Hey guys in this video he’s showing the Passenger Side (easy side) If you were unfortunate like me and had to replace the Driver Side, I’m sure we all ran into the same issue: getting it to lock back in place. The trick is: that little pointy sharp piece on the silver housing (kinda looks like a little house or something), make sure that you have that oriented to the ground. I had mine facing upwards and spent 20 minutes trying to lock the bulb back in place. I disassembled it and rotated the pointy part towards the ground, and within 30 seconds I had the bulb snap back into place. Hope this helps!!
Thanks for the vid. That said, it looks easier than it is… it s easy to change the drl and high beam bulbs, as they are easily accessible. The low beam ones (the ones that will burn first, obviously) are much less accessible. Here the vid shows the passenger side low beam bulb change, which is already painful. Looking at that vid, I had to change the low beam bulb from the driver’s side… and that was hell: first, I’m 6’3, with proportionally sized hand. There is very little space to pass the hand to reach for it… nearly impossible. Even the bulb could hardly pass, I got scared to brake it. But slowly, I managed…couldnt get the old bulb out, because it wouldn’t turn. Stuck. Then, once unstuck half an hour later, I had to try 4 times before I managed to screw back the new bulb… it detached 3 times, but thanks to my “ballerina hands”, I managed to pull the bulb out without touching the glass (I think). Anyways… an hour later it was done. But again… it looked way easier in this vid than it was 😅 (‘13 Jetta wagon)
Agreed. I’m also 6’3” with large hands. There’s a reason I showed the passenger side…no where to film considering my hands don’t fit! 😂 Whoever designed the fuse box right there was a d*ck. Haha.
Is there a difference between the daytime running lights, and the low-beam lights?? My gf has a 2013 Jetta 4dr and one of her daytime lights out and a low-beam headlight and because it's not my car, I don't know what to order or what she needs exactly and she tasked me with replacing them for her
Ok that little job took me a bit longer than your video … the burnt headlight was on the drivers side and that damn fuse box was a pain in the ….. knuckles…… but I got in and it’s done

Thanks, had to do this today on my Jetta. Getting the bulb out was a little struggle but got it done pretty fast.
