I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I think the Chinese food you showcased looks better than some here; also the prices are very reasonable. Prices have gone up everywhere and the Bay Area is no exception. I don't go to restaurants too often; I usually buy take out and eat at home. Great video!
Am Lee has been around for as long as I can remember. One of my favorite Chinese Restaurant was on Sahara just past Boulder Station that was call " Diamond ". It closed down many years ago but I would drive across town just to go eat there.
Yes! Looks original Cantonese Style. Looks delicious. Actually as for food ingredients is very versatile and free style for home cooking. You can have any ingredients and just cook. Standard Seasoning not difficult. Base Seasoning: 1. Sugar or MSG 2. Oyster Sauce 3. Abalone Sauce 4. Light Soy sauce 5. Dark Soy Sauce 6. Ketchup Sauce 7. Shaoxing Wine 8. Corn Starch (Thickening Sauce) 9. Fried Garlic & Fragrance Oil 10. White Pepper Powder (Ajinomoto) 11. Chicken Powder (pack) / Liquid Stock (bottled) 11. Marmite 12. Bean Paste 12. Black Bean Paste Sauce 13. Chilli Sauce (Varieties depending individual acquired taste : Boh (paste), bottle chilli garlic or with calamansi, sambal belacan chilli paste, sukiyaki, thai chilli sauce (sweet) etc....) 14. Salt 15. Hoisin Sauce are generally in every chinese household kitchen seasoning storage cupboard, fridge or some near cooking station.
The Great Wall used to be my favorite low priced Chinese food, but after the Pandemic they serve their food in Styrofoam take-out containers. To me that's like saying.."Hey, you're not welcome to do Dine-In anymore, so just to Take out if you like"😟 Straight up!!
New York Chinese on W Lake Meade is my go to place. Theyre from my neighborhood in Brooklyn. They have New York Chicken Chow Mein which is different than west coast style
Great video been watching a few of your uploaded as stuff all very good. Hope to pop over for a holiday from the UK can't wait to try some of the places you have been keep up the good work.
Thank you for loving Chinese foods! There is one thing that I want to point out is that the soup dumplings should be "guan tang bao" which basically means dumplings filled with soup. And "xiao(smaller) long(steamer baskets) bao(dumplings)" that you have mentioned is another dimension, it describes those smaller dumplings by size and it`s no guarantee that they have soup. Sizes of soup dumplings can vary and the ones in the video are definitely good to be described as "xiao long bao" too but as another huge fan of those soup dumpilings I would like to share this with you.❤
I really enjoy your Video's my friend thanks for the content and I've been coming to Las Vegas for thirty years so I know it well I miss the Vegas of the 90's and early 2000's it was better back then now it's all corporate and just about making money.
Great video! Looks like a lot of different Chinese food options in Las Vegas. Have you found any Cantonese style restaurants? That's the Chinese food style I grew up with and I haven't found many around these days. Keep up the great work and have a great week!
It's ok. Not the best. But some people love it there. It's closed til the end of June, I think. Noy sure. Make sure you call if you're planning on going. To me, it's just so so.
Let's test your memory, there were 3 places that I remember having the best Chinese food in Vegas, then or now. The Cockatoo on Las Vegas Blvd, just south of Vegas World, I think it was called China Gal at DI and Eastern next to Ross and the best one of all time, the original Sonny's Salon which is under what is now Spring Mountain across from the TI. The shrimp Lo Mein was I would put against anything else in town. The total hidden gem was Lillie Langtry's at the Golden Nugget, I would mix a porterhopuse steak with their shrimp lo mein, first time I did it the waiter gave me a look of death, then he tried it.....
Dude, we're from different worlds. I used to love Diamond China on Sahara and Valley View, Silver Dragon on Flamingo & Maryland, Sczechuan on Spring Mt. & Decatur.
OMG, LOVE THE FRESH SEAFOOD WHERE ARE OR IS THE PLACE PLEASE I NEED TO GO I SEE ALLOT OF GOOD FOOD HERE ARE THE LOCATION IN LAS VEGAS STRIP ?? PLEASE LET ME KNOW THE NAME OF THE RESTAURANT I'M NEW IN THE CANAL AND LEFT YOU A LIKE I LIKE WHAT YOU ARE SHOWING GOOD VIDEO/FOOD
It's at a few different places. Check the description of the video for links and information. The videos in the description will show you more in detail about each restaurant.
Personally I love SK & HK (Chinatown) & Great Wall (umc) & Gourmet China(centennial) all are in the heavy rotation at any given day for us 😊 Did u hear about the car accident that happened to legends oyster bar & grill location?
We're craving good old school Chinese food. We only have a few days next time we're in Vegas. If you have to pick just one. Which restaurant do you recommend?
You're right that the fat on the duck wasn't taken out. Make sure to get really good duck, not just chopped up duck. They should cut the skin off, then shave all the fat off.
If you REALLY want “authenticity” in local Chinese meals, you should eat at local Chinese eateries, NOT 5-STAR hotel Chinese food, though what these 5 STAR hotel Chinese restaurants serve are more expensive and better plating.🎉
This guy knows how to eat! Everything looks delicious.
👍

All the great reasonable priced food are on the Eastside.

Reason we call Chinese chefs 'Sifu' or, 'master'. Takes years of experience to get the right flavors on a dish.

We're craving good old school Chinese food. We only have a few days next time we're in Vegas. If you have to pick just one. Which restaurant do you recommend?
I would go to SK Seafood or Rainbow Kitchen. They're not classic old school, but they have both.
Local Take-Out Chinese eateries are simpler and easily available 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍
