Interesting you called the crabs blue claw, we just say blue crabs. This entire meal brings some good childhood memories. Growing up, we never purchased crabs because we were able to crab frequently. Another fantastic meal.
My family enjoyed many a blue crab boil in my childhood. Father would catch them when the Hudson River wasn’t polluted. Newspaper covered the dining table. Melted butter with lemon, side of potato salad big pitcher of fresh lemonade. Sometimes cornbread. That was heaven 😋😋❣️
another masterpiece, thanks BBQ SS - one thing I noticed about the Red Snapper--- when you cut the slits in the fillets 1, 2, 3, did you see that surprised look on the Red Snapper's face when you did that?? He's buggin out man big surprise was NOT expecting that after losing his entire guts and fins LOL 😆
Man! I've gotta have your bay rub! I grew up on the Chesapeake and have never liked the salt in Old Bay. I remember when they used coarse grain salt, so much better.

Oh, now seafood is my favorite. We usually have a seafood boil 4 or 5 times in the summer so now I have to tell my family we're late, lol! I think crawfish were skimpy this year though. Looks good, Sir!
Are you sure we're not kinfolk? I grilled red snapper fillets just the other day. There's a local fish market that primary sells to restaurants, but also will sell seafoods to me. I almost bought whole fish, but just got two nice size fillets. A couple of years ago, Costco had a two pack of stainless steel perforated grilling pans, I grilled the fillets using one. I also grilled veggies; onion slices, green onions, zucchini, green, red and yellow bell peppers, that brushed with olive oil, and a no-salt seasoning spice blend, on the other pan... Since it's just me and my wife, I use my Instant Pot for boils of shrimp, sausage, red potatoes, corn and, of course beer..plus seasonings..
Let them know its not Mcdonalds filet o fish , this is real fish with bones ! Looks delicious ! This is how I grew up eating seafood . News paper family friends and bushel of blue crabs !
Nice! I grew up in the dark room on sheet film. Got my fist 4x5 view at 11 years old. Was a commercial food photographer for many years in NYC. I love large format and still own many cameras today.
@@bbqsouthernstyle man you're kidding I was a prof'l photographer in NYC thru all the 80s into 90s doing portraits album covers and magazine work, that's crazy! Shared a darkroom on Union Square, specialty was making toned b/w prints - small world!
This is by far the absolute best cooking channel on this platform!!
Thank you as always Darren!!!!

What’s the point in leaving the head on? No one is going to eat it. I’ve always been curious about that.
The head has lots of meat inside. Also helps hold in things put in the cavity. Also presentation.
OMG ! U've the sexiest voice i ever heard of 😇 0:11 And this face 🤩
