Try watching it while you work in criminal justice and know the classification code like the back of your hand. I think there are fewer characters that aren't felons than those that are. The only St. is probably Emily's dad.

I actually think this is furthest thing from the worst of Alison. Remember she was only 13 at the time, and the entire incident was an accident - a prank gone wrong. The outcome was tragic but realistically it shouldn’t define her. The blame which was placed on Toby only landed him in juvie for a year or less. 🤷♀️

Alison thought Toby was a member of the NAT club because he was being creepy lurking around at night, hiding in shadows. And bushes. Alison was full-blown being exploited by the NAT club. She was dealing with -A and a lot of shit. 💩 She was under a lot of stress, And here’s this sneaky guy who’s always being shady. And he’s sleeping with his sister obviously 🙄, the natural conclusion would be that he’s a depraved pervert too.
A lot of the worst things Alison have has done are a direct reflection of severe trauma response.
Alison never intended to hurt Jenna. Matter fact, she didn’t intend to hurt her at all. She threw a stink bomb 💣 at intended Target, 🎯 Toby, who she was convinced was peeping through her bedroom window 🪟.
That was literally what their argument was about when she blackmailed him about him peeing through her window 🪟. And spying on her.
That is not premeditated, malicious intent. That is a straight up accident. Plain and simple.
I disagree with Aria's worst thing.
I think Aria's worst thing is destroying Emily and Alison's nursery. Yes, the way she treated Hanna was awful. However, the fact that she was willing to destroy the bedroom of two of her best friend's future children all to protect her abuser from facing the consequences of his actions, is just absolutely disgusting.

Mirroring Spencer and Alex’s narrative, I believe Mary always resented Jessica for having the life that Mary felt robbed of. Shorty after Jessica’s death, Mary literally dressed as Jessica to watch Spencer, just like how later Alex impersonated Spencer. We know this was not the first time Mary impersonated Jessica, since that was what led to the conception of Spencer and Alex in the first place. To me, Mary’s character is similar to Mona’s - both highly intelligent, secretive and vengeful.

If I remember correctly, Caleb didn’t actually fall in love with Miranda or left Hanna for her, she went missing and he just went looking for her, so I don’t think it was that bad as he was trying to save someone’s life ?
For me, the Spaleb thing is definitely the worst thing he did, like how can you date your first love’s best friend ?!! I don’t know what the writers did to Caleb but his character just annoyed me towards the end.

i think the worst thing ashley’s done was being sesually active with hanna around the house, specially with wilden. i know she did it to protect her daughter and although i love her, i think doing it with hanna there seeing and hearing it was f up. also hooking up with jason was weird as hell, he’s so much younger and she saw him grow up
I would agree HOWEVER 1) Ashley didn’t know that Hanna was up that late. 2) Wilden used his position as a police officer to blackmail and coerce Ashley. He essentially R worded her.

@@sarickacampbell2642 I think she did make it up; it is never confirmed that she actually saw him creeping, and they heavily imply it was a lie or heavily exaggerated within the show, plus she lied as much as she breathed air.
She didn’t know Jenna was SA’ing Toby until she went to do the stink bomb, hence her shocked expression when she looked inside, and her comments in the argument after. Ali not “intending” to blind Jenna isn’t all too relevant imo, it is still the worst thing she has ever done. i.e you don’t mean to kill someone, but you still did- you didn’t mean to blind them, but you did. the outcome is criminal regardless. She then didn’t even apologise she double and tripled down on it by threatening her multiple times. She may not have meant to but she didn’t show remorse either.
Theres also the theory that if it was following the books for this plot but gender flipped then it was somewhat intentional, but that is just a theory ofc.

She was a horrible person before A and before she found out about the NAT club- they didn’t make her who she is she was just a mean person. Yes being groomed by multiple older me, exploited by NAT & bullied by A, would make it worse, but she had already done a lot of shady stuff anyway so it can’t all be blamed on them.
We can like a character without erasing the bad things they do or pinning blame for the bad things onto someone else. I love Alis character (pre time jump) but she is evil lol

A stink bomb is not a malicious intent. Have you never used a stinkbomb before all it does is does is stink up the place. By your logic all the boys at camp who threw stink bombs in each other’s rooms they should all be convicted as dangerous and psychotic. It’s a child’s prank toy. She didn’t know there was a gas ⛽️ leak that would’ve cause an explosion 💥 when she threw it in there.
And Jenna was not the target. 🎯 She clearly said the stink bomb was for Toby.
Alison has said multiple times that Toby is a creep and a perv. Heavily suggesting that she knows something about Toby suggesting that she thinks that he’s one of the NAT pervs. The night of the explosion, her fight with him was about him lurking around and spying on her.
And she’s not the only person guilty of accusing Toby of being a creep and a pervert all the liars did even when Allison wasn’t around and Emily thought he wanted to murder her. Spencer was convinced that he was a murderer.
Toby is no saint, everything that he did when he was pretending to be a part of the -A team was worse than anything Alison has ever done.
He intentionally faked his death. Alison didn’t. Her only crime was running away. 🏃♀️ being a teenage runaway isn’t a crime.
Toby Saw what he was doing to Spencer and he never even apologized for it. She just forgave him.
But Toby gets putting on a pedestal as a valiant hero. 🦸🏻♂️
Alison has done nothing but shown remorse. She is the one who apologized to the liars for them framing her for murder. She’s the one who risk her life to bring them home. 🏡
And Spencer made it very clear that she wouldn’t have done the same.
Alison story is never told from her perspective or her point of view. It’s always told from somebody else’s. She never gets a narrate her own narrative.
So her motivations are never explained which is just piss poor writing. ✍🏻
Alison suffers from being an enigma.
Which means that she is a constant projection & perception Of everybody else’s perspective heightened, feelings, and emotions,Making Alison a projection of everyone’s insecurities and fears. Memories that can be changed due to circumstances. Recollections, can be faulty due to not having sufficient understanding or information.ℹ️
How many of our memories have changed since adulthood from childhood? and our perception of reality?
(Ezria) is an example of that. Many people said that they shipped Ezra and Aria together. But now they realize how messed up it all was.
Alison was not a horrible person. At least not intentionally or vindictively. She was a deeply traumatized hurt 😔 person who developed an addicted to control as a severe coping mechanism in her mind, she had to get control. She had to keep it , at all cost as a means to her survival.
Alison lived in poverty and squalor.
She could’ve left the country. She could’ve gone to Paris, but she stayed for the girls out of loyalty so she was always there to stay one step ahead of -A and protect them. The best she could.
Her actions speak for itself she could have betrayed all the liars told about the fact that Aria killed Shauna Mike knew about the whole plot to frame her for murder. Told the police that Melissa is the one who buried Bethany. So technically is a one who killed her. Alison could have put her brother (Jason) away in prison for life because he started the NAT club She actively consciously walked away from the girls when Shauna was holding a gun to her so she would be the only one to get shot.
She could’ve stayed holding onto Spencer or make Emily keep using her body to shield her, but she didn’t. She walked away from them. So she would be the only casualty.
Didnt Melissa bury Alison or Bethany alive????
