- Sean the TNPr and I take you up to Grand Teton National Park on the BMW K1600GT and the Yamaha FJR, another TNP Moto adventure. We weren't too sure we'd get in with heavy car traffic we'd seen. But things take a turn for the good and it works out. Truly epic mountains here in WY. The audio and the weather is perfect on this ride...finally.
Topics discussed: best bikes for grand touring like this, Class B RVs vs Truck Campers vs Travel Trailers, the ineffective Covid shots, movie Anecdotals, Sean's crashed/fixed FJR, winter riding, our elk friend we pull up next too, wind protection, crap food we ate, how dudes don't lane filter in UT (with?), how a powerful Moto is safer, CanAm three wheelers, Teton's lakes, off road Mercedes RVs, Jeremy Clarkson, British Caravanning, getting a homebuilt aircraft like an RV4, flying into Jackson Hole, hotel prices in Jackson Hole, how JH is very Hollywood-ized and more. Another slightly boring but meaty TNP motorcycle adventure brought to you by TNP motorcyclists of which there are many!
It's been 10 minutes into the video, and I want to play a drinking game. Every time Sean says "yeah" take a drink.
I tried that with WranglerStar and the word “Grandpa/Grand-Dad/Grandfather” and I nearly died
Lol. Read this comment now I cant unhear the constant yyyeep, yeah, yeahhhh, yepp
@@joshowens2219agreed
I made it 15 min lol
Too sweet,,,,,thanks for showing,,,,,best way to explore...
Hey Nut'n! There's nothing boring about this video to me, makes me feel like I'm on the ride with you guys. I'll be car camping at Jenny Lake for a week next month, and wish I was on my old bike (Honda Valkyrie got totaled in my driveway by a guy who lost control of his car at high speed). But the cool thing about your video is I'm hoping to get a new 2024 K1600GT later this year, and watching your ride and listening to you talk about that bike really stirred me up. THANK YOU. Can't wait for new long distance riding adventures!
Wow, brings back memories. Took the family out there many years back. Think we ate at the same BBQ place. Wow, great times. Thanks Nutn'
If you did regular motovlogs, I'd definitely watch em but, it's up to you of course, don't force yourself into it if you don't really feel like it. The view of those mountains and wide open field, total blue sky and sun shining is freaking jaw dropping. 😌😳💥 I am drooling here. 😁 I was in the mountains of upstate NY for 4 years as a kid back in the 80s and have very fond memories, especially after a snowstorm dropped 3-5 feet of snow, but the next day total blue skies, sun shining, a winter wonderland was seen, with sun glistening off the snow on the trees; I could see another mountain range 30+ miles away. My brother and I would walk 5 miles just to get to a tiny store. Yeah, and we loved it. 😁
I plan on moving to a southern State soon, maybe within 2 years. Will be practicing my bushcraft skills when I get out there, in the mountains. I am in Virginia at the moment, came in 2008 from NYC. Now in suburbs. Not into it. I need the mountains or woods. 😁
Colonel love your work, just to emphasize upon you and other’s that actual real people died in so called scamdemic, young and old. Thank you for sharing your love of nature.
MORE OF THIS NUTN!!! LOVE RIDE AND EATS!!
Lived and worked in jackson in 2012-2013 great place. Still have a good friend there. Nice too see the town again
Used to work at “cowboy village resort “ great place to stay as you get your own little cabin .
Oh no a BMW. Next is the early bird specials and AARP. Love ya Nutn.
I have always loved the motorcycle content!
loved bikes since I was kid. family could never afford motorcycles, so only had bmx/bicycles as a kid. soon as I could afford a motorcycle myself, bought a CR125. that opened up my addiction to motorcycles from GSX-R's to Ducati to now, dual sports. thanks for sharing the ride.
Beautiful ❤view❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Aren't you the prepper/knives/guns/camping guy? I think I remember watching your stuff years ago...
When I wasn't a rider. Now I am, and holy crap am I glad I found this channel again. Epic video. Thanks.
I don’t ride, never thought how enjoyable this would be to watch. 💯💯💯
The two way audio is awesome, and it doesn't look like your using your phone for audio, or are you? The Elk was awesome!
Wow. So great.
Love the motorcycle content ❤
Ride down to Laguna Seca this year for the MC races in July. We have a plug in camper spot you can camp at. There's showers, plenty of places for a tent. We usually have a couple riders coming down from Washington state & Oregon.
Looks like a great ride sir.
Keep going until you get to Canada Nutn! We would love to see you adventure up here in the North!
Fantastic quality! Love the content.
I enjoy your motorcycle videos Nut!
One of my wife's favorite places !
Ohhh heck yeah, picked up a over time shift at the rehab and got this CLASSIC nutenfancy adventure to help
Good stuff Uncle Nutn!!
Hi guys. I'm a proud owner of an FJR1300a, that I refer to as my Japanese Mistress. It's a 2013 model that had less than 2900 miles on it when I bought it. Now I'm at over 76,000 miles on the odometer. I have a secret weapon btw that makes my ride even quieter and more enjoyable. My secret is the Bose Noise canceling wired ear buds. Plugged into an in line amplifier and Bluetooth transmitter, I can stream music, nav information, an Audible book.....
I'm 63 now so just under 500 miles a day is my limit now, but five years ago I would do a 700 mile day, followed by 300-400 mile days. In 2016 riding from Atlanta to Seattle I logged 952 miles in one day from Peoria, Illinois to Rapid City, S.D.
It's so great to experience the weather variations and different times of the day to ride in. My favorite is late evening a couple hours before sundown, because the hair often has a special smell to it.
BTW, I too have ridden to Jackson Hole, but it was early August and there wasn't a hotel room to be had, and I did have all my camping equipment but the local campgrounds had shut down because of grizzly bear activity. So south I headed quickly but I did really enjoy the ride up there though. I came out of Salt Lake City and caught highways 189 and 191, and then 89 into Jackson, where I had lunch. Then on the way back I stayed over in Rock Springs on my way to Colorado. The pronghorns are thick at night on the roads of Wyoming. I high-tailed it to Rock Springs to get there before dark.
A great experience though. I'd do a trip with you guys, and am always looking for other adventurers to share a ride and a beer with.
Tell us more about the k1600gt please !
Love the content ! 👍🏻
Miss jackson hole. Cant wait to go up again.
Loved riding my Vstrom all over (max day was over 800 miles) but agree that the 650 was pretty gutless. That’s why the 1000 was born!
We were up in Jackson hole the hole sure came out. Overpriced, overrun by way too many yuppies that don’t think. Traffic was a total joke.
You are pointing out class C rigs! The B are built into a van.
We went from a 21 foot bumper pull to a 30 foot 5th wheel. Over all 6 feet longer but major better for towing and staying out for months at a time.
Looked like fun Nutn! Stay safe
Love the motovlogs
I like this one nutn good times 👍
I was in Jackson Hole as a boy around 1980. As a German tourist actually 😁 ! The view of the Tetons is magic.
Thank you, excited to watch
I don't ride, I just enjoy wholesome content
Those mountain views are just beautiful. I want to make it out to Jackson Hole one day.
Nutn I’ll watch any Moto video you put out. I haven’t missed one yet. Keep up the adventures. An FJR is definitely in my future
I'll always watch hiking/ moto/ car from ya Nutn, Got into your channel in 2010 with a RRA review, and keep to it. CC a G43, ride a Goldwing 1800. Keep up the vids! Haven't seen a Vette vid in a few years!
Hey fyi, the type of RV you are referring to is actually class C. think cab over. they put them on 1 ton truck chassis similar to a slide in truck camper but bigger bc they replace the bed which saves on production costs. they are also larger and usually cheaper than class Bs like the mercedes or conversion vans which are smaller and often more expensive than class Cs. i do agree, Cs are the best bang for the buck except for a travel trailer which you tow. class As are the largest bus like motor homes. thanks for the scenic ride
While Jackson sure has changed...the scenery sure hasn’t!
Nice!
Excellent video sir. The guys on scooters though, I've done it. It's a lot of fun riding on minimal equipment and making the best of it together. Check out the scooter cannonball run sometime.
I have everything from 49cc scoots to goldwing and a Spyder. I have more fun on smaller bikes and even rode an iron butt on my Zuma 125. One day I hope to ride in the cannonball
Love the Tetons, stayed at the Grand Targhee Resort many summers ago.
Fried Okra and a long ride are mortal enemies.
Been waiting for a bike stable update!
Moto content 👍🏻 💯
Love mey GTL, but as they say BMW stands for Bring More Wallett. My 18K service is 2K. I went up to Beartooth Pass about 6 weeks ago, great bike for long distance. I also owned a FJR and went up to BC from Mesa AZ. The bike never missed a beat great bikes. Stay upright. Great Video
i have been to jackson hole and teton village in 2019. what a beautiful and amazing place
Been a while, what happened to the 1190? I still have mine, going strong.
A whole new world for nutnfancy maga boy!
I ate at that Wendy’s too headed through there. It’s a known quantity as far as fast food goes. One of the few that doesn’t freeze their hamburger.
Fjr1300 was sold colonel ?
Love it!
My father had built 3 Airplanes, BABY GREAT LAKES, SONERI 1 and 2 memorable moments ❤️
We're paying $4.15/gal for 91 non ethanol in Vermont at 10-23-23
More vlogs!
Is this recent or was this from a while back?
Id have to camp out but I guess if you split 240 a night it s not too bad
Love that area. Ride to that place, amongst many others, once a year from NJ. That being said, I never ever stay in Jackson Hole. Place is over priced. I love camping at lake Jenny tho.
No lane filtering? Do it anyway..
If you come thru star valley , I’ll cook you a fabulous steak dinner
Anyone read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance?
78 viewers!
Jackson’s hole ain’t cheap.
These vids are my jam thanks nutn! Im french canadian so i laughed good at tetons titties loll
Had a bike in Utah for a few months. Some of the worst drivers I've ever come across. Sold it before I died.
$240 a night or $40 cash an hour lol
Machine Design these days is with the intention of making the buyer replace more stuff than ought to be necessary. Get in tune with the Right To Repair movement. Apple is one of the biggest offenders, I know because I've been an Independent Apple Consultant for over 34 years. Who runs their Org is the CFO and Shareholders. You can no longer replace Drives, Ram, or Batteries yourself. Batteries, yeah you can if you want to disassemble the whole machine, de glue the battery, pull it, then replace and re-glue, and you might ask WTF??!! Why glue it in? Didn't used to be that way, well, ask Apple's money guys, they can never get enough!!!!
Lane splitting is dangerous & selfish biker b/s. It only made 'any' sense when all bikes were air cooled. As that is no longer the case, there is zero reason to pander to bikers & risk everyones safety.
you should try fasting, autophagy may help heal and restore your smell.
greetings from germany.
48 hours magic number. Idk about the smell though, good idea.
The K 1600 GT is my dream bike....did you say the cruise control is limited to 83 mph?
