    Hi Julia! I really really really love your videos and explanations! I like all the points of view showing us accurately what you are describing, and for a french like me, it's so helpfull to ear your explanations taking time for my brain to process 😅.
    I discovered wakeboard this summer (at the age of 41! What a pity!), but i like it so much already! So frustrated that our winter closes all the wake parks around, but i use this time to prepare my body for the next season.
    Please continue your videos, it's really great to follow you and learn with you, and above all: Wow! what style you have! Everything is super clean and truly magnificent to see! I adore!!❤❤❤

    Hi Julia, thank you for the tutorial! How do I overcome the fear of the release? I've tried to do the raley multiple times, and my edging is ok but I am so scared to do the release. I never even tried to do the actual release, it's like there's some stopper in my head. What would you recommend in this case?

    • @JuliaRick
      @JuliaRick  Год назад

      Have you already tried it on a 2 tower cable park system? Try it there first, to understand the technique of the release ☺️💪

    • @ihorprokopenko5167
      @ihorprokopenko5167 Год назад +1

      @@JuliaRick yes, I was trying only on a 2 tower cable with slow speed but still was scared to do the release

    • @JuliaRick
      @JuliaRick  Год назад +3

      @@ihorprokopenko5167 hmm… then it’s maybe just not a trick for you if you are too scared. Do other tricks which don’t scare you and maybe someday you will eventually find the courage to try💪 don’t force yourself, there is no reason for it😉

      Try to do it with a short cable (barely touching water)
      Keep edging without release and you will get pulled out of the water on the corner. Make sure the operator is stopping the cable at this point
      This way you will get the feeling and air without actual release. Then start to release a little

    Are you using 138 or 144 cm now for raley?

  • @LeighMath
    @LeighMath 4 месяца назад

    Is the release (or scoop) the same on a raley as a surface heel-side backroll? I can land that (sometimes 😅) but struggle with the release for raley for some reason.. if they are different how? Thanks in advance! 🙏

    • @JuliaRick
      @JuliaRick  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes it’s quite the same but after releasing you keep looking straight up to the carrier to go straight up. Furthermore try a more progressive edge for the raley and have your weight distributed evenly on both legs 👍

    • @LeighMath
      @LeighMath 4 месяца назад

      🙏 I’ll keep working on it! 👍🏻
