As a operator I have to teach beginners on easy ups the sit start since the boards break constantly going down the dock ramp and they all seem to have a big big problem going boardslide and turn afterwards. I always want them to put the handle on either left or right hip, pull the toes up and push the rear leg downward. The turn is initiated, you want to have the shoulders over the knees and slowly release your arms towards the front. Works out great if you don’t have a 2.0 to work with.

Not very helpful at all. Who has their own wake boarding park with tailored starting ramps etc? Why don’t you show how to start from water after you have fall? That would be the same no matter what environment you’re in.

Cable parks (which may be more common if you live inland) are different to wakeboarding behind a boat and you don't start from water there. If you fall, you swim to the shore and walk back to the start dock. I really recommend getting an induction as a beginner though. It can be intimidating to jump on the big cable right away!
