Thank you. Such a GREAT video. I love how you have tips after you said it’s inspected at a buffet but if you want fresh try. Thanks so much for your honesty. Definitely subscribing
BTW in the Orlando Florida area there is a restaurant called the Boston Lobster Feast and it's AYCE Maine Lobster 🦞, Prime Rib, Crab legs plus 50 other items for $59.99. Fantastic!!
I'm a sucker for chocolate mousse... I really do like creamy chocolate... Another great post. Next time I'm in Vegas and NOT broke down... I plan to hit a couple more places you've highlighted in your videos!!! Thank you...
Branzino is likely the most common fish cooked and served at western/euro restaurants in NYC. Even though domestically we have a lot of trout farms nearby. But hardly any restaurant has trout. And branzino is from Europe.
You made me laugh when you said, I’ll take the whole thing. I didn’t know you could ask that on the prime rib 😊 oh my goodness if it was Gordon Ramsey you would’ve have that plate thrown at your head 😁i was screaming it’s watermelon 🍉 I only new that from watching another video. Have a wonderful Sunday & thanks again for your videos
Coming in a month. Trying to stay on a food budget. Videos from last year most prices have went up. Advice for good n cheap breakfast buffet and dinners? On and of strip. Hoping to have the food plan set before we leave. Also 🇨🇦 so got to stay on budget. Lol.
Yeah prices are way up. You can browse my playlist.. the usual places for deals are Ellis Island, Ocean One Bar & Grill, Krazy Buffet (Chinese), and some of my recent videos... $20 for a 16oz Ribeye at Jackson's ruclips.net/video/2fC8DAqQkUs/видео.html - $9.99 Steak & Eggs at Lakes Lounge ruclips.net/video/wBNRTzRseMI/видео.html
You would have to decide that for yourself, the distance and the fee for Uber, and the quality of the buffet at the Palms. There are probably better buffets closer to you. Price might be higher but you wouldn't need to pay for Uber.
Great review! Gone are the days of king crab. I also doubt that the prime rib they are serving is prime grade and not select or choice. Looks like a great selection of food unfortunately the price is about $13 bucks to much. I also think it's interesting that they serve tri tip so you avoid the prime rib. Thanks.
Who wants thin cut prime rib at a buffet? You may as well stay home and make yourself a sandwich with deli roast beef. Get a THICK cut of prime rib at the buffet and the crab as well! 😜🤔
Can't do it unless I take a day off on Wednesday, or the crowds die down. Gotta get there early. But I don't know... Like the comment just before yours, I think I might have a better time at a seafood restaurant. The quality isn't quite like a beach city, it's Las Vegas buffet lobster. I've been to the ones in the past. It's ok, but not that good. But I did eat a lot.
Las Vegas buffets are just that, kinda mediocre. I have found through travel, the best buffets are overseas, particularly in Seoul Korea and Singapore. They know how to handle seafood without it drying out. And the variety is second to none. If you ever get a chance to visit these countries, you’ll never regret it.
Although I do agree with you, the great thing about Vegas Buffets of the Past were that they were generally so cheap or free. I miss the $10 breakfast buffet at Palms.
@@igloozoo3771 l live in Australia just give me the breakfast buffet you can keep your crab legs ,lobster and any other sea food. Give me waffles pancakes icecream maybe donuts and l will be ABSOLUTELY IN HEAVEN!
Years ago I went to the lunch buffett at Mandalay Bay. My strategy was to eat the Prime Rib, King Crab (yes they had it) and jumbo 🍤. I felt guilty because I eat so much lol lol. Like you love the Fatty rare cuts. Price? Unbelievable $29.99 it was a fantastic meal. Enjoy your videos and one day I'll get back to Vegas.
Watching your videos I think you must eat a lot of meat! 😁 Nothing wrong with that...🐃🐖🐓 I'm older than you are and my AYCE days are over. These days I feel miserable after over eating...not in my 20's or 30's anymore. I'd rather just go to a steakhouse for beef or a seafood place and not over eat. 👴
Prime Rib is reddish in color. It's different from a steak. The middle does look rare, but only a small portion of it. The rest went to medium and medium-well. You can request to have it blackened, or request the end pieces.
I’d probably go to a high quality non-buffet for the money. Sushi, chinese, steak. There are so many great restaurants in Vegas. I feel obligated to stuff myself at buffets which is not healthy.
Yeah I like restaurants more than buffets. But once in awhile I really look for quantity since I still eat quite a bit. Also, people want to see buffets on a RUclips chennel

Save your money folks and go to a Golden Corral instead! 😂 Took my family here last night and it was awful! The prime rib was tough rib. In fact, it was like chewing on a Willy Wonka gobstopper. The rest of the food was meh. Anyways, we did go on a Tuesday. Maybe it's better on the weekends? I hate to be that guy to complain! I am not the type to complain, and I actually feel bad for typing this. 😢 We actually had reservations for the Bachanal, but they cancelled our reservation 2 hours before due to a "water problem." Was not happy at all. 😢
I agree that most all prime ribs I've had at buffets were not nearly as good as the ones in restaurants. But Golden Corral? In Vegas it's Jerry's Nugget or Ellis Island, and some other places (outside of an expensive steakhouse. See my video on Jerry's Nugget and Primarily Prime Rib at South Point Hotel.
It’s refreshing to hear a frank and fair review thanks

The Palms used to be my favorite place to play and eat, when I lived in Vegas. Other places I used to eat at were Red Rocks, Green Valley Ranch.
👍 Red Rock is far from where I'm at, but I love it. I was always at Green Valley Ranch and Sunset Station though
I really like your videos because your honest. Appreciate you sharing this with us and have a great day.

In my local store a 1 pound ribeye is about $18 with tax so the buffet is very well priced

Is the line always crazy long with huge wait times?
No, there are times when it's not too bad. I went at a peak time, but the weight wasn't all that bad.

If you're from out-of-town and staying on the Strip, is it worth the Uber ride to the Palms?

The palms had a rockin poker room. It’s time to restore it.

I thought palms just renovated?
Haven't tried the buffet, but Palms has good restaurants. Scotch 80 is good and less costly than most strip restaurants.

Yes everyone is going to the AYCE buffet!
Wednesdays for Lobster and Fridays for Prime Rib & crab
It’s nit the fish, it’s more the way and when it’s been cooked…..probably been held to long in the heater or over cooked, nice review
👍
Can you do a michelin star video of vegas restaurants?
Maybe.. some of them are crazy expensive... Like Joel Robuchon, Bazaar Meat by Jose Andres. But I probably will... when I'm in the mood
I'm not a fan of buffet but this looks pretty decent. Have a good day my friend.

I was there a lot. Loved it at Mandalay... when they had king crab.
By now they should know to make the salmon cook to order or take it off the line.. It's a waste a beautiful fish.
