    It’d be so hard to go back to CO after running this, even in Limited form. I’ll have mine cut for glass someday soon.

      yeah thats an understatement! now i see how it happens to all the 2011 guys!

    Which mag extensions have you found work with the magwell? I have a P10F with Henning extensions for CO so this seems like a good one to pick up

    • @ATexCate
      @ATexCate  9 месяцев назад

      That’s what I use! Henning extensions work with the CZ TacSport Magwell for the DWX! No modification was needed of anything thankfully. Plug and play

      @ATexCate excellent news! Definitely hoping they release an optics cut version at SHOT

    Is it worth it? I'm hesitant to mill my slide and I don't know why. I have a DWX & I have a SRO coming for it, I just don't know if I can "destroy" my slide mating the two together.

    • @ATexCate
      @ATexCate  9 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely worth it If you’re going to keep the optic on it. I compete with it in a limited optics division so for me, I won’t ever use it any other way..
      If it’s just a fun gun for you, maybe something you’d possibly sell down the road still looking for ample return value. Is the only reason I may tell someone it’s not for them. But that’s honestly very subjective anyway. If you’re hesitant, run it on irons for a while and if you’re just dying for an optic, or for any ulterior need/reason, send it!

      @@ATexCate Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. After thinking about it more I realize I should do it. My other pistols have optics on them with plate systems but I don't ever remove the optics because that's what I want (a dot vs irons). Every time someone made the comment last year "it's 2023 & they released a gun without an optics system blah blah blah..." I rolled my eyes so hard they almost got stuck backwards. My DWX is just that, Mine, it is a forever gun in my collection, & I want an optic on it. I'll send it in for milling & end up with a better product than a plate system.

    I know it’s skill too but, you shoot this as flat as the ported ones I’ve seen.
    Some of the porting for DWX comparisons I’ve seen are rather biased. They’ll take a stock vs ported, purposefully shoot the non-ported version slower….then you find out they have a porting service.
    Nice work!!

    • @ATexCate
      @ATexCate  9 месяцев назад +1

      I’m not a fan of porting personally, it can be a nicer feature for harder to control firearms in my opinion. but some guns like this, and almost any 2011 or even CZ75 just doesn’t need it. The grip fit is solid, and the balance of the mechanics as speed alone make a solid difference, by no means and I reefed on the gun either to make it run like that it pure honesty! Now a compensator? That’s worth it if recoil control is the goal! Definitely compensator over porting. Or neither at all, would be my suggestion on this one!
      I think you’ll be more than happy with the stock version.

    What brand holster were you able to find for the DWX?

    • @ATexCate
      @ATexCate  10 месяцев назад

      I use a holster from my sponsor Strike80Holster.
      But I will be using a Black Scorpion for the season. As they have dropped a DWX Race Holster for it.
      Outside of custom, the other option for usable kydex is the Ghost Hydra P. Which the shadow 2 version I’m told fits both guns.

    Who did the optics cut?

    • @ATexCate
      @ATexCate  9 месяцев назад

      I did it with Ming.
      At his shop Qian Industries.
      I was 5 axis aerospace/PIM machinist prior to contracting.
