs to be 6”.
