When it says need kills to unlock, do they need to do the killing blow with a normal attack or can you use All + Magic for example and does that count as the entire party getting kills that count towards their limitbreak unlock?

I remember about a year ago I was trying to get Tifa's Level 4. Somehow I managed to play it by ear with no guide. I found it to be pretty fun since I was able to experiment with the sounds. Tis a shame I cannot do that with a real piano!

There's one little incorrectness according to Vincent's last Limit. You can get it already, just after receiving the Highwind. Get yourself a golden Chocobo, ride to Lucretias Cave with Vincent in the party. Enter it, talk to her, leave, ride the cocobo over to an other area, fight ca. 10 times, enter again and there you got it. This works even on CD 2, you don't have to wait until CD 3 (at least if you play the PC Version)
Wouldn’t really call it a city, it’s a shanty town if anything, plus they probably didn’t get much of a choice given the financial status of a lot of people in the game 😂👍🏻
A side note for Aeris's limit break: The guy who gives you the mythril will give you a bolt ring instead if you run from battle too much. If you go outside and meet the conditions again (matching odd numbers/matching 0's) he'll give you the mythril.

I've always said it; FF7 was very advanced when it came to Materia use. I would spend hours alone just to see what the best combination of materia would be for different situations in the game. Some combinations helped while others would actually hurt you.
I just wish that the "hit every enemy for massive damage" limit breaks weren't so outclassed by the "multi-hit" limit breaks by end game. It just makes certain characters much weaker relative to others, I like Red XIII's concept and stats for instance but his level 4 limit is just not competitive with the others', and unlike Yuffie, neither are his lower level multi hit ones. I like Vincent, I like his character concept, I like that all of weapons are long range, I like that stat wise he most resembles Aeris, but again his limit breaks are garbage by end game, and the fucked up thing is that they could've made them decent by giving you control of his transformations, allowing you to choose freely between them before transforming (choose the right tool for the job), giving you more decent multi hit attacks, and maybe even some healing. He's a character I wanted to use on my most recent playthough as a replacement for Aeris, who I had never really used before and for whom I went out and got Great Gospel for the first time, but it's just not worth it. This lack of thought about viability on the part of the devs essentially forces you to pick Barret, Cid, or Tifa, or use Yuffie's Doom of the Living (but who wants to use her) if you want decent limit breaks and it really sucks, because other than Cait Sith and Yuffie, I like all of the characters.

Sad thing is how imbalanced the Limits are, specially because of the stupid 9999 damage cap. Any limit that hits a single time becomes basically shit in the late game. Level 4 limits like Cosmo Memory and All Creation are garbage late in the game and you're better off using a lower level one like Earth Rave or Stardust with Red XIII or Doom of the Living with Yuffie. I think the developers were really careless in this aspect of the game. They could and should have balanced Limit Breaks. Vincent is a character I like, but his shitty limit breaks make him a very poor choice for the party.
Watching you is really getting me back into final fantasy 7. I was 19 hours into it and then my computer took a shit and i lost all my progress. I haven't played it since, but once i beet ff4 i'm probably going to start playing again (with cloud saving on this time).
Yuffie's lv 4 limit break is a trap, Doom of the living makes soloing emerald weapon childs play when she's maxed out and has some counter mimes. It's crazy how people still sleep on how strong she is even now.

It's because of the critical hits that make cloud's stronger unless you raise their luck stats naturally cloud's will be stronger just because of the critical hits factor
Omnislash will always critical hit, so hitting 9,999 fifteen times is easier without max stats. When Barret and Cid have max stats, their limit breaks hit eighteen times for 9,999 each.
But Vincent's fully powered normal attack with the Death Penalty will oneshot anything other than Ruby WEAPON. Cait Sith's Slots can go one better, but are insanely unreliable.

When you mime Tifa's Limit or Cait Sith's 2nd Limit, they use the same slots, but not especially the same summon or toys. The Tifa's Limits are always critical when you hit a Yeah and are never critical else. In the Limits data file, each ally has 4 levels of *3* attacks, but they finally left blank 5 or those 12 slots. You can visit the Lucrecia's cave with a Green / Black / Golden Chocobo, not only the submarine. Lucrecia gives to Vincent the stuff as soon as - Cloud apologized in the Highwind operation room (ok it's almost like saying CD3 if you already did the quests) - you have Vincent triggering his flashback with Lucrecia - you fought a random number of battles, between 1 and 11, since the first time you came in the cave. Even if Vicent wasn't here. - you come again with Vincent in the party The 3 first conditions are required, but in any order.
I love that background music choice are always good on this channel, super calm and cute nerdy yet fun explanations that just give us all the information we need. And the fun humor we’ve come to enjoy. Modern games have lag and seem to suck compared to old school gaming experiences
Ozma is totally a luck based fight. You can totally fight Ozma at level 80 and die within a couple of turns or you can fight Ozma at lv 50 and kill him within 12 turns. Your best option to defeat Ozma is to use freyja trance ability jump and make sure she's levelled up with her ultimate weapon. There's a RUclips video showing how to kill Ozma only with her on the team with one turn alone
I did it the first time by just messing around with the piano. You can just play notes until it sounds like the ones for the opening theme. The opening theme is also piano, so it's a bit natural to play it on Tifa's piano.
All Creation is the game's strongest attack, with a 16x multiplier. But Yuffie isn't strong enough to get underflows with it, so it's pretty useless due to only attacking once.

Just an aside. So the reason why Young Cloud and Sephiroth get Vincent's and Cait Sith's Limits when you hack these characters in is because _something_ has to be put in the Limit menu, and it uses the Limit data set aside for those slots. The game only has eight character slots to work with. You don't get to recruit the actual characters before the Kalm Flashback scene (Cait Sith is mandatory, but still much much later). The game knows this, and uses the those character slots (Yuffie and Cait Sith) to store data independently for Young Cloud and Sephiroth - they have to function and grow and take damage and die on occasion, which requires character slots to retain that information. ("Slot 1 received 1500 damage from [Dragon]. Slot 1 has 0HP. Slot 1 is dead now." etc). It doesn't declare this information by character, but by the slot the character occupies in the program (this is different to the Party Formation slots, also). And why declare two MORE slots for bit characters that you'll only use for 45 minutes and never again? Sephiroth and Young Cloud are basically a reskinned trite predictable edgelord, and a weak and unappealing phony. .......or an actual trite predictable edgelord and weak and unappealing phony (your milage may vary). Those stats are recalculated when you recruit the actual slot owners anyway, and the Flashback character data is obliterated by the recruited character data. This prevents a sort of statistical Missingno. Glitch, else you'd probably end up getting Vincent with Seph stats (which would be pretty rad considering how strong he could possibly be when you get him), depending on who the actual owner of those slots are. I'm actually playing this game modded with the 7th Heaven launcher. One of the mods is to exploit this functionality by giving Jessie as a recruitable member for the Bombing Mission. Basically a reskinned Tifa, also knows Beat Rush, and the mod surrenders Slot 3 (Tifa's, but empty until Cloud and Barret embark on their second mission) after the Bombing Mission so Tifa can occupy it.

11:43 Final Heaven: when I play the piano after the subconscious scene with Tifa I just get 1 Gil. No conversation or limit break. This was the first time I visited and plays the piano exiting/reentering doesn’t reset it. Is this limit break missable?
Well at least the PS4 Xbox One and Switch version (the one I have) allow you to cheese limits and unlock higher level limits easier... not that I'm saying I did that... WHEEEEEEE!!!! (*runs*)
On the current PS4, XB1, & Switch versions you have the options of 3X speed and Instant Limit Break bar filled up +Max Health. By having these boosters on, you can for fun quickly max out Cloud's and Barrett's Level 3 limit breaks, even before fighting the first Scorpion boss. 😅
One Hit Level 4 Limits are such a waste in my opinion. With a leveled char, the ultimate weapon and good stats, the damage would be mutch, MUTCH higher, but if you dont mod the game to go over 9999, you are just wasting thousands of damages dealt. Even if a multi hit L4 does less per hit, it hits more than one time, so after the second hit, it most likely did allready more damage than the one hit, just because 5000 + 5000 (etc) is more than 9999.
I know this is most likely a dumb question but I need to know and can't find the answer anywhere else. When using Vincent's will his limit break change in strength power per weapon? The same could be asked about Cait Sith. Since no weapon is actually. Like how Vincent will turn some kind of monster like entity.

Im going to say this as an original player, here, FF7 was/is the most complete game ever. Like it or not, catch it late for its graphics, you've been tainted and steered by other games without knowing what a true game is.
If you cheat Aerith back into the game, she becomes a crucial party member for me solely because of Fury Brand. Also, only 7 characters have 7 limit breaks.
In remake they made Braver as non Limit Break and Climbhazzard replaced as Ascension,shame removing LB as they were supposed to be like in the originals
i always wondered, what the devs had in mind with the damage limit of 9999. it makes so many abilties and summons useless after a certain point. everything, that doesnt hit multiple times, is wasted after you reach that point. i always hated the fact, that limit levels need kills or usage, because some limits, i never used because they didnt suit my playstyle and kills, were always uneven, some char got more, some less

You learn it during Cloud's story in Kalm. You just gotta memorize it or write it down.
I did it the first time by just messing around with the piano. You can just play notes until it sounds like the ones for the opening theme. The opening theme is also piano, so it's a bit natural to play it on Tifa's piano.

I like Doom of the Living more than All Creation. Particularly with the conformer
All Creation is the game's strongest attack, with a 16x multiplier.
But Yuffie isn't strong enough to get underflows with it, so it's pretty useless due to only attacking once.
Doom of the Living should be tied with Omnislash at max damage though.

I always saved my limit breaks and so only Vincent got his lvl4 :/
Just an aside.
So the reason why Young Cloud and Sephiroth get Vincent's and Cait Sith's Limits when you hack these characters in is because _something_ has to be put in the Limit menu, and it uses the Limit data set aside for those slots.
The game only has eight character slots to work with. You don't get to recruit the actual characters before the Kalm Flashback scene (Cait Sith is mandatory, but still much much later). The game knows this, and uses the those character slots (Yuffie and Cait Sith) to store data independently for Young Cloud and Sephiroth - they have to function and grow and take damage and die on occasion, which requires character slots to retain that information. ("Slot 1 received 1500 damage from [Dragon]. Slot 1 has 0HP. Slot 1 is dead now." etc). It doesn't declare this information by character, but by the slot the character occupies in the program (this is different to the Party Formation slots, also).
And why declare two MORE slots for bit characters that you'll only use for 45 minutes and never again? Sephiroth and Young Cloud are basically a reskinned trite predictable edgelord, and a weak and unappealing phony. .......or an actual trite predictable edgelord and weak and unappealing phony (your milage may vary).
Those stats are recalculated when you recruit the actual slot owners anyway, and the Flashback character data is obliterated by the recruited character data. This prevents a sort of statistical Missingno. Glitch, else you'd probably end up getting Vincent with Seph stats (which would be pretty rad considering how strong he could possibly be when you get him), depending on who the actual owner of those slots are.
I'm actually playing this game modded with the 7th Heaven launcher. One of the mods is to exploit this functionality by giving Jessie as a recruitable member for the Bombing Mission. Basically a reskinned Tifa, also knows Beat Rush, and the mod surrenders Slot 3 (Tifa's, but empty until Cloud and Barret embark on their second mission) after the Bombing Mission so Tifa can occupy it.

11:43 Final Heaven: when I play the piano after the subconscious scene with Tifa I just get 1 Gil. No conversation or limit break. This was the first time I visited and plays the piano exiting/reentering doesn’t reset it. Is this limit break missable?
Well at least the PS4 Xbox One and Switch version (the one I have) allow you to cheese limits and unlock higher level limits easier... not that I'm saying I did that... WHEEEEEEE!!!! (*runs*)

On the current PS4, XB1, & Switch versions you have the options of 3X speed and Instant Limit Break bar filled up +Max Health.
By having these boosters on, you can for fun quickly max out Cloud's and Barrett's Level 3 limit breaks, even before fighting the first Scorpion boss. 😅

One Hit Level 4 Limits are such a waste in my opinion. With a leveled char, the ultimate weapon and good stats, the damage would be mutch, MUTCH higher, but if you dont mod the game to go over 9999, you are just wasting thousands of damages dealt. Even if a multi hit L4 does less per hit, it hits more than one time, so after the second hit, it most likely did allready more damage than the one hit, just because 5000 + 5000 (etc) is more than 9999.

I know this is most likely a dumb question but I need to know and can't find the answer anywhere else. When using Vincent's will his limit break change in strength power per weapon? The same could be asked about Cait Sith. Since no weapon is actually. Like how Vincent will turn some kind of monster like entity.

Im going to say this as an original player, here, FF7 was/is the most complete game ever. Like it or not, catch it late for its graphics, you've been tainted and steered by other games without knowing what a true game is.
If you cheat Aerith back into the game, she becomes a crucial party member for me solely because of Fury Brand.
Also, only 7 characters have 7 limit breaks.
In remake they made Braver as non Limit Break and Climbhazzard replaced as Ascension,shame removing LB as they were supposed to be like in the originals

i always wondered, what the devs had in mind with the damage limit of 9999. it makes so many abilties and summons useless after a certain point. everything, that doesnt hit multiple times, is wasted after you reach that point. i always hated the fact, that limit levels need kills or usage, because some limits, i never used because they didnt suit my playstyle and kills, were always uneven, some char got more, some less
