Never feel ashamed to have something like pizza at an expensive buffet, just eat half a slice. I don't normally promote waste but it's your vacation/holiday and some wasted pizza or such is not the end of the world. I often get that feeling, damn...I wish I could try more! Thank you for the video!

Never forget that the quality of food at a buffet isn’t only reliant on the abilities of the chefs and cooks; it’s also the quality and availability of the items used. Just because buffets are opening up doesn’t necessarily mean the suppliers are back to their pre-pandemic levels
All that being said, Wynn properties have always been noted for the quality of their food. Just lacking a bit of imagination in the naming. Wynn started the Mirage. The buffet was called The Buffet. He started Bellagio, their buffet is also The Buffet. Now Wynn resort…

There is a huge issue currently with shellfish all over the country at the moment. There’s a problem due to something with the water being extremely warm, and there’s a problem with there being not enough boats out catching lobster and crabs. Everything is different during the pandemic 😷 the world is a different place, and who knows when things will come back to normal

I think prime rib is prime rib anywhere you go. The seasoning doesn’t really change. The reason why steakhouse has “better” prime rib and other meat is because it’s fresh unlike buffets where the meat is sitting out in heated lamps…not fresh

    • @lasvegaseats702

Not really the same. I don't want to bad-mouth the buffets, but there is a cheaper prime rib that that some buffets use to cut the cost. When you eat it, you'll know what I mean. I have friends who are chefs and even executive chefs at hotels. Trust me, I know

For two people , dinner , basic drinks , tax , tip it’s going to be around $200. That’s too much money , and you don’t need to spend that much or eat that much. That’s why so many people or obese in the USA , too much food , portions too big , a constant excess. A good value Buffett is one that has a good selection, of good quality items for about $40 per person. So around $100-110 all in for two.

Good catch! I didn't mention it, but they were horrible. Smelled a bit fishy, and was more like a hybrid of a clam and an Oyster. Idk what kind of oysters they were.

The food really doesn’t look very good. Nor does the presentation. Bit of a disappointment for a Wynn buffet

Prices are up everywhere, and if you want better quality, it'll cost you.

@Bob Jones .. exactly. These operations are huge. There are videos on what they do. I appreciated it more after learning about those.

@Bob Jones I've been to every single buffet on the strip multiple times and my last stay at the Wynn included two comp buffets per day for the package we booked right at the end of 2019. We tried their brunch and dinner buffets over three days and the quality then wasn't anything special at close to $50 back then. The food and selection has gone downhill dramatically over the years. That bullseye rare center of the prime rib is a perfect example of poor roasting technique. You're better off at Baccahnal for a few extra bucks. Overrated buffet imo nowadays

Every buffet has gone downhill from the time it first opened.
