I've been stuck on this boss for an entire day and I was on the verge of giving up with 100% completion after following 5 other guides on RUclips. I would like to say a big thank you that your guide has helped me accomplish the trophy on my fifth attempt, thanks so much!!!
Most others seem to overcomplicate this, I dunno why, it's the same with Sephiroth, everybody overcomplicates him as well.
Personally, when using this strategy and its a similar type of thing with Sephiroth, I find Weiss quite easy.
I can't believe some players say Weiss is hardest boss ever, a single boss will never be as hard as the multiple boss gauntlets that are Top Secret and the the end few chapters
I will worship the ground you walk on as long as you live. Thank you so much, I thought I would never beat him.
Question, do you plan on doing guides for the Yuffie DLC? Your guides helped me complete all of the Shinra Combat Simulator missions on the first try before I even started hard mode.
I've done Chapter 1 collectibles for Yuffie and the Weiss fight, I've still got to do chapter 2 collectibles and Hard Bosses, yes I plan to, I haven't got back to it yet though

I spent nights on this without being able to keep him from phase shifting, it turns out I was getting too far away from him while parrying for him to use Stab. He was using nothing but Eviscerate because of that. So make sure not to go ham with the Parries. Hopefully I can finally beat him now.
Edit: literally the same attempt I beat him. Thank you so much @Optinoob! You’ve helped me with every boss and I wouldn’t have finished hard mode without you. Easily the best and most clear boss strategies. You’re awesome! Finally done getting the trophies in this game just in time for Rebirth!
Might be two years late, but thanks to this guide I beat Weiss on my third try (after messing up the first two). I even made mistakes and he went into phase 3, but one final limit got him. Thanks so much for this guide, its brilliant!
Thank you! Your guide is amazing, the other guides I saw basically had these super offensive set ups for perfect speed runners, no healing or buff materia ect.. your guide is way more realistic and similar to my own play style allowing room for some error with barrier and heal saving my ass.

As many have said, there are lots of guides for how to do this, but none so straightforward and effective as this one. Went from getting nothing done to beating him in minutes thanks to you!

You are the best! No one can make a guide like you. Other RUclipsrs 'easy' guide assume you have weapon upgrades maxed out and maximizes the slot usage. That kind of guide intimidates the person looking for an easy guide because it gives us a sense that it's near impossible boss if you don't have this exact setup. Your guide gives a sense of calm and ease because it makes us feel wow if this guy can beat it with so few upgrades and slots, it actually must be easy; and your commentary does actually show that it is easy.
I mean I guess different strokes. It took me way less time to grind the materia and gear I needed to just….not learn a 200 button sequence and timing to weave the abilities in.
Great video. After dying numerous times, I beat Weiss first try after using this guide.
I watched several guides, but no guide told how to make the parry the proper way, that's the life saver in this guide, congrats

hey man, jsut wanted to let you know that this fight was driving me insane, every other guide i found suggested different strategies like firaga, arcane ward use, etc. but this guide is the one that ACTUALLY let me beat him! thank you so much for this guide, incredibly helpful and well thought out

Thank you for this amazing and easy to follow strategy! It's just gone past midnight and into the 29th Feb 2024, the launch day for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and this was the final trophy left on Remake INTERmission for 100% completion...and I just got it!! 🎉
I had Ultimate Weapon 2.0, The Road to Revenge and Corrupter of the Immaculate left to obtain today and I honestly thought I'd struggle with this boss for days. Thankfully I had my PS4 save which had ALL the Materia and gear I needed maxed out. This fight was WAY easier than the Pride and Joy bosses. The R1+Triangle movement makes it easy to dodge and pressuring him wasn't as hard as I thought. For others who are attempting this, it's fine to recast Regen and Barrier once more if you need to during the first stage, as I did and still had enough time. The trickiest part is the final chain of spells for the stagger.
Once again, thank you so much for this strategy, what a relief and I can now fully enjoy starting Rebirth once it arrives today 😃🎊.
Got it on my 4th attempt! Just had to restart a few times since I wasn't parrying Stab the right way at times. Your guides are such a help man! I've got a few more chapters to beat on Hard with your guides and then ill have that Plat 🏆 Thanks again for all your hard work and posts bro

Best guide ever!! I made a few changes to Tifa's materias and armor, so I added Luck Up and Atb Boost since I was short on ATB after the stagger, but the overall strategy worked perfectly!!!
Dude,immense thanks!!!!beat it on first try using your strategy.even not the exact same setup,as i was missing some materia(2 first strikes and a couple hp ups and mp ups) and it still worked!!!everyone who feels frustrated about this fight should watch this vid!!thank you again!!!

Took me a few tries to finally take him down but yet again your guide was amazing. First part was hard to get him staggered but once I got to just second phase, the rest was a cake walk. We just kept blasting him with Blizzaga until he died 😂. Awesome work as always!

Thank you very much. I tried several tutorials, all of them were either too difficult to follow or poorly explained. On my second attempt, I managed to defeat Weiss following your tutorial. It's perfect for regular players.
Thank you. I was able to win this battle on my second try (the first I was still learning the timing for Tifa's dodge). After the nightmare that was vs. Top Secrets, I was nervous this would be another headache. Glad to have this strategy that kept everything simple!

I haven't played this game in a year, and this trophy was really starting to hang over me. After watching your video I beat it on my first try. The end was a bit chaotic (I barely remember the FF7R controls) but having Tifa's Limit at the 'stagger' made all the difference. Thanks man, I'll check back in for your rebirth content.

This is an excellent guide, after following other unsuccessful & over complicated guides. I beat Weiss on the third try. Only variation i made was using Firaga instead of blizzaga, as i kept missing with blizzaga because he kept moving. Thanks for your help!
You legend. Booted up my old save to see somehow it decided I never beat him the first time (despite having the trophy). And with your help I was able to shake off the rust quick as you like and remind it who runs things around here.

One thing I learned along the way, and it might sound like common knowledge, but its definitely easier to dodge his attacks if there's more space between you (Tifa) and him, especially Eviscerate.
Once you get the timing of each of his attacks, I won't say it was "easy," but it started all coming together. Then just had to keep from panicking with excitement when he Staggered, so I could get all the attacks in.
I dont know how many tries it took me, but the second attempt in which I was successful at Staggering him, I took him down. The first time I forgot to get Tifa's Limit Break in, and it threw the timing of everything else. Then he started healing and I couldn't get him again.
But the second time I was able to Stagger him on a different attempt, I had everything written down, paused often to make sure I didn't mess up, and I got him. What a relief! Just in time for Rebirth!!!

Beastly strategy! Working my way to the remake platinum and this fight was available to me as I’ve completed Remake and the DLC on normal mode a few years back! Took a few goes but made short work of him in the end!
I don't comment on videos much but your FFVIIR strat videos are the best, hands-down. I used them for Harbinger, Arsenal, Seph, Weiss, and Top Secrets and got them all on the first try. Thank you!

I cleared Weiss second attempt using this strategy, the first time only failed as by the time my atb built he entered another phase and did a rage move that wiped us. I uploaded my clear in disbelief I did this in only 2 tries!!

Damn, I didn't know you need to hold R1 and pressed circle for tifa to dodge quickly, once I knew that, it was easy to dodge and pressure Weiss. Took me 4 times to figure that out, finally got him after spamming blizzaga like there's no tomorrow! Thank you optinoob!
After watching many tutorials, yours was the one that finally worked. Beat Weiss on the 3rd try. First try I somehow ran out of ATB on Phase Two and couldn’t build up enough before he slaughtered Cloud and Aerith. Second try Weiss was taking his time with attacks on Phase One and couldn’t Stagger him before the phase change. 3rd try was definitely the charm. I even missed a couple Blizzaga attacks and still beat him.

Found first part of it quite simple when to dodge his attacks etc the second part I found a bit difficult thanks to this guide it helped me I wasn't using ice as much as fire or lightning but ice worked very well against him and the g item I didn't think to use it many thanks for helpful tips from this guide
Your video was the only one that got me through this. In my case however, I had to cast blizzaga like 4 or 5 more times to finally bring Weiss down. I now have achieved 100% completion of the game. Cheers to your video. ✌️
