I really need to find an absolute basics of digital painting tutorial, like i can't wrap my brain around how to mix and layer colors properly/how that works, pen pressure and how to make the strokes more diverse, that sort of thing. I actually just bought my first tablet this week, a Huion WH1409.
Any advice on what to focus on? I'm a little new to 3D and while I love effects like parallax occlusion and displacement and creating maps for every little visual feature I really need to reign it in to what a 1 to 3 person team can be reasonably expected to do. I don't want to sacrifice all depth though so maybe something toonish with bump mapping? I've been doing 2D work for about 15 years but 3D is something that requires more focus because I could easily sink days into creating a single material. It's a strange learning process that is naturally resistant to perfectionists like me, I pretty much have to dump more into my brain than I can handle at first and then sort it out later.

I got hardstuck yesterday with this problem yesterday.
I only wish Krita would be available on iPad, or at least if wrap around mode was on Procreate.
Thank you for this
Thanks for the tips! Clear and easy to follow, even for non-artists such as myself
