I had the same issue initially. Make sure the housing assembly is seated properly. You will have to move the screw around while turning it to get the screw to thread. Because of the angle you have to put it back in at, it may seem like you are putting it in straight, but you are more than likely not
@RoCDIY thank you for the response, what you said is correct, and I also had to push the screw incredibly hard to get it thread. Took me a couple hours (embarrassingly) but I managed to get it!
You can buy a new bulb housing or you can put some duct tape on it. You can also run short screws in from two sides being careful not to put them where they shouldn't go. Thanks for watching.

I cant get my screw back in. Not sure why but it doesnt seem long enough when trying to re install the lamp assembly
