Great guide, couple of tips to make it even faster: - Have Aerith as caster and use L2/R2 to make her use the spells. That way, you can immediately run towards the next location with Cloud while waiting for the spell to finish. Also, at least at lv 70, she can one shot everything with just -ara, so you free up one Materia slot - Use a Chocobo to get from the 2nd to the 3rd enemy group. You don't need to wait for them, just hit R1 while sprinting and the Chocobo will catch up to you, allowing you to saddle up midsrpint. The example run in the video takes 95 seconds, the Chocobo saves ~5 seconds (other tip has less impact), with a bit of practice and input optimization, you can do 70-75 second runs.
Outside the 3-4 blue materia that take forever, I found the Queen Bee method to be the fastest to max everything (select chapter 13, start the Fluffy quest, and when you get to the boss, keep her alive so you can kill the Guard Bees she spawns. She spawns 4 at a time for 48 AP. I was able to kill the all with a perfect Yuffie Windstorm.)

I did this coming straight out of completing normal mode at lvl 5x. Couldn’t one shot the mobs and my switcast was still level one. But this still works really well. To compensate for some shortcomings, I used atb stagger materia, atb boost. Also threw on EXP materia and my characters got to level 70 in 20 minutes. To which then I was able to start one shotting the mobs. I also used aerith for this. If she ended up dying, I would just flee the battle and go in again without healing. I also had some materia slots to spare so for more damage I used magic focus. I also put up MP absorption. Great guide.
I'd recommend Chapter 11 instead. Chapter 12 forces you to pilot the Tiny Bronco all the way to Costa del Sol with no fast travel until you get there. Load up Chapter 11 and you can immediately call Cid to just fly you to Gongaga and fast travel to this spot instead. While you won't be able to fast travel between regions to respawn enemies, you can just Save/Load to respawn them instead.

SO THIS IS A NEW GAME PLUS FARM? because you don’t get SWIFT CAST MATERIA till after CHAPTER 12, you also don’t get the MAJORITY OF EQUIPMENT YOUR USING TILL LATE GAME.
Yeah they’re really no need to do this grind until you have all the materia that needs to be grinded in this way like swift cast and 2x magic focus and magic efficiency. Plus all the luck up and warding that you think you’ll need - otherwise you’ll spend more time switching out maxed materia than actually farming
And if you get aerith with the mphp and loaded up with magic up and enemy skill you won’t need to rest and can one shot them all with faster casted first level magic spells
Unsure if you found it out or not yet but basically if you kill multiple in succession it just combines their total. So 3 enemies that give 6ap a piece is 18ap
So what im noticing is base game u get xp nerfed and base ap, then when you hit post game aka chapter select you are not nerfed on xp gains anymore and you gain triple ap. The xp nerf is rough goes as high as 75% xp reduction. 25% per lvl higher then the enemy your fighting up to 3 lvls.
The base game nerfs your xp if your to high of a lvl, once u unlock chapter select regardless of difficulty you can get full xp from everything regardless of lvl plus the ap boost weather this is boosted even further on hard mode is a different story.
I dont understand why you need the amulet when you only ever use 1 atb bar for your spell, also why you need Cait Sith, other than why to have more slots to level materia with?

Couple of questions. Is this faster than the infinite respawning bee enemies from Nibelheim sidequest? And do you get more AP by playing on Hard mode or is it the same on any difficulty?
Fantastic!!!! Playing the game now and loving it. Was wondering if you made or going to make a video on what materia on what character so the fighting is more fun. Thank you in advance
Thank you for this. I’m trying to max all my materia for the final fight in Hard mode and was restarting chapter 13 and killing the swuad in the temple entrance. Rinse & repeat on Easy mode to make it quicker. And although it yields results, your methods does as well, and quicker

Thank you so much! At least there’s no need for much grinding after what happened with Remake to Rebirth where save files don’t matter. I actually upgraded everyone with their own materia in preparation for part 2, but at least with part 3, we all know this won’t matter
Those AP numbers are so high because you already beat the game and after that point they triple AP experience. Did he mention that or did I miss something?
Those AP Numbers doesn't exist, what he is calculating is the amount your party can earn and not per single Materia. Each round you earn 75AP or 150 with AP+.
not sure why you don't just do sea horses in the coral region. they give 24 ap per fight and all you do is hit triangle to restart the fight. no running, no fast travel to reset.
You tell us that this can't be done past chapter 12, then tell us to use Swiftcast Materia, which isn't available until chapter 13 the earliest. I'm assuming you meant this to be a post-game, chapter select guide?
I don't even think the Exp and AP rates would be this high in the first playthrough. Chapter select raises gains, so, you really should only grind after beating the game.
Technically you can do it on Chapter 12, the problem is you will need to do it all over again to maximise Swiftcast (lvl 5 needs 18000 AP). The tutorial works, just the numbers are fake, it makes no sense to count the whole party ap earning when what matters is the amount you get per individual materia. I spent a whole afternoon yesterday doing it and per round I got 75AP and 150 with AP+ linked.
Am I missing something? Why is he getting "100 AP every run" when these enemies barely give 10 is this post game and I'm just slow because I haven't finished the game yet. Or did he just not explain this very well? Am confused
I have two max level First Strike materia equipped but only get one and a quarter/third ATB charge so can’t cast Blizzaga. How come you’re starting with a full 2 ATB charges? Am I missing something?
Why the time materia? Also do we have to be in chapter 12 for it to work I’m in chapter nine and have all the characters and in that area but not as many materia slots

Question, I’m doing this but after a while I noticed the amount of xp and ap are getting lower and lower, I have not beaten the game I’m just on chapter 9
Love your videos, as always, but hate your clickbaiting and false headlines. Why call it 42000 ap/h, when it's 6000? Just because it's 7 characters? Well if so, why not multiply with the amount of Materia slots to make it sound even better. With this method, you get 6000 ap/h, not more (if not using AP Up). And then you write, maxing any Materia in 30 minutes, which would mean that the Materia tops up att 3000 AP, which you sure do know many Materias don't. Keep making great videos, but stick to being honest, both with your numbers and titles. I use your guides in most rpgs, but I get frustrated every time due to the misinformation.
So true! He is like calculating based off of Comet or something. Many higher level Materia have multiple levels that equate to huge cumulative AP requirements to max, not just the ones he mentioned. 6000 AP per hour assuming you nailing the postgame run once every minute, including menu navigation and fast travel load times, lol.
real quick, I've seen online that you have to complete ch 12 to get the Swiftcast Materia... I'm on the mission "A Gold Key" but I'm afraid if I finish I will not be able to farm... Any news on where you need to be for the Swiftcast Materia so you can farm?
Swiftcast is purchased from Chadley in the last proto-relic zone that only unlocks after you've obtained all of the other relics in the main zones. The last two in Corel, don't unlock until the end of chapter 12.
Yes. I went further and linked another 2 ice materias with HP Absorb and MP Absorb on the same person just to see if it works, and it does. Meaning you can set it up so that a cast of Blizzard is fast, heals HP+MP and hits all enemies. It's great but slots are probably better used for other stuff, it'll have its niche uses. You need 8 slots to do this.

The little cactuar there gives you 12 each. If you find three of them thats 36. Add the AP boost, then it's 72.
SO THIS IS A NEW GAME PLUS FARM? because you don’t get SWIFT CAST MATERIA till after CHAPTER 12, you also don’t get the MAJORITY OF EQUIPMENT YOUR USING TILL LATE GAME.
And? The Magic Pots in the original were SUPER late game. Literally 2 rooms before the final boss
Although it's after chapter 12 you can still get swiftcast during chapter 13
You shouldn't grind for AP until after beating the game... You get a 3x multiplier for beating the game.
4:19 seconds in - you get 18 AP with that. How are you getting that much? New game plus or something?
Unsure if you found it out or not yet but basically if you kill multiple in succession it just combines their total. So 3 enemies that give 6ap a piece is 18ap
Also hard mode is more ap
So what im noticing is base game u get xp nerfed and base ap, then when you hit post game aka chapter select you are not nerfed on xp gains anymore and you gain triple ap. The xp nerf is rough goes as high as 75% xp reduction. 25% per lvl higher then the enemy your fighting up to 3 lvls.
dont you mean the other way? Hard mode gets a buff in XP? cos saying nerfED implies you can do hard mode first which isn't the case.
The base game nerfs your xp if your to high of a lvl, once u unlock chapter select regardless of difficulty you can get full xp from everything regardless of lvl plus the ap boost weather this is boosted even further on hard mode is a different story.
Where did you get all those time materia?!
kinda surprised you didn't put blizzaga on a r1 hotkey xD
Magnify doesn’t work on hotkeys
@@AnomMona-d8g well that sucks >:(
@@AnomMona-d8gYes it does. Set the spell to a shortcut and then hit L1 to turn on Magnify.
Is a let’s play or 100% run in the future? Livestream?
Thank you buddy for making this awesome guide God bless you and bless your family 😊
Stop fast traveling, run a little bit away from where the mob spawns, save and then load the game. They all spawn and so do the items you can pick up.
I dont understand why you need the amulet when you only ever use 1 atb bar for your spell, also why you need Cait Sith, other than why to have more slots to level materia with?
Blizzaga costs 2 ATB to cast. Cait Sith gets you 12 more materia slots, which means more materia leveled at once, which equals more gil faster.
Wait, what do you need that much Gil for? Are there super-expensive items near the end of the game? I’m only in Chapter 8 and haven’t really seen anything worth spending Gil on aside from one sword so far.
Think he said he levels up time materia or something and sells it
@@TheGintama86 I know what he was doing, I was asking why he was doing it. I’m on Chapter 9 and haven’t seen anything worth farming Gil for so far, so I was asking if there was an actual reason why he was mastering materia to sell them, or if he was just doing it for the heck of it?
I was actually going to ask the same exact question. Also on chapter 9. Have a buttload of cash I barely even use. Just wondering what he’s saving all his Gil up for ?
@@miaandkylie1961 Maybe the spare change materia 🤔 it probably can be broken haven't really tried
Some crafting materials for end game gear costs 10,000 gil EACH, and you need like 20 or them for one item. If you don't care about optional bosses on hard mode, then you probably won't need it.
Couple of questions. Is this faster than the infinite respawning bee enemies from Nibelheim sidequest?
And do you get more AP by playing on Hard mode or is it the same on any difficulty?
I've seen on a different video that difficulty level does not change the amount of ap and xp you get, so just put it on easy.
@@shadowmosez1804 XP is definitely increased on harder difficulties.
I did everything in chapter 13. Start it, dock the bronco, that's it.
Caith is not in the group
from this area, fast travel to the island in sw nibel that has a beach btwn 2 cliffs, there are 3 sets of enemies RIGHT next to each other.
Great video!
the better spot is in nibel where you fight the killerbees, the beequeen bring back the killerbees over and over again
thats only for xp, doesnt save the ap
awesome method I will try it!!! but yout'e doign it on hard mode or normal mode?? because in hard mode I guess yuu get get more exp but also gives you more ap??
You can map the spells to quick slots to save some time
Hi im slightly confused, when you get a group of 3 enemies you get 18-21 AP, im only getting 7 from each group. Am i doing something wrong?
He already completed the game and Is in the hard mode, where they give you more AP and exp
Thank you so much! At least there’s no need for much grinding after what happened with Remake to Rebirth where save files don’t matter. I actually upgraded everyone with their own materia in preparation for part 2, but at least with part 3, we all know this won’t matter
It's more for Hard Mode content, Brutal and Legendary Chadley's Mission.
Wish I started my ap farming before going right into hard mode lol
How do you have the Cetran Bracer on cloud and still have Cait Sith in the party? Don't you lose him in chapter 12 and isn't the bracer in chapter 13?
Those AP numbers are so high because you already beat the game and after that point they triple AP experience. Did he mention that or did I miss something?
Those AP Numbers doesn't exist, what he is calculating is the amount your party can earn and not per single Materia. Each round you earn 75AP or 150 with AP+.
Ok this explains it! I rewatched the video thinking I missed a piece of equipment
not sure why you don't just do sea horses in the coral region. they give 24 ap per fight and all you do is hit triangle to restart the fight. no running, no fast travel to reset.
How do you manage mana though?
You tell us that this can't be done past chapter 12, then tell us to use Swiftcast Materia, which isn't available until chapter 13 the earliest. I'm assuming you meant this to be a post-game, chapter select guide?
Yes this is a chapter select guide
I don't even think the Exp and AP rates would be this high in the first playthrough. Chapter select raises gains, so, you really should only grind after beating the game.
Technically you can do it on Chapter 12, the problem is you will need to do it all over again to maximise Swiftcast (lvl 5 needs 18000 AP). The tutorial works, just the numbers are fake, it makes no sense to count the whole party ap earning when what matters is the amount you get per individual materia. I spent a whole afternoon yesterday doing it and per round I got 75AP and 150 with AP+ linked.
@@eduardomamede9779 How were your results? I did it for a little bit but found it wasn't worth it.
After 12 because Caith Sith. More slots. And after beating the game for 13 chapter select on hard por triple xp
Am I missing something? Why is he getting "100 AP every run" when these enemies barely give 10 is this post game and I'm just slow because I haven't finished the game yet. Or did he just not explain this very well? Am confused
its postgame, at the end of the video i mention "if you're not in postgame your numbers will be lower"
As usual with most of his videos, he doesn't explain it very well.
@@Primalliquid92 bruh
Ah thanks was gonna sub till was said he doesn't mean to explain everything fully.
I have two max level First Strike materia equipped but only get one and a quarter/third ATB charge so can’t cast Blizzaga. How come you’re starting with a full 2 ATB charges? Am I missing something?
Chocobo cape item from Gold saucer (Golden Cup run) give you a atb segment
@@guilhermesouzafelipedesaoj3647 Thanks!
If you do this in Hardmode, its also an Amazing xp Farm
Does the triple ap apply to easy or is it only hard?
Question, how and where did you get all those armors with so many slots for materia? Anyhow, thank you for your video.
He probably used game genie or save wizard as they call it to obtain everything, find glitches for us to play !
I'm seeing you get 18 AP for that fight just outside the fence. I only get 6. How is that possible?
Probably easy or normal, plus beating the game doubles or triples AP, plus chocobo Armband triples AP
Why the time materia? Also do we have to be in chapter 12 for it to work I’m in chapter nine and have all the characters and in that area but not as many materia slots
you wait for chapter 12 because you have more materia available to level and alot more materia slots
You can sell Maxed Time Materia for massive amount of Gil
@@danzoEX What the hell does anyone need Gil for?
How do you fast travel between regions without using the plane? Maybe I've not gone far enough to open that ability, but I cannot do it without using plane. I'm just at the end of the cosmo canyon quest that wants me to take the plane to nibelheim
Gotta keep playing until the plane becomes the boat then you can fast travel freely
@@XxWhIpLaSh18xX yep, I just made it to chapter 12 and Cid "modified" the tiny bronco ahah. I was afraid to go too far and lose Cait sith, but I think I'm in the right spot now to go max out all my materia in gongaga before he leaves the party.
This is what I’m talking about baby
The 🐐 is back for Rebirth already!
Becuase others like me asked and what not i scoured the comments to find the answers. But from what i understand: He doenst mention to get these numbers he finished the game already and is going back to older chapters on a harder difficulty. So basically finish game, go back to this chapter do this on a harder mode gives you these numbers. Though even before finishing the game this is one of the faster methods just not as crazy as this on post game.
difficulty is on easy and i do mention its postgame towards the end of the video and your numbers will be lower if you have not finished the game yet and even pre postgame its still the fastest
I think what we need to know is why are the numbers lower pre-post game vs post game with no increase to difficulty modes. Besides finishing the game why does post game make the AP accumulation different? @@Primalliquid92
@@wingedbullets You get MASSIVE boosts to AP and EXP after beating the game. You did in FF7Remake as well.
@@melanp4698 ahh I see I never noticed on the first game as I had maxed everything before I finished it lol
Guess i been doing it the hard way. Cosmo canyon intel 2 in the simulator gets you about 2,000 per. Did all the way to 60 before chp 12
exp carries over from each battle, but AP doesn't save.
Oh wow. So I got that rank 3 for the time materia in pirate brigade mini game or whatever it's called in Costa del Sol for no reason. Ugh. At least it only took 8 or so tries. Thanks for the farming spots!
Why are you not using magnify on the short cut is it just for the video?
Does anyone know if he beat the game already?? Cuz im on chaptee 12 on my first play thru and im doin this run pretty well and i am not getting the numbers he was getting..
Yeah this is a complete file with chapter select unlocked. 😊
@@NaythonCross cool thanks 👍👍
Is this the new game plus like select chapter?
I might have accidentally sold the chocobo armband without realizing it had triple AP... did I screw myself?
No, you can still do these methods. It’ll just take a little longer.
Question, I’m doing this but after a while I noticed the amount of xp and ap are getting lower and lower, I have not beaten the game I’m just on chapter 9
AP shouldnt change but EXP degrades when you outlevel mobs
Ok cool thanks
Hi! Is this done in hard mode or can it be done on normal?
What do you need all the money for btw? Is spare change like fucking amazing with certain blue materia?
Buying mats for crafting or buying materia i guess
Good stuff!
Seriously that is SUPER misleading. Why bother multiply it per character when they all receive the AP other than to look impressive and get clicks?
real quick, I've seen online that you have to complete ch 12 to get the Swiftcast Materia...
The last two in Corel, don't unlock until the end of chapter 12.
so I can finish the the mission without moving forward to ch 13. TY
@@brettminor6762
lol the way he said 12 made me think of the one guy who said “SHE SAID SHE WAS 12!!”😂
how are you getting swiftcast by chapter 12? don't you need to get it from gilgamesh island?
it's a cleared save file with chapter selection
how do you get 21ap in cliffside? i only get 7ap on the mantis and 2 wyrm
So a blizzard linked with swiftcast will stack with a separate blizzard linked with magnify?
Question, what are Gil for ? tossing skill is caped :(
Is there a something hidden to do with Gil :)
i never bought smth from the stores xD
It's the in game currency, so you can buy new equipments and materias. Just for curiosity, how far are you in the game?
