    I get a kick out of watching Justin working with you in the hay field as I was about his age on a small Case tractor
    and a side rake. So I know how proud he is doing that job. Keep learning and always safety comes first .

    The reason I love your videos is because 90 percent of family farms are run like yours. They make do with what they have and pass on the knowledge to the next generation. Your children are our future farmers ❤

    The first baler I ever baled with was an 853 New Holland. Loved running that baler. Mostly pulled it with a 930 Case also some on a 1456 IH and 1100 MF. Those were fun days.

    Nice to see someone can make hay. We have had so many rain days here in Ontario,Canada we can’t make any dry hay without getting it rained on. Our wheat is about ready to harvest but won’t dry down enough due to frequent rains. I wish we could send you some of our rain

      I was Justin's size when Dad put me on the International 240 with a New Idea rake. I almost put the whole side rake on top of me when I turned too sharply trying to turn back around in order to double the windrow. The rake caught the right rear tire and rode up above the seat where I was sitting. Bent the rake but it still worked.

    Alan we figured out here. Put a piece of baler wire on the rope or tractor make it secure. The other end of wire you make a couple wraps around it self. Hitch pin break or rope gets tangled up. It straitens the wire and it comes apart.

  • @leahmollytheblindcatnordee3586

    Thanks for putting this one out. Good to see Justin enjoying the tractor. He looks at home there. It is 7/26 and we have had a couple of rains lately. Not huge, but definitely helpful. Hope everyone up in Minnesota and Wisconsin has gotten it too.

We have to wear rubber boots in the fields. One of the neighbours had his big bale wagon stuck right to the axles. Great video and thanks for posting, take care 😊🇨🇦

    Oof da that seat incident could have been very bad. PTO shafts are unforgiving. (I am reminded of the gentleman you interviewed a while ago that had his leg mangled in the PTO of a self unloading wagon). With those open bars on your baler, do you lose many leaves when baling Alfalfa/clover?

    • @trinitydairy
      @trinitydairy  Год назад

      Yeah I think it does have quite a bit of leaf loss.

    • @trinitydairy

      Not sure if there is one specific thing, but I would say the clutch, and also engine overhaul, just because of wear over time.
