Late to the party, finally beat Weiss after 2 days. Can confirm this strategy works, a bit of rng involved with regards to him staying behind the shield
It's not even possible to beat him in 9 seconds. I did the same exact things as those so called youtubers and you can only get him down to 3/4 health and then it stays there until he goes through all 3 stages and after the second stage, he uses immaculate end so you have to have reprieve to survive the fight.
What're you talking about? Yeah, beating him in 9 seconds or whatever is impossible but you absolutely can kill him in his second phase during the second stagger. I just did it the other day and posted the video. I would even argue that if he gets to phase 3, whether he casts Immaculate End or not right away, you're dead. That phase is basically unwinnable in my opinion @@kevinburke1325
@Wolfqueen007 I managed to beat him after he went to phase 3 and back to phase 1. It was definitely the hardest fight of all time, but phase 2 he didn't stagger for me at all regardless of what I used. It seemed like a completely different fight than what I was seeing. I don't know.
Excellent strategy, however I must say that I find this fight slightly boring with all the running lol. I get that he's supposed to be difficult, but I think the inmmunity was too much. Made the fight unnecesary longer, i guess they really wanted to make him use his flashy limit break.

okay this might sound stupid but the thing i struggled with most in this fight was the camera, in your game it looks to lock on and follow Weiss, how did you do this. did I change something in the options that turned off the follow locked on target or something?
you have to dodge his abilities (whenever weiss uses a skill with a name, not the normal attacks). when he misses he becomes pressured. then you can focus strike him and his stagger meter will build. if you don’t pressure weiss before attacking he’s “immaculate” you can’t hurt him.

If you haven't beaten him yet, use the shield thing Aerith have. But if you mash true strike and triangle when he is staggered, you can just use arcane ward and spam the strongest spells with Aerith and Cloud to finish him off before he finished you
@@alanlancer008 It's called "lustrous shield", and you gain it by mastering one of her weapons. Don't remember which one it is, but I think it is the weapon you can find in Aerith's room in the Shinra building. It's an ability which use a single ATB, and when you stand behind it all projectiles are nullified
Idk what you are talking about I did a similar strategy last night. this works just fine. He did some things in here that would have made my run easier if I had known better.
@xaldin32 well, that's fake news. I played that boss battle and he is way difficult than what is shown by youtubers. You must be using cheat codes to win as well.
@karikawaiichan it takes a lot of parrying and really just dodging a lot. People who say the fight is easy are not people to listen to because they cheated. It is a long and difficult fight. Just keep at it and you will eventually win.
@karikawaiichan I had to revive my characters hundreds of times and even then, it was a miracle that I achieved victory. RUclipsrs like to make everything seem easy by using codes and things like that. If you want good advice, dodge, parry, use magic in second phase, and just keep reviving characters.
Are you serious rn? He has a part with magical resistance and OP combos Then he switch to physical resistance and he can reduce his stagger bar in this part he Can also regen himself .. He has a super move that deal 9999 and Will kill your whole team if you dont have around 9000 hp and physical protect spell on your characters at that very moment.. best part if you take too long to finish him : he will do it twice in a row just to finish you once and for all lol. How dare you saying he has no tactic involved.. you just to bad to do it ! The strat i used was to build stagger and avoid to trigger it untill he start is part 2 then i just cast firaga to stun him .. Talking about no tactics.

Parry materia. Hold r1 and circle, or whatever platform equivalent to block + dodge

Press R3 for target lock. If it doesn’t work then there’s some camera setting you changed.

I can’t bear send phase. He usually uses his special n kill me in 1 attack
