Good advice on asking the cable operator. They're always helpful. Also, don't be intimidated if it is your first time - everyone was a beginner once. You will fall. Everyone falls. Do not get in a rush for the person behind you either, just concentrate on what you are doing. I had an unfortunate experience once at a park that wasn't my home turf - there are jerks everywhere (rider in this case - employees were awesome), so just ignore them. Sorry to lump this one, just wanted to share.
thanks for sharing these bits of advice man. Sucks to hear about the riders, I guess there are douchbags everywhere but at least the stafff and most other people were cool. Keep it up :)
Local may be a stretch :) - Mountain Wake is the closest to me, but Terminus is just a bit further. I live in east TN, so it's not too far, but not as convenient as I would like.
Great that you´re doing a beginner series! When I started a year ago, I got all my advice from RUclips aswell. But I had to search for everything I wanted to learn, on it´s own...
20 yrs ago I did a few weekends on the cable and finally managed to get up and go around, tense and all lol. Recently I went for the first time in ages and did it first time and even managed jumpstarts and a few switches! And a final switch/faceplant which hurt but I'm happy! Cheers for the instructions they make sense, to follow them you need energy, memory and balls at least haha!!
Show us what happens when you hit an obstacle while still on edge. Kidding! :) Newb wakeboarder here... I learned the hard way that it's probably better to learn how to flatten out on kickers first, otherwise the funbox can become the painbox. :D
Are there any videos on doing toeside turns on the 2 tower cable? To hit the kicker at my local place, you have to be able to do toeside turns (I can already do heelside)
Thanks Lucas, so it's a combination of waiting till later and cutting harder at it, combined with getting low and standing tall at the top of the kicker. It can take a few trials and errors, but eventually you'll find the sweet spot :)
If I could make a suggestion, you should do a how to on wrapped tricks. Not all tricks, obviously, but basically how to get wrapped up and the approach and release🤙cheers
how to make corners if i have oposite stance ? in toe side... or each time i need to switch stance before corner ? and please keep going in Kite stuff :-) it is very interesting to watch
Yes, definitely continue step by step. I'm a newbie and there are most likely many more who'd like to watch your videos for beginners. Love them!
Dave! Keep these lessons going! After watching this, I will definitely try the obstacles in my next session. ☺️
Unreal, that makes it worthwhile making. Good luck! :)

Good advice, what is your local cable park?

Thats right, Dave, and that is my point. Just keep riding and don't worry about it. Have a good time, and keep pushing.
I'm in east Tn as well, wish there was somewhere a little closer.

I get you Eric, yeah I just think a clear pathway could come in handy :) :)

Thanks, loud and clear!

Ahhhhh I see now why I have been getting pulled of the rails, cut a wee bit harder, allow for the cable?
Great vids, do wakeskate stuff please...
Excellent video david! But how do you get more air on the kicker? i feel like i always just go over it but i dont get air
Thanks Lucas, so it's a combination of waiting till later and cutting harder at it, combined with getting low and standing tall at the top of the kicker. It can take a few trials and errors, but eventually you'll find the sweet spot :)
I would really like a set of videos like this but behind boat

yeah like the concept of wrapped. Really good idea actually as I think it's different to how most people think. Thanks Justin

Peter Y I find in my small time of wakeboarding that is is better to switch before corner but it is definately not needed. Ask your cable instructor.
when was this filmed
like 2 days ago. How come :)
i don't understand why I should look to the side rather than straight when you're on the figure?
When was this filmed davie
MATTHEW Sorensen last Tuesday 😊😊
why are you looking to the far shore and not in the direction of travel?
Man can you make a film about this "underwhirly" or something you did last time. What do you think about it. Or not this 1 trick but a few tricks.
yessss, I want to do that a lot :) :)
I'm waiting :D
can you go to the philippines
and teach me
how to do it
I already thought that I go for third time and start jumping
Boat or Cable?
which do I prefer? I'd have to say boat, but only by a tiny tiny bit
