Holy crap, Clouds mindscape being literally clouded (it's gonna hamper the graphics rendering but I believe the devs can make it happen) that's a good idea
Christopher Gore not against aerith and cloud romance but the substance sort of dies out if aeriths only reason for liking cloud is “ i knew someone like you”
Believe me, i feel similar. But somehow. SOMEHOW! A long death girl who he met and know for a month or so is considered better suited even though Cloud suffered from a split personality disorder. Like, hello? Where was Aerith when Cloud was about to fall from the Shinra tower, does Aerith even have the key to pull the things we saw in this video? I really highly doubt it. It's embarsing to see people try so hard to proof a point how Cloud cant survive without Tifa
@@MrInuhanyou123 Are you refering to the Ultimania of 2010? I read it, it's quite a puzzle but im pretty sure they said something about Cloud and Tifa confessing without using strong words like I love you, correct?
I feel that Cloud is too hard on himself in this scene. He went through a lot of traumatic shit in a very short period of time and he could of just gone insane from it all and never recovered. Instead his mind found a way to move forward and repair itself. Sure it did this by creating a lie but it helped him survive. The mind is a powerful tool and it saved his life. Cloud doesn't give himself enough credit for that. It's hardly his fault that he "believed the lie", it was what he had to do to survive and be able to find out the real truth. He was never "weak" in the first place, nobody that is weak could survive what he did. Damn I love this game...
@@XElhirrimX It is. The Mako just made his memories even harder for him to connect to each other. Tifa was the only link that allowed Cloud to finally complete himself.
@@ultrixsoma2736 absolutely bothing in the game or the compilation said his memories were confused because of the psychological trauma. Not a single line. The mako sickness did this. It's explicitely said that it affects memories. Just like with the other Hojo experiments that complitely lost their consciousness.
Sephirot; No matter how hard i tried, ive never could scape reality, of what happened here. That, was my downfall. Cloud: Sephirot... Is that you? Sephirot: You tell me Cloud: Im done playing games sephirot. Sephirot: Oh i assure you, this is not a Game. It takes a strong man, to deny whats in front of him and if the truth is unbearable, you create your own.
well Cloud suffers of PTSD and accuses himself of the death of Zack. he literally even takes the words of Zack too seriously by being him his Living Legacy by becoming him. i think that cloud punishes himself by becoming Zack
Want to know what "love" is? Just watch this scene. Tifa stayed with Cloud day and night when he was on the verge of being broken, then helped piece him back together when he really was broken, even at the risk of sacrificing herself. If this isn't the ultimate example of love, then love doesn't exist.
Yes, I agree with your opinion .. Hopefully in this remake, this scene is made more touching the feelings of players, showing a deep bond and love between Cloud and Tifa. so that Clerith has no more reason to brag or bullshit ..

How am i supposed to belief Cloud and Tifa are brother and sister after having a tender moment like this? Like, when or when do siblings ever talk and communicate like this? Seriously, Tifa is way into Cloud, she is just not so open about it.
Aerith's death is iconic scene that is why people always thinks. But for me other than that when I hear or read FF7, Cloud and Tifa are always in my mind.
I am glad i am not the only one, i have always loved this scene the most since last time as it was a really turning point of the story where Cloud coming to terms with the truth and the whole revelation of the past is revealed in detail. Plus there is small appearance of Zack as well showing care for Cloud as a friend. I am looking forward to this scene more than the other in the remake
I'm saddened by Aerith's death but this one feels different. It's not some groundbreaking or shocking event like Aerith's death but this one shows the depth of relationship of the characters. It shows the emotion and their bond. Truly magnificent.
Same here, many kind of feel when I watch their story. Aerith's death is iconic, but most tearfull scene is here. How cloud faced the experience of his life and how tifa tries to support cloud however he is and tell him he's not fighting his life alone.
Everyone talking about tifa’s unyielding support but here you also see how cloud has loved tifa since his childhood. every deeply rooted feeling and memory cloud has from his past literally revolves around tifa. She was the reason he began his hero’s journey.
I've made this point in many places - all calls to action in Clouds hero's journey are facilitated by Tifa Lockhart. She is his inspiration to leave home and join SOLDIER. She finds him on the sector 7 platform and gets him involved in avalanche. She saves him from the lifestream so he can save the world. She sees through Cloud's facade to the selfless hero underneath from the moment he follows her onto that bridge when they are kids on. The course of the game only reinforces her feelings as he becomes the hero she knows he really is.
AArdW01f God tifa is just such a great character!!she never gave up on cloud, when Tifa was little she wanted Cloud to become her hero but it turned out to be the other way around, Tifa became his hero✨the way their love develops through the game is the defenition of a “slow burn”.
ierdnA adrecaL i think it’s due to personal preference and also denying facts stated by developers/Ultimanias and twisting the meaning of said statement/facts. I always saw the Clerith ship as the “fantasy” and saw the Cloti ship as the “reality” and recently a lot of people have been agreeing to that.
@@xzvmakiz5171 yes, in the OG, Aerith represents fantasy and Tifa represents reality. In the first part of the game, Cloud is not himself. He believes that he was in Soldier First Class, strong, confident and the hero who save the damsel. Aerith is included in this fantasy because she let him play the hero part. Cloud also have a 16 y/o mind & heart even his 21 y/o. Boys like this state of mind is easily to fall in love or attracted. Then Aerith dies this represents that Cloud don't need this kind of fantasy but to face his reality which is Tifa( to face Tifa for what really happened 5 years ago. He didnt made in Soldier and his a shame for himself). Tifa known Cloud since childhood. Even they're not that close but after the promise they attraction to each other go strong. Tifa never give up on Cloud. She always helps him, protect him and support him. Tifa accepts Cloud for who he is, in his worst & best.
I just realized that this isn't a one way session of Tifa helping Cloud. This is also where Tifa pieced back her past. Notice how of the three memories, Tifa only has one that she fully remembers (the Nibelheim 5 years ago). The one about the promise beside the well is hazy to her, and she never noticed about Cloud in front of her window. People think that only Cloud is a crazy mess at the start of the game, but Tifa is actually not that far off either. Think about it. If you were Tifa, all you'd remember is that Seph came, burned the village, stabbed you in the chest, and the next thing you know you're in Midgar with Master Zangan. That's why Tifa is *so* cryptic with Cloud throughout Disc 1 and Disc 2 despite being his childhood friend, and that's why their interactions are often awkward and don't add up (you see her reel back every time the past is brought as the topic even though she should be the main reliable source for them). Tifa doesn't want to talk about the past not because of some convenient plot device to set up the twist, but it's because she doubted her own memory of it. She never knew Cloud all that well despite being neighbors because of her social clique, and thus she doubted ever making that promise by the well, and doubted ever having a crush in the first place. She thought Cloud never came 5 years ago but Cloud started recollecting 5 years ago in great detail at the inn in Kalm, and thus she doubted that memory too. This is further compounded when the party revisit Nibelheim and see it not burned to the ground, making her doubt if she was rescued from a burning Nibelheim, or if she was just leaving it behind for the big city with her master. I hope the remake conveys this perfectly. Cloud and Tifa isn't just a story about the girl next door saving her broken childhood crush. It's about mental illness and what it does to your identity, the meaning of memory for one's own identity, and about the bond between people who share memories. With this scene, the two can finally move on from Nibelheim 5 years ago. In Advent Children, Tifa talks with Cloud again so he can finally move on from FF7 main game, delivering them both proper to the future. Edit: Case and point being Zack's parents in Gongaga. Aerith looked sad especially after the girlfriend question, but Tifa looks panicky. Aerith had no problem laying out how Zack was her boyfriend, but Tifa denied knowing Zack despite reacting to the name. Keep in mind at this point the player isn't supposed to know who Zack is and how important he is. Tifa probably denied this because it contradicts Cloud's memory about 5 years ago (Tifa can only know Zack if he was the other SOLDIER visiting Nibelheim instead of Cloud) and she's scared of what will happen (to their person and their current friendly relationship) if either of them finds out that their version of the past is the wrong one.
Great comment. People are either caught up in the waifu or shipping debate. The real reason why Tifa is a great character is not because she is a beautiful woman that can kick ass and a love interest for the protagonist. Everyone in FF VII suffers from a sort of survivors guilt as well as trauma from it. Tifa barely holds herself together and is so scared to ruffle her relationships with basically anyone but especially by confronting Cloud so much that the whole of FF VII could have been solved in Midgar if she just insisted on talking to Cloud. Instead, she has her heart "locked" as she is afraid. Her doubting herself and Cloud is a major part of FF VII and that comes from weakness. It seems that few people understand that FF VII is great because everyone is a mess and has major flaws and learn to accept, deal or learn from them. The rebirth trailer has Tifa actually confronting Cloud about her part in the Nibelhiem incident, which is perhaps something major, or not.
You see they are already laying out this for Tifa in the remake perfectly. You can see that she is greatly troubled by her past, and it is not hard to see the reason she wants to have Cloud around is not entirely altruistic. She needed Cloud because he is to her the last memento of her lost home, he reminds her that she had a peaceful life before (at this point she probably doesn’t associate Cloud with the Nibelheim incident yet). No doubt she found Cloud in the same situation as the OG, that is why she doesn’t want to stress him the details and instead just want to keep him around. Her character is contextualised even more via her interaction with Barret in the remake. They have an interesting dynamic: they both lost homes to fiery destruction caused by Shinra, they live like a family and care for Marlene, and build a life together. They act like a married couple, to be fair, Tifa shared more of her life with Barret than with Cloud at this moment. But through Barret we can see that Tifa is greatly in need of stability and a place to belong, otherwise she couldn’t move on from her loss in Nibelheim. In the Yuffie DLC there is a scene where Tifa rushed off to investigate Don Corneo’s men when she heard that they are probably after Barret, which lead to the Wall Market dressing up shenanigans. The remake made it clear that Tifa decided to do this on her own without consulting Barret, and the scene comes up right after Cloud’s supposed death in sector 5’s bombing, so her motivation was most likely to protect Barret, not wanting to lose yet another close friend. If you read the novel On the way to a smile, after the ending of FF7 OG, the party disbanded and only Cloud, Tifa and Barret remain together, with Barret only left after they had rebuilt another bar with the promise to return after he had settle his own issue. This context is important as we see this in remake where the trio look upon the ruin of sector 7 and talk about building another bar. The three characters share the same struggle to find stability and peace in their lives, haunted by the events of their past all the while. That’s why it’s important to understand character romance are sometimes not just about attraction and chemistry, because I would argue Tifa has better chemistry with Barret, yet they never have a romance, while living the closest thing to a married life. Tifa struggle to live with Cloud between FF7 and Advent Children because she admit she doesn’t know him that well and his memory of Aerith’s death was a huge roadblock to their romance as well. But she tolerated all of that because ultimately she had achieved a semblance of peace living with Cloud, and similar to Barret, she shares with Cloud the sad memory of witnessing Aerith’s death and the lingering guilt of causing destruction and death on their path to pursue Shinra and Sephiroth, that is ultimately what made her relationship with Cloud work.
i guess no one cares about the doctor being eerily calm inside the building during the earthquake, then dies as the building collapses into the lifestream. RIP doctor, u will me missed.
"Thanks Tifa, tell him what you told me, later. He'll probably be so happy" Damn, even his subconscious is telling her how deeply he cares what she thinks about about him, they never say to each other "I love you" but those little details are so obvious and beautiful... I swear I love this couple
Geez...Mako-poisoned twice, an identity crisis, geostigma, and skewered by Sephiroth a second time. Guy really can't catch a break can he? Cloud needs a looong vacation with Tifa when the world isn't in a crisis.
He just needs to cry his eyes out, marry Tifa officially and then leave with her where not even Sephiroth can find them (this last is kind of impossible, but platonically beautiful)
Barret takes care of the kids? 😂 But yeah, they should go to Costa del Sol or maybe Cosmo Canyon or Wutai so they can be in a neutral place. Just the two of them 😏
@@hathaway.1166 and yet aerith fans who are messed up in the head downplay that. Saying tifa is jealous of aerith. SHE IS JEALOUS. NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS. 🤦♀️
This scene!! THE moment when they open themselves to each other... When Cloud finally expose his weakness to tifa... I'm a man and i totally melted for this emotionnal story!
The romance between Cloud and Tifa has always seemed much more natural and heartfelt than with Aerith. Aerith is a better match for Zack, but Cloud and Tifa go together perfectly.
This is arguably the climax of the game, but I’m curious how the Re Trilogy would take things even further to make it the scene that caps off Cloud and Tifa’s romance arc now with Rebirth’s establishment of Tifa and Cloud being developed as the main romance of the trilogy. Really hope they pull this off and express their feelings to each other in a way that OG wasn’t able to do with the limited technology, music and writing for the time.
They will. The fact that all of the lead developers on the Remake project (Nojima, Nomura, Hamaguchi, Uematsu) have all stated that their personal favorite moment in all of FF7 was this exact sequence. Seeing what they did with Tifa in Gonagaga with Rebirth, I have full faith in them that they’ll recreate this experience with an even deeper and more emotional impact. Remember, in the OG, Cloud accepts Aerith’s death when it happens. He doesn’t in Rebirth…
"So you really did come when I was in trouble!" Probably in my top 5 moments of this perfect game and story. I also get teary-eyed each time at 27:20 when the music kicks in. Feels like everything in the story was leading to this revelation. The "me" who played this in 1997 when I was ~13 years old was going through a lot of crap at that time... characters like Batman and Cloud always inspired me to remain pure/good at heart.
Adding a note to this several years later after MaxDood pointed it out. The background in this does have a tear similar to the alternate universe in Rebirth. Wow. Not sure what to think of that.
Biggs: "You don't have to be a Soldier to make a difference" Cloud proved that time and time again. If only he knew he'd become a hero even without needing the power of Soldier
Skullof Rebellion well, he does actually have power of Soldier, i mean he can hold Sephiroth’s katana when he’s stabbed and throw Sephiroth off to the Mako. Also, he did get injected by Jenova’s cell after the Nibleheim tragedy, which is what makes Soldiers stronger. So, he does have the power of a Soldier, he just never admitted to the organization. He would’ve officially become a Soldier if Zack never wake up and saved him from Hojo’s experiment.
@@AtriasNaradan He didn't have the power of soldier when he picked up Sephiroth and threw him into the lifestream in Nibelheim. He was a regular infantry man who raised to the occasion to save the day. That's really what I meant
Skullof Rebellion he was a regular infantryman, but he does turned out to have the required power to become a Soldier. That’s kinda the point of the Sephiroth throwing scene, even Sephiroth says “impossible” when Cloud lift him up by the Katana...Sephiroth was surprised because he never tought that Cloud to be that strong, because that’s the kind of strength that usually get someone admitted to become a Soldier. You don’t think that Soldiers are weak before getting injected by Mako energy right? They’re all have above average potential, that’s why they’re chosen to become Soldiers. Even after that scene, it proves further that Cloud was actually have the potential to be a Soldier, when Hojo pick him to received Jenova cell. That’s pretty much saying that Hojo wants to make Cloud a first class Soldier candidate, that can replaced Genesis and Sephiroth.
Skullof Rebellion also, your original post was obviously talking about the FF7 timeline Cloud, not the Crisis Core one. FF7 timeline Cloud is one that already got injected by Jenova cell...his achievements doesn’t fit to be the proof of what Biggs says, that you don’t have to be a Soldier to make a difference...because while Cloud is not a Soldier, he got the power of one.
"That means he ain't no different from before!" Barrett words are simple but carry a great wisdom. We are all masters of our own illusionary world, we create so much problems to ourselves and we can understand it and fight hard to acquire the awareness necessary to see the illusion, only to discover that we "were no different". We are always the same.
dude... this is powerful. and yes, i create an illusionary world with problems created by myself on a daily basis. so i know what you are talking about.... it's also why ff7 is so dear to my heart now. it's unbelievable, but i actually only recently got into it. i missed out on a lot back then, never actually playing this game! crazy, but nowadays, i think so much about the depth of this story and the characters, specifically cloud, because i relate to him so much, even when i never faced such trauma, i can just identify with his character in itself. we all need healing... God bless you!!
This video left out an important cutscene, that Tifa told everyone she doesn't care anything except Cloud, she won't participate the World-saving mission from this point, and since the world is ending, she will spend the rest of her time caring Cloud. This statement actually hit me pretty hard back then, showing how deep Tifa loves Cloud. You can't see this in the early parts of the game.
That will propably became Barret's or Cid's line in the remake. I wouldn't put it past Yuffie either but it has to someone else than Tifa. It has a weirdly slapsticky tone to it.
I just find it lovely but sad that Cloud original wish was to get Tifa to notice him without him realizing that Tifa had always noticed him and even thought he was cute. Heck, she even starts reading newspaper just to look up any news about him, that's not something a girl who doesn't notice you would do.

It’s also crazy that if their mothers were friends the type of girl Claudia suggested for Cloud was Aerith not Tifa and that speaks volumes lol
31:36 This is probably my favorite moment in the game. Cloud's mental projections rise as one, showing he's finally whole again. He's made peace with his past and present, and is ready for his future: kicking Sephiroth square in the pockets.

@@demonking86420 Crisis Core was never that good a game. It reasons many story elements from the original FF7. Then you have Genesis who is one of the most non-essential characters in the entirety of the FFVII compilation modelled after a J-pop artist Gackt. Aerith knew that something was not right about Cloud. She knew that the Cloud she was with was not the real Cloud and their date at the Gold Saucer proves this, when she says she wants to meet the "real you".
I’m really intrigued to see how this scene is remade in the remake series, it’s a really powerful scene and it shows how much Cloud truly means to Tifa while getting his memories back.
True. Part of what makes Cloud so great as a hero is that he is a flawed human being. With everything from, trauma, personality, to even dare I say physical problems at one point and just like a real living soldier he copes with these things best he can. Sometimes failing, but with help from others and that instinct to live, he manages to pull through. He might have some Post Stress Disorder, hell multiple disorders definitely depression, but that only makes him more amazing because: it's a real reaction. Ff7 is successful because it has a lot of real dark human truths, many of us can understand or have felt. Like Loss.Yet Cloud and Tifa show us, that we can through perseverance endure and rebuild. We can live on.
Avery Kane This scene is the main reason why Cloud is a better character than Zach despite many fanboys lauding over Zach as the superior protagonist. Zach is a Gary Sue who barely has any faults, while Cloud is a flawed and weak character initially who finally finds his footing. Much more dynamic by comparison.
@@SouljaStrife 11 Months old comment so maybe he won't respond, but I'll say that while Crisis Core had some major faults with its writing (The horrible antagonist given to Zack and the retconning of certain events), I think the biggest missed opportunity was not displaying how flawed Zack's optimistic outlook and idealism really was. He could've been played up as someone that really believed in Shinra propaganda, committing morally grey actions that he'd have difficulties trying to justify throughout the game until the final straw at Nibelheim. His final stand should not have had him look upon SOLDIER with any sort of reverence, and a line like "Defend your honor as SOLDIER" rung hollow when you consider just how much crap he's seen and dealt with regarding both Shinra and SOLDIER alike up to that point.
Just to protect Tifa , he wants to be a Soldier .. A very touching reason and makes me melt .. 😍😭 A truly touching love story .. They must end up happy in the remake version .. True Love, Cloud x Tifa
Fun fact: Zack was originally intended to be the main character. Cloud and everything he brings with him to the story was all a last minute change. Just like Zero in Megaman; Capcom played it safe instead of following their passion (a red bomber)
Scenes like this make the relationship with Aerith seem so... surface level. Tifa was a girl he shared a childhood with, someone he fought to protect, somebody whose life was intertwined in his on a very deep level. Aerith was a flower girl he thought was cute she to her he looked like her old boyfriend.
Well it was confirmed by the creators that Aerith did grow attracted to the real Cloud that she could see within and (somehow) became more attracted to him than she was to Zack. Though on the rest I agree. This scene and the events that lead up to it just instantly made me love Tifa. Believing in Cloud even when everyone else thought he was a traitor, staying behind to be at his bedside and nurse him back to health, helping him rebuild his fragmented mind....I know that Cloud's mom wanted him to have an older girlfriend that would take care of him and Tifa might not be older, but she DEFINITELY fulfills the far more important taking care of him requirement. Holy shit, Cloud....dude....what are you waiting for? Get this woman a ring now you fool!
Yeah it seems so. Actually, this scene made sense to what Aerith told Cloud during the date scene. During that time, he still playroled as Zack, hence why she saw Zack in him... But she realized she wasn't Zack, and wanted to know Cloud. ("I want to know... You" so that You is revealed to be the real Cloud)
@Priskila Rossy Ratnasari It goes deeper than just attraction unfortunately. Apparently in one of the expanded universe novels that takes place before Advent Children, I think it was Maiden who travels the planet but I'm not 100% on that, Zack meets Aerith again in the Lifestream and tries to start again with her, but Aerith isn't having any of it. She says that she and Zack could never be in a serious relationship because of his womanizing habits. (Zack was described by Aerith as a lady's man/playboy in the original game) She basically tells him that he's not long term relationship material and that she prefers the shy and honest type like Cloud. So really no matter who Cloud chooses (I always choose Tifa because...again...after disc 2 how could I not?) Zack is shit out of luck because Aerith has put him securely in the friendzone. His only option is to wait around and hope that Aerith eventually warms up to him again. That's essentially what he's doing in Advent Children, sticking to her like glue and trying to win her over so that she'll give him a second chance. His prospects aren't looking good. I'm hoping the remake gives us the option to change this, because honestly Zack deserves more credit than that.
@Priskila Rossy Ratnasari Oh I completely agree. From what I've read, the writers basically wrote the love triangle so that the player ultimately decides who Cloud loves in the end. So if the person playing decides he loves Tifa, then he loves Tifa. If the person playing decides that he loves Aerith, then he loves Aerith. For those who do ship Cloud and Aerith together, it's implied that Cloud and Aerith have a spiritual connection that they can use to see each other whenever they want and that Cloud will be reunited with her when he joins the lifestream and finds her in the promised land after death. Personally I never liked Cloud and Aerith as a couple because I just find the idea of two lovers waiting to be reunited in death incredibly depressing. Plus like you said, Tifa did so much for Cloud by the end of the game and their relationship felt so strong to me. So I've always thought of them as a couple by the end of the game. The both of them deserve some happiness after all of the shit they've been through. Still though, while Cloud's feelings are up to the player to decide, the feelings of the two girls aren't so up in the air. Both Tifa and Aerith are completely in love with Cloud. This unfortunately means that poor Zack is left hanging. He gets to travel the lifestream with the girl he likes, but also knows that same girl would rather be with his best friend...Poor guy can't catch a break.
@Priskila Rossy Ratnasari Yeah Cloud shares a spiritual connection with both Zack and Aerith. I'm pretty sure Square intentionally wrote this in so that people could interpret the connection in different ways depending on how they viewed the character relationships. Square always does that when it comes to the couples in VII, giving some hints to each one without ever fully committing to either. Like they'll say Cloud wants to meet Aerith in the promised land, but they never say why and it's up to us to decide why he would want to see her again. For some people the answer is simply that he loves her and wants to be with her. I always saw it as Cloud wanting to see her again simply to make sure she was okay and to ask her forgiveness for failing to save her. Square did also have Tifa and Cloud living together after the game, but they never actually confirm whether or not they're a couple and it's left to us to decide what their relationship really is. That's the thing with VII's love triangle. We'll never get a straight answer as to which pairing is canon because both of them can be canon. It's just up to each player to decide which pairing they prefer. You don't have to apologize for the whole Zerith thing. I actually agree with you and like Zack and Aerith as a couple too. Unfortunately though it seems like Aerith won't return his feelings. Square has decided that she has to be kept available for anyone who would choose to ship her with Cloud and that means poor Zack is out of luck.
They have remained faithful to the original so far with Remake and Rebirth, minus a few additions and deeper story lore. No doubt this will be on there. Don’t forget, Cloud got a vision of himself on a black robe in Rebirth. Plus SPOILER What Cloud sees in the sky at the end of Rebirth is eerily similar to the starry white background in this sequence
the only way Tifa found out about Cloud's love for her was to dive into his mental state. the reason he wanted to join SOLDIER the reason he wanted to be noticed why Cloud wants to be a hero it was all for her in the end.
Tifa talking to Leslie then glancing at cloud: “We’ll meet again. It’s a symbol of reunion” Cloud to Tifa in the lifestream after Tifa repairs his mind: “ Yeah...Tifa... We finally meet again...” the foreshadowing in FF7R is great. I can’t wait for the lifestream sequence!!!!

I don’t know, there’s cases to be made for both women. But honestly this whole love triangle is so ambiguous it’s truly frustrating. Aerith seems to like Cloud, but she’s in the Lifestream with Zack. Tifa seems to like Cloud, but they don’t sleep in the same bed, and at times acts like a mother to him. Hopefully the remake makes it clearer on what they all feel for one another.
Cloud is broken man indeed. But it made him relatable to us. He lived someone elses life, because he always feel lack of himself. This scene is so important as a turning point when we finally meet the real Cloud. I can't wait the remake version of this.
Yes I agree, although I connected to Cloud, I was furious when they accused Cloud of a crime he didn't commit. The village and Tifa's father believed he lured Tifa and the kids to hike up a dangerous hill when it was Tifa's own recklessness that put her in a 7 day coma and she didn't have the heart to tell the truth and so everyone believed a lie. I was also angry that the kids alienated Cloud especially Tifa who gave him the cold shoulders and she went along with it. I get they were childhood friends but not very close. As a result Cloud feeling useless for not saving Tifa, he started acting all Bravado, picked fights, dreamed of becoming a SOLDIER to try and impress Tifa, and acting as a cold person. I EXPECTED TIFA OUT OF ANYONE TO TELL THE TRUTH BUT DUE TO HER SHYNESS WAS PART OF THE REASON CLOUD BECAME INDIFFERENT TO EVERYONE AROUND HIM, PEOPLE WERE NO DIFFERENT THAN TIFA OR THE VILLAGE OVER TREATMENT.Finally, although it seems cruel it seems justifiable for the way he behaved by his childhood upbringing, he also gets his revenge albeit regretfully when he guarded Sephiroth when he tours the village 2 years later and then Sephiroth murdered everyone in the village including Tifa's father (minus Tifa) I hoped their cruelty was worth it knowing they died without ever knowing the real truth.
He's not broken at all, you can blame Hojo for everything done to cloud mind. Mako poisoning and Jenova cells aren't good for the body or mind. He's lucky to be alive to be honest. Cloud in shinra was pretty sweet guy with nice personality. You can see him in crisis core.
@@TehReasoning he's definitely has issues pertain with his own psychology, he felt inferior (always not good enough to deserve happiness or to win notice), when the pressure he put on himself became too much, he would have mental break down and need his family and friends to pieces him whole again. Jenova cell and mako poisoning made his bad side more apparent, imho. On Crisis Core he was still young, just joined SOLDIER, but the purpose of it was stemming from his need to prove himself to Tifa, if he's strong enough he wished Tifa to notice him. We also remember he can't socialize with kids of his age on his village, he felt 'different'. Thus combined with other personas (through Jenova cell and mako poisoning) he became more not of himself/corrupted. After he regained himself thou, we finally find his good side; which are loyal, helpful, collected, determined, and so on. Still when his bad side triggered and got the best of him, he will again facing mental breakdown like what happened to him after the meteor, before Advent Children.
@@jasonle9596 Thank you. I really never understood why people would romanticize child Cloud's love for Tifa as being beautiful when in fact it was born out of isolation, guilt and a superficial belief of superiority. And after he regains back his memories, present Cloud is supposed to take child Cloud's love as real? It boggles the mind that people just believe this. I'm just stunned. That is just dark. Is Cloud some-kind of masochist? I appreciate that Tifa journeyed through the lifestream to help Cloud find his memories back, but I always wondered why now after Cloud has become so broken with not just lost memories but doubts because of Sephiroth telling him he nothing but a clone. Why wait until the last moment when there was no other options left? I never understood this. Cloud went through so much torment... In the first place, it was Tifa's fantasies that the mako emulated which is the reason Cloud created a separate persona, he used Zack as base, because that seems to be what Tifa fantasizes about... and that's supposed to be touching... I really can't relate.
20:28 when I played this game for the first time last year, it's at that moment that my heart sank and made me see why many people hold this game close to them. It was one of those games that had managed to elicit emotion out of me on the first time. I'm looking forward to this scene in the remake
I fell in love when I was doing the crossdressing quest. This scene is my favorite in the entire game, even slightly edging out Aerith's finale and Sephiroth debuting in the pink swirly clouds as you hear One Winged Angel.
My favorite scene/section from the OG game... they really masterfully handled Cloud's trauma/PTSD and subsequent mental breakdown. It was a genius move to allow Tifa to enter his subconciouness through the Lifestream and allowing them to fix his psyche together. I REALLY hope the third game can nail this scene. I cannot wait.
Same here. Cody Christian & Britt Baron are gonna put on the most emotional and intimate moments in the conclusion. It's gonna be worth the wait 3 to 4 years from now.
The theory going around is that Sephirtoth’s “blessing” that he gave to Cloud is the ability to perceive multiple realities, which explains why Cloud sees the rift but no one else can. That, our Cloud’s mental health is supremely fucked. Far worse than the OG
Why I love Tifa and why she is so very important to this story. I understand the role Aerith plays, but Tifa's connection goes way deeper than that. She knows the truth and experienced it firsthand. Cloud is someone she wanted to protect, while also trying to figure out her own emotions. Such a great character and this gave her some much needed character development.
I think for Rebirth II, Aerith will play role in how they get to this moment. She's searching for the real Cloud and can't find him. That's because Tifa is the only one who can find him.
@@wholesome_masochist4113that was the point lol expanding the world of FF7 via a remake and FF7R is not "meh" its amazing i replayed it still the most polished FF game in the last 20 years
I can't wait to see this scene in HD. Since I finished the FFVII remake I'm looking forward to another remake of this. I really really like how tifa and cloud are inloved with each other
Zexion Steins English isn’t my first language too haha, I meant that, if anyone Cloud should be risking his life for, its Tifa, like how he has done when he was a child...
Some of my favourite moments from the story: 1. Flashback sequence in Kalm where we first learn of Sephiroth. 2. When we enter the crater for the first time and Sephiroth explains how Clouds' memories are a lie. 3. This sequence where Tifa dives into Cloud's mind and helps bring his mind and soul back.
I still remember the first time playing this game in high school when this game came out, #2 really bugged me out because I felt REALLY bad for both Cloud and Tifa. Tifa's odd choices of words whenever Cloud brings up the past starting to make sense and Cloud completely loses his mind, and poor Tifa just collapses in defeat. In my head I could just imagine Tifa crying the entire time feeling like she lost Cloud forever. I can't wait how they pan this out in future installments of the Remake.
coming here after rebirth to say i can’t wait for this to show up in the third installment. SPOILERS!! - - - - - but when tifa fell into the lifestream in gongaga, i just felt a wave of emotions. seeing how it looked.. almost identical to this sequence. it was beautiful and an amazing way to foreshadow this scene and how mentally strong tifa is to even go through this. really hope they don’t mess it up and stay true to this version
Great video my friend! Tifa is a strong and unique character who is integral to Cloud and the story of FF 7. She is brave, motherly, encouraging to her friends, and willing to risk everything for them. Cloud and Tifa aka the CloTi ship is the fulfillment of a promise. That Cloud would always be there if Tifa was ever in trouble. That her Hero would come to her rescue! This couple is Canon as made evident by the later events of Final Fantasy VII. And made even clearer by the events of Advent Children. Before Advent Children Barret officially entrusted Tifa and Cloud to raise Marlene, who was the orphan girl he rescued and looked after until he found her a proper home. In Advent Children the Strife family (Cloud, Tifa, Denzel, and Marlene) were living together but when Cloud was infected with the Geostigma, he left thinking he was going to die. Desperately seeking a cure for all others infected, including himself. Cloud pushed everyone away to in his eyes, cause everyone less pain. Once cured of the Stigma however he goes back to living with Tifa, and raising their adopted children Denzel and Marlene together. Even later by the events of Dirge of Cerberus Cloud and Tifa are still living together. CloTi is canon! Cloud always had feelings for Tifa and they were longtime childhood friends together. The local boys always followed Tifa around everywhere but Tifa always liked Cloud. When he was leaving he boldly stated to her he was going to join SOLDIER. He did this as a way to make her notice him more. Cloud was trying to impress Tifa, his childhood love. She then made him promise to be her Hero. To come to her rescue if she was ever in trouble. And Cloud did fulfill his promise to her when he showed up during the Nibelheim incident. He also continued this promise by helping Tifa whenever he got the chance throughout the story of FF7. From joining Avalanche because Tifa was fighting Shinra, to rescuing her in Don Corneo's mansion while she was on a spy mission to learn what the Don knew about Shinra's plans, but luckily Cloud saved her from having to persuade the information out of him. Years later when Cloud has his mental breakdown, it was Tifa who tirelessly cared for him. Her love for him is endless. Together Cloud and Tifa end up traveling through Cloud's memories to piece together Cloud's true past. It was Tifa who helped Cloud come to terms with his identity, see through the lies Sephiroth told him, and regain his hope for the future. And she helped him get his sanity back too! Without Tifa's help, Cloud would never have fixed his broken mind, and so lead the party to stop Sephiroth. Eventually Sephiroth is summoning Meteor with the Black Materia. Cloud suggests their group disbands and has everyone decide for themselves what they wish to do. That night Cloud and Tifa spend time alone together under the Highwind. Cloud smiles and states he knows he can do anything, because he has Tifa by his side! They share a close romantic conversation, and then spend the night under the stars together. It's very clear that they professed their love to each other, and slept together that night under the Highwind. From this point on they lived together as lovers. Cloud and Tifa are a canon couple of the Final Fantasy 7 universe just like Zack and Aerith. NOTE: To anyone who doubts whether CloTi is canon... The night under the Highwind happens regardless of who the player chooses to date. Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus prove Cloud and Tifa are a couple. The FF 7 Ultimania states CloTi is canon. This article pulls examples from the game and the FF 7 Ultimania showing all the canon evidence and official statements proving Cloud and Tifa are canon. worldofcloti.tumblr.com/post/45405555997/cloud-and-tifas-relationship-as-told-by-official

@@blaiseofficial9055 i think zacks dead, and that was another timeline. sort of a 'what could have been' if the dementors didn't exist or were defeated before that. look at the picture of the dog in the flashback, the dog looks totally different from how it does in the rest of the game (different breed etc). and they used pictures of that dog in like 2 or 3 chapters as visual cues for where you were supposed to go, so it's definitely meant to trigger something in the viewer and serve a purpose hinting at something. i dunno what else it could be but 'this is an AU.' i guess we'll have to wait for the first previews of part 2...
@@grandpathong Maybe Sephiroth will kill the two of them right in front of Cloud? Maybe the Final boss will be Jenova herself, not through Sephiroth or an illusion, but herself. Maybe this Destiny's modification will give a happy ending for everyone (even Aerith and Zack), maybe it will clarify some fans old questions... Let us wait for the meteor to fall down and show us its blazing vision. That didn't make any sense, but I wanted to try something.
He's alive (sort of) but not in Remake or OG's timeline. Also Kitase said that there won't be any drastic changes to the story and it will be still ff7 that we've loved. And no, Tifa won't die *Smells Clerith fans in the air*. Everything is in Remake's Ultimania, which is true because there are interviews with Nojima, Kitase and Nomura. Also yes they are pushing and will be more Cloud and Tifa scenes according to Nojima and Nomura
Love the reason that Sephiroth is so obsessed with Cloud is that a total nobody yeeted his ego-tripping ass into a hole. If he accepts that Cloud is Just A Guy that means Sephiroth isn't some dark messiah God. It's like if the antichrist got run over by a janitor's car. In the original FF7 didn't have Tifa. Only when decided to replace barret's death for Aerith is when the developers decided to create another female lead. She was the last character created.
@@LCardosed92 true. But Aerith was created to be looking like Tifa first but it got rejected. Tifa was then created separately to be the perfect woman for Cloud.
@@kaage8780 It is the opposite. Aerith was supposed to be the perfect girl for Cloud. Cait sith predicted they would be a perfect match and even Cloud's mom told him the type of Aerith was going to be the ideal type for Cloud.
I love how Cloud and Tifa are in the life stream for a while and Tifa is in Cloud's subconscious recovering his mind and real memories till all their friends save them and they regain consciousness
Its always been cloti, the whole reason cloud joines shinra was to impress tifa. In crisis core we learned that zacks memories were mixed with clouds, hence why cloud thought he was in soldier.
You can already see the direction they're going in the Remake, how they're going to develop things. Tifa, who cares so much about other people, who even cares about saving Shinra employees, is going to have this moment when she says "I care about nothing else, only Cloud," because that's how much things are going to develop.
i agree..they show how much tifa cares about others, but also how much undercurrent she has towards cloud even in the early stages and her complex emotions when dealing with her hatred and PTSD toward shinra while also wanting nothing more than just to live a normal life with cloud. Its hard to overstate just how emotionally crippling the events coming up are going to be with aerith dying, cloud's mental state breaking from sephiroth and the black materia, and tifa not really having any real sense of place without cloud due to all of the stress
I dont see this dialogue. I care about nothing else, only Cloud. Where? Anyway, after she survived from lifestream and opened her eye. "Cloud where is he?" The first thing in her mind not herself but Cloud. 😍 Cloud you are so idiot. I am mad at you on FF-AC.😡 You does not take care her well. Dont be so emo. Tifa lost almost everything same as you Cloud but she has to be strong for you. She is always be there for you. Cloud You gonna do better this time in FF7R.👊 Dont make me hate you.
@@supaporntan2548 It's cut out from this vidoe, but at 3:38, it shows the rest of the party is talking with the Doctor, and then Tifa steps out as well and says the following: Tifa Yes...... 6:55 the only thing they can add to this scene to make it more perfect as they fall into the life stream in the remake trilogy is to have Tifa embrace Cloud as they fall together with her telling him that she’s so sorry for everything
I need to be alive to see the continuation of rebirth and see how this scene will be portrayed, I've never been as excited for the end of a video game "saga" as I am now
Child tifa - I'd like experience a hero saving me when I'm truly in trouble. so promise if you become a soldier youll come and save me if I'm ever in danger. Adult - tifa watches as she discovered cloud came to her rescue and defeated sephiroth. While she was unconscious.
See, this playthrough alone shows that Aerith wasn’t the one who always stayed by Cloud’s side and helped him recover and regain his true self. It was Tifa and Tifa only who stayed with Cloud and helped him at his worst.
Agreed, although Aerith couldn’t help him like Tifa even if she wanted to, as she never knew the full story of Nibelheim. It’s kind of mentioned if you have her as your date at the gold saucer, but she can tell that the Cloud she knows isn’t really Cloud, and she wants to know the real him... but can’t.
@@tp6822 Cloud’s memory of his past is incredibly important in the game whether Aerith dies or not, as it’s the leverage Sephiroth has to use Cloud for his plans. Cloud’s confused remembrance of his past allows him to be tricked into believing he’s a Sephiroth clone, causing the black materia to be given to him and used to summon meteor. To be able to actually fight back against Sephiroth without falling victim to manipulation, he had to know his past, and Tifa is the only character capable of giving him that truth.
While I totally agree with what you say, I have always seen Aerith as some kind of Guardian Angel for the party. But yes, Tifa was the person that Cloud needed the most in that moment, and Cloud's real motivation.
Discovering he wasn’t just one of Sephiroth’s black cloak reunion flunkies and his SOLDIER first class story was a coping mechanism for loss of a friend, we were all so collectively proud of Cloud for finding his true self. Before the long sequence of events leading to memory loss, he was someone with his own motivations, accomplishments, and attachment to people and places. Even if he was ashamed to admit he didn’t make the cut when he returned to Nibelheim, he was still somebody that was known and remembered. Being the “grunt” who bested Sephiroth right under everyone’s nose, with no one else to witness the feat should always stay with him - not because of any destined rivalry, but for the fact he was impassioned by this terror on his hometown and keeping his word to Tifa. Remember what’s most important here is that he pulled through his mental anguish with the force of Tifa’s determination.
33:00-33:10 I can already picture this in my head in the remake series. Tifa begins sobbing with joy that Cloud has finally returned and embraces him 🥹
THIS sequence is about to become the magnum opus of the ff7 remake saga. Came here to remind myself what to look forward to. The most pivotal and important scene of the entire game ❤
I love how you don't need cinematic cutscenes with dramatic ass j-pop songs to tell a story. look at this, so powerful and shocking (the first time) you see it that it stands above all else FF fancy cutscenes that came up afterwards.
Yeah when Final Fantasy started embracing cheesy Japanese trends, it took a nose-dive. I'll be honest, I was never a fan of FF7. Still not. But it only goes downhill from here (with FF9 being the exception). The franchise was always best in the hands of Sakaguchi, because for better or worse, he was always wiling to take risks in the name of art. Sometimes it didn't pan out, and he had his fair share of flops, but he was willing to go the distance to get his vision out; and when it worked, you got memorable games that set the trends instead of riding them toward an easy paycheck. Hell, half his best games came when the company was pressed against a wall financially and Sakaguchi just decided to take a leap of faith. Now SE's a megalith that pumps out the most generic, boring, - and safe - shite you could imagine, a far fall from grace from where it was. At this point, I think the franchise just needs to be put to bed. None of the original developers that really made this series are with it anymore and "Final Fantasy" needs to end so newer, better games may be born.
"People have so many things pen up inside of themself. And they can forget many things." -Tifa This is my favorite part of FF7 and all FF series. I love it. It is so lovely. Tifa honestly taking care of ☁ Cloud. ❤ She was a natural loving therapist to him and did not gave up on Cloud like others did. Just the best.
Tifa did really love Cloud truelly. She never bully him. At first as kids they where not so close. It seem Tifa had not notice him by that time where she had her gang of male admires and had her personal problems. It was mention that Tifa's mother died and she was a kid. So she was not emotionally well. Cloud's perspective as them as kids was that Tifa did not let him in the group but he didn't explain if this means she ignore him or she let the other male admires gang control the group dynamic of not letting him in the group with Tifa. This affected Cloud a lot. But Cloud still work his way to be notice by her by showing his bravery to be with her and his promise to be 💪 stronger and return to protect her. This promise happend because Tifa did accepted Cloud's invitation to go on the well with him and only them. The game don't give information that Tifa was a fan of Sephiroth as a kid. Cloud was the one that hear of Sephiroth and was who admire him and wanted to be like him. Then after the game show Tifa missing and waiting for Cloud to return. She even mention she constantly ask herself how was him and look on the news to constantly to know about it. Thisbdemosttate her felling and compromise to know of Cloud. Later on Tifa recognize him on the street / Train Station on Midgar etc when Cloud was just totally unconscious and is inferred that she took him to her place and was who offer him the mission of Avalanche. Later she loyally follow him and even avoided to argue with him about the events Cloud mention to had happend in cosideration of Cloud well-being. Then she did not gave up on him. Even seeing how ustable, fragile and problematic Cloud was by his mental problem. She really stayed. Is a love that had grow evolve to have all elements of cosume 💘. On the game she show it and the squaresoft staff confirm that there love between Tifa and Cloud (both ways). Same gose with Cloud and Aerith. They did love each other too but it is a difrent love and one that by circumstances they could not be together in life anymore. We all miss lovely Aerith.
the music rising at 29:07, Tifa going "you came, you kept your promise" at 29:14 🤌 there is no way for any sane person to actually play this game and act like it's anything other than a love story between Cloud and Tifa. you have to either be someone who's never played the game and only looks at fanart of the characters, or someone whose got several screws loose in order to think otherwise.
@@MMuraseofSandvich Hi there haha. I played rebirth too and I don't have doubt anymore. They dared to show us very creepy stuff in rebirth. So Im confident they will not shy away Cloud trauma.
@@genevievelaplace7301I would argue Cloud is in an even WORSE state of affairs after Rebirth than he was in the OG. Not just because of him suppressing his memories, but also him refusing to accept Aerith is gone. I’m willing to bet they will add a new section to the life stream sequence that deals with the events of the Forgotten Capital. And they will show us everything we saw in the OG and Advent Children that we didn’t get to see in Rebirth: Laying her body to rest, and the party mourning her loss
For FF7 Remake Part 3, I need them to keep this EXACTLY the way it is + a little more emotion & romantic gestures to portray how deep this is, but in general I need them to not try to ppl please and being back Aer bc it really IS a crucial part to the story of her being in the lifestream & becoming “Mommy” as we see in AC. She is the one who brings the holy water to save the world and ppl from the geostigma and ultimately helps the team as with her Cetra powers. It plays a crucial role in Cloud’s concious & him feeling guilty for all the friends he “couldn’t protect” & beating up himself for it too. I hope they don’t rush it too much, because this clip alone is already about 30 minutes to the game. Tifa will def probably be the playable character in this scene tho!
You asked to keep this exactly as it is but then also ask to add more romantic gesture, you contradict yourself in one single breath. Also this scene is about Cloud accepting himself, this is not a "romantic" cloti moment, this scene is misinterpreted so many times by cloti it lost it true meaning.
@@fadlanfadilah1171never said it was a 100% cloti moment, as I explained above on how it plays a crucial role in his guilt and concious…but you also misinterpreted my comment saying I contradicted myself when what I meant is that they better keep the scene as the way it is and not shorten things, leaving crucial moments out. Then I said adding the romantic gesture would (which would be up to Nojima) because I feel like this is a step forward in their relationship, right after what had happened in Rebirth.
This part of the game is so adorable and shows how much Tifa loves Cloud by sticking by him at his worst and helping him remember who he truly is. This may be my favorite part of the game.
It will, and I argue the stakes are now even higher than before. SPOILERS This sequence will for sure be in part 3, but guess what? There will be an additional section: Cloud learning the truth of what happened at the Forgotten Capital - the truth regarding Aerith
i really wonder how theyre gonna do this in the remake, its obviously such an important scene as cloud finds his true self again. i doubt theyre gonna make it this long in the remake, i find that kind of sad cause i really love this scene, it shows how much cloud and tifa mean to each other and it really explains their whole backstory
I'm thinking they'll make this an entire chapter in future installments. Look how long they stretched out just Midgar in the Remake... in the original FF7 I spent maybe 8 hours tops in Midgar, and the Remake took me 50+ hours to beat. I can see SE taking the 3 paths Tifa chooses as 3 mini-quests in order to progress to where Cloud finally shows her the real events of the reactor scene.
@@FungusUSMC ohh that's interesting, I've never played the original game, only watched my brother play. I think if they do it that way it would be really good, a whole chapter would be nice since I'd like for this scene to get as much focus on as possible in the remake :0
Can't wait to see how Cody and Britt (as well as actors of Cloud and Tifa's child versions) will tackle this particular scene when the Remake series finally get to this point of the original game.
Imagine this in the next chapters of ff7 remake that would coming soon...it would be one of the emotional parts in the game. I agree Tifa is meant to be with Cloud, they're always there for each other.after he left Nibelheim, he's obsessed with trying to make himself stronger. Its crazy how there were mixed emotions when they're together again in the past and present. Where Cloud's affection towards Tifa when they were young. and Tifa's affection towards him now were switched. Cloud eventually catches on to her emotions in the later parts of the game.
I hope they nail this scene in the remake series. This is the most important part of this story. Cloud's mind becomes...Less cloudy

That's not his mind. Tifa had the same traumas at the same time and did not build fake memories. The Mako did it.

I found how he/she behaved and said BS theories and insulting other users so rude i had to use the Will Smith "im sorry I am alergic to bullshit" and then had the balls to call me stupid while his shouting nonsense, insulting others and completely denying some cons of Cloud and Aerith? i feel as of late some people are super salty.
How am i supposed to belief Cloud and Tifa are brother and sister after having a tender moment like this? Like, when or when do siblings ever talk and communicate like this? Seriously, Tifa is way into Cloud, she is just not so open about it.
When people think of FF7, they usually think of Aerith's death. But for me, this right here is one of the single greatest scenes in video games.
I would say vincent xD
True Love ❤️
Wow,well said
Great analysis 👍
And for all that, the best moment if Tifa is when she slaps the crap out of Scarlett.

Not the climax of the game, but certainly the a0ex of Clouds character development.
"So you really did come when I was in trouble!"
Probably in my top 5 moments of this perfect game and story.
Can’t wait to see that part in remake eventually 😢
@@skullofrebellion6653 As someone else put it: "He had the mother of all adrenaline rushes."
"That means he ain't no different from before!"
Barrett words are simple but carry a great wisdom.
That moment is so great
"You're sure messed up, Cloud!"

I’m really intrigued to see how this scene is remade in the remake series, it’s a really powerful scene and it shows how much Cloud truly means to Tifa while getting his memories back.
such an important but underrated scene.
This is easily the most emotional and best scene in the game.
Dude why do so many people say shit is underrated when it isnt?

@@LordMalice6d9 not to the people who never played the game
Well, trooper. Not soldier but yeah

Tifa talking to Leslie then glancing at cloud: “We’ll meet again. It’s a symbol of reunion”
Cloud to Tifa in the lifestream after Tifa repairs his mind: “ Yeah...Tifa... We finally meet again...” the foreshadowing in FF7R is great. I can’t wait for the lifestream sequence!!!!

@@hraberuka2847 What even makes you think this scene will even be recreated in the next "remake" installment When the truth about Cloud has already been spoiled to death, even to knew FF7 players?
@@hraberuka2847 I hope that the remake focuses a bit more on Cloud and Tifa's relationship from a romantic angle when appropriate. Because if you were to pick two people that are THE embodiment of the word "soulmates", it's probably Cloud and Tifa.
You see how much tifa loves cloud . Man tifa iss the best heroine for me
For many years, Tifa and Cloud who held love feelings with each other. Finally before the final battle with Sephiroth they finally confirmed the feelings they wanted each other.

Cloud and Tifa had both loves forever
We can assume they did it after Tisa said "Cloud... Words aren't the only thing that tell people what you're thinking..." right ? I can't wait to see this moment in the remake, but problably not until at least a third game.
@Priskila Rossy Ratnasari They crossed the line in the game and did it at the end.
@Priskila Rossy Ratnasari This is what they said just before the nigh falls,
"Cloud: Hey Tifa...... I...... There are a lot of things I wanted to talk to you about. But now that we're together like this, I don't know what I really wanted to say... I guess nothing's changed at all... Kind of makes you want to laugh...
Tifa: Cloud... Words aren't the only thing that tell people what you're thinking...
"
After this there is even another hint from Cid who's making fun of them saying that he saw them from the Highwind with Barret and Red. On what Tifa puts herself in a corner kneeling and her head in her hands embarrassed as never. ^^
@Priskila Rossy Ratnasari I think this scene will be even more suggestive in the remake
Highwind scene canon.
Cloud and Tifa are a real couple, there is plenty of small things that proves that.
Aerith is dead and she is with Zack.
Cloud lives his life happy with Tifa in the end of AC.
Moon Door Agree Zack and Aerith are like parents guidance ,quality life lesson and inspiration from both. Zack tell Cloud that he is his living Legacy of "freedom" Aerith inspires him to fight furthur through love even both are already dead their efforts event effect cloud still.
Moon Door aerith also never lived the true Cloud, she never met him.
Nate W he never moved on. Tifa is his first love and only love.
Then both give birth to a kid named Noctis

My favorite scene/section from the OG game... they really masterfully handled Cloud's trauma/PTSD and subsequent mental breakdown. Same here. Cody Christian & Britt Baron are gonna put on the most emotional and intimate moments in the conclusion. It's gonna be worth the wait 3 to 4 years from now.
The background in the lifestream looks like the rift that you can see in the sky in Rebirth
I love this version the best, always will. But I won't lie when I say I'm excited to see how they do it in the remake.

1. Flashback sequence in Kalm where we first learn of Sephiroth.

I still remember the first time playing this game in high school when this game came out, #2 really bugged me out because I felt REALLY bad for both Cloud and Tifa.

Where?

Adult - tifa watches as she discovered cloud came to her rescue and defeated sephiroth. While she was unconscious.
See, this playthrough alone shows that Aerith wasn’t the one who always stayed by Cloud’s side and helped him recover and regain his true self. It was Tifa and Tifa only who stayed with Cloud and helped him at his worst.
To be fair Aerith was long gone when the events of Mideel happen
also the theory is the reason they survived the lifestream was that she was protecting them
Agreed, although Aerith couldn’t help him like Tifa even if she wanted to, as she never knew the full story of Nibelheim.

I love how you don't need cinematic cutscenes with dramatic ass j-pop songs to tell a story. look at this, so powerful and shocking (the first time) you see it that it stands above all else FF fancy cutscenes that came up afterwards.
And even surprisingly, it's done with INSANELY low poly models. Good job, Square.
I'm so used to these graphics that I don't even care about the remake anymore.
Yeah it's actually better than movie scenes
I know you didn’t just diss FFX
"People have so many things pen up inside of themself. And they can forget many things." -Tifa
This is my favorite part of FF7 and all FF series. I love it. It is so lovely. Tifa honestly taking care of ☁ Cloud. ❤ She was a natural loving therapist to him and did not gave up on Cloud like others did. Just the best.
She was bullying him, she's in love with him becquse he want to be like sephiroth, unlike aerith she's lived him becouse he's cloud

I hope they won't get rid of that in the remake after what we saw in the ending.
They foreshadowed it at the Corel reactor, so I think they're doing it.
@@dr.edwardrichtofen365 I sense that to. Lets hope the dev don't forget that.

This sequence better be amazing when it gets the HD treatment in the follow-up to Rebirth.
It will, and I argue the stakes are now even higher than before. SPOILERS
This sequence will for sure be in part 3, but guess what?
@hoho Play the original! You won’t regret it.
I play it and I cry a lot.
"People have so many tings pent up inside themselves... So many things they can never forget. Strange isn't it?" - This line always stuck with me.
Can't wait to see how Cody and Britt (as well as actors of Cloud and Tifa's child versions) will tackle this particular scene when the Remake series finally get to this point of the original game.
Coming here right after FF7: Rebirth, but mannn if Cloud doesn’t wife her up after all of this then I will!
I really hope we get a happy cloud x Tifa finale as it should be
This scene is what makes this game stand out for me.
Cloud never became the hero wanted to be but he was always the hero Tifa needed and to the rest of the world.
nomura and kitase: the lifestream sequence sticks out to us the most, it’s the emotional climax of the game ❤️🔥
Oh man I can hear it now. The sequences of his iconic "ugh... Uhuah... Ugh.. *chokes*"
Rofl
1:15 it’s the fact that the devs chose to play this song during their date in Rebirth that makes it even better 🥹
