2017 VW Jetta brake light change.

Just changed my wife’s brake light…mechanic put in a single filament bulb that required pliers to remove.
Correct bulb set purchased & installed…thank you for the video😊

So there are two different types of bulbs? The set I bought only had one kind

Yes, get the light with the two filaments. The 2nd one lights up when you apply the brakes.
