Dude just tried this on the switch in 2024. Only had to reload once for the blue choco. You saved me so much time of watching animated chickens bang. Thank you!
Did you get your Gold Chocobo? Congrats if you did! Don't forget to check out my Twitch channel where I can sometimes be found live streaming Final Fantasy content during the week! ➤ www.twitch.tv/fuzzfinger
Hey Fuzz what’s happened to your walkthrough episodes for New Threat Mod 2.0. I can only get the 1st 2 episodes all the rest are gone. Any chance of a re-upload or link to them please. Love your content and recently subscribed through Twitch.
Thanks so much for this man. I originally played ff7 back in 1997 & for as much as I've played this over the last 25+ years, no joke, this is the very first time I've gotten a gold chocobo. Thanks for this awesome guide.
I've never bred Chocobos before this, but I'm glad this guide exists when we need it. Thank you Fuzz for the really careful and detailed Chocobo breeding guide!
Dude! Thank you! I was able to do it and now have knights of the round! You’re the man! This was very clear, easy, and encouraging! I imagine this must have taken you a while to come up with this route so thank you so much!
I did the whole thing back in the day with racing and relying on luck to get the proper Chocobos. It was fun to do back then but I don’t have that kind of time anymore. So I sincerely thank you for this guide!
@@LobsterFusion I didn't even know what I was doing back when I first played ff7... ended up with a gold chocobo out of shear dumb luck. I just thought the breeding and different colors were interesting.
Thanks so much. Other guides wanted me to go through what seemed like hours of gameplay for this . Did this in around 30 mins or less. Really appreciate your hard work.
Thank you for this video! I followed your steps carefully, and I got my Gold Chocobo! I was using the Steam version of the game with a ton of mods, and it still worked.
Love to see Final Fantasy VII still being played. Even though I'm on other games at the moment, I always enjoy watching your Final Fantasy videos. Keep the Final Fantasy content coming!
I used this method then bred the gold female and wonder male with the zeo after feeding the great female 3 k greens to get a male gold. I then bred the male gold and female gold with any nut other than the zeo to get a female gold. Rinse and repeat - I now have a stable full of 6 gold Chocobos 👌🏼👌🏼
Android version. Went through the steps exactly, including releasing all of the chocobos I already had. Worked like a charm. AMAZING!!! You are phenomenal sir.
Thank you so much! This was super easy and worked perfectly for me. Been doing a replay with a lot of the 7th Heaven mods you suggested a while back and been having loads of fun re-experiencing this lovely game in prep for the Rebirth release. Really appreciate this guide as I was really hoping to get certain things in endgame but didn't want to spend so much time with all the chocobo racing and whatnot. Thanks again!
I was losing my mind for near an hour (maybe more) to get the River Chocobo, i'm playing on PC with 7th Heaven Mod Manager with about 10 mods installed, turns out, one of my mods were screwing with the colors of the chocobos, causing them all to be yellow regardless of the actual color (which is weird because the colors are accurate for chocobo racing itself, just not my bred chocobos, which are all yellow regardless if it's a blue/green etc.), after shutting off all my mods, i got the gold within minutes! been subbed to your channel for YEARS since your FF12 videos, thanks a ton again for this one!
My bro!!! You saved me!!! I saw your comment and I was saved!!! 2 hours, I even went to release the wonderful and great chocobo cause I was going insane thinking I messed up from there. Can't believe it was the mod... Worked with the first try after that!
This was excellently done. I'll be following this on my next playthrough for sure. I wonder if there's a guide out therer for "doing everything as early as possible"
First found Fuzz yrs ago for FF 12. Best update on the dreaded Great Crystal. Am currently watching old FF7 100% and found this. Saved me some racing, but I still think I'm gonna watch you struggle through the Golden Saucer for fun. This just worked on Xbox One FYI. Thanks
Outstanding guide! I've used it twice without fail! Replaying the game in preparation for Rebirth. Last I checked this video was when I was replaying for Remake years back. Thank you so much!
I just finished crisis core going to beat ff7 again so that its all fresh when I play rebirth, was debating on playing remake but going with original game.
I have been trying on and off for DECADES to get a gold chocobo and with this wee video it was done in an evening. Thank you, you are a G of the highest order.
This is the second time I've played through the game, but the first time doing the chocobo breeding. On the PS2 with the Greatest Hits copy of the game, this guide worked like a charm! It's a lot easier to do this with visuals rather than reading a text guide to do this, so thank you for making this guide!
Back when FF7 came out on the PS1 I gave up trying to get the Gold Chocobo. Fast forward many years later and I was able to finally do it using this guide for the Nintendo Switch. Follow the guide exactly as the video describes and you can’t go wrong. No time to sit back and enjoy the long Knights of the Round summon 😂. Thanks for the video 👍🏻

The "Great" Chocobos are EASY to get it's the "Good" Chocobos that are HARD(There's ONLY ONE BATTLE in the GAME where you FIND them and it's in the "Gold Saucer Area"). The ONLY BATTLE that HAS the "Good" chocobos are the ones with "Spirals". For THIS REASON, it's a GOOD IDEA to FOCUS on ONE Chocobo TYPE AT A TIME and CATCH "4" of it, BEFORE going for the "Great" Chocobos which appear with "Spirals" by "Mideel".
This worked wonderfully. It's super easy to follow especially if it's the first time doing stuff with chocobos. If you're doing it to 100% the game and dont wanna spend too much time on chocobos just to get one trophy I definitely recommend this.
Man this was amazing. The stuff people come up with. I spent all the time scouring info from friend and using my school computer back in 98 or 99 trying to figure this stuff out and doing so much trial and error before finally getting it and just did it in 45 mins lol
