  • Here's where we get down to business! In this and subsequent parts, I do a high detail breakdown of my Vehicle Bug Out Kit build. Like my other survival kit concept videos, this will give you a huge peace of mind once you have it. You'll be on the road with your other "insurance policy" which will prep you for today's clown world.
    But we're also here to have a fun time and this Part 2 will deliver. Here we'll talk about how funny YOU guys are and I'll reference some of your items sent. They are on display here in the TNP Bunker.
    Then I change things a little bit and make our requirements a little more stringent: how far and for how long should you plan/build your VBOK? Initially it was for 4 days. Fitness and my incredible potato chip workout routine are discussed. Also the realities of 'Bugging In" are reiterated here...yes you might have to do it in the truck too.
    Container choice is an interesting discussion, perhaps something you have not put a lot of thought into. But since the donor clubhouse voted for HIGH detail we take that fun detour here. Then I'll show a bit of the lighting, weaponry, and tool choices of the Nutnfancy VBOK as we break it open. Since our needs are mostly the same as my USK, DSK, and BOK concepts, you'll see interpretations of the same here. Anti-theft also discussed.

    I’ve had to use my VBOK before… I was spring bear hunting early April in the mountains and got my truck stuck 7-9 miles off the highway. Tried to dig it out for awhile before I decided to abandon it. Grabbed my rifle and my vbok and took off. Hiked a few hours through the night and called a good buddy when I got to service to come pick me up. My headlamp was the only thing I used from the kit but I was glad to have the items just in case. I could have easily spent the night but it made sense to hike. Glad I was in great shape!

    I like the diaper bag camo idea. Something to consider, look broke.... don't travel in high threat areas looking like a loot drop. Used dickies jacket, blue jeans, and a diaper bag might get you through unimpeded.

    Every time I listen to bug out kit discussion I ALWAYS think to my time backpacking. The best bug out kit is a light weight backpacking setup. Also some of the best way to get a little exercise and experience is backpacking.
    Maybe over size the bag a bit for extra weapon related stuff, but otherwise almost exactly the same setup for an easy 3-7 days of supplies.
    Maybe just go a little cheaper on the stuff since the likelihood of use is fairly low.
    Just checkout the backpacking recommendation lists.

    Love these videos Nutn. Thank you for continuing to put them out. A tip for others here that I got from your older BOK video.....if you have a back/foot/ankle/knee/hip problem, buy a small FOLDING LUGGAGE CART. At least while you're on paved roads or smoother trails, you can use it to pull your Kelty Backpack behind you and save some stress on your injured joints. You may not be able to use it at all or very little if you have to move straight into the mountains, but it is worth it's weight in gold if you do need it.

    Old school TNP vehicle camo, baby blankets, one most people don't want to steal a diaper bag; and two, I forgot how much crap you have to lug around for babies, have some baby clothes and a tiny baby bottle with some corn starch and water to throw on the seat, and boom you look like an overwhelmed parent, and a car seat can be modified to become a great fast action container for guns and ammo. Not a lot of people will mess with a car with a baby seat in it.
    Bonus point for fake French fries in the seat, negative for real French fries in the seat. 👍

    Cautionary tale: I drove into a ditch and got stuck in a crazy, crazy snowstorm. Visibility didn't extend past my hood and I lost the road. The truck went into a drift about 6 feet deep and was stuck. That's when I remembered my VBOK was... on the floor in my office at home because I was updating it. I was with my wife and daughter and completely unprepared. MAKE SURE IT'S IN YOUR VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES! It was a horrible feeling.

    Totally get the fecal matter deal but something that would work really well is one of those diaper bag backpacks. They are generally small but you'd be surprised how much you can fit in there. Wouldn't be able to fit a higher caliber firearm in most but if you did get a 5 inch 300 blackout upper with a law folding adapter you might just be able to make it happen. Just realize if you go this route it would be a minimalist rig which would work pretty well in an urban setting.

    Afternoon Nunfancy,
    I will spare you my bio only to say that I literally NEVER sign into applications but felt you should be recognized. I have been in this field a long time...since the 9/11 attacks and the public response to said event. I have gone through hundreds of bullshit tacticool operators...all with very real credentials but still wiping thier assholes with the oath. You are one of the ONLY people in the USA that actually understands the realistic middle ground of how to grow as a human instead of just trying to protect 'murica and only 'murica. I just want to say that I know our numbers are few and that "Americans" have lost this war...but humans still have a chance and I personally appreciate you being a human for all of us. This is THRONE WARFARE Ladies and Gentlemen. If you do not hold the throne than someone else will ALWAYS claim it. It is literally that simple, God or no God. Stay safe as I suspect people like yourself will be the sensible representative when we have to contract with these "Chosen" after the fall...

    I have experience of bugging out and moving through war areas. Nutn is giving very good advices. Most difficult choice is when it is time to move and in which direction. You Most probably won't get clear information about dangers ahead. Many people died due to haste and lack of leadership in their families. Aĺl tactical staff is not appropriate if you are not in military! Being in some traveling group is not a bad idea. I saw people helping each other and that humanity was surprising in given circumstances. Remember that your big track is not a fortress but good target, bullets and shrapnel peirce it through very well. Weapons is ambiguous: maybe hidden pistol is better choice then AR, you are not on patrol mission! Be safe and good luck to everybody.

      Well, let's see....the Communists are about to seize all of Donald Trump's private property based on false charges, they are destroying the NRA right now with a same approach, Biden's DOJ just arrested the FBI whistleblower who exposed him, the United States is being filled with millions of illegal aliens coming from Marxist regimes who are here to overthrow us, the entire mainstream media is working to overthrow America, our military, intelligence agencies and FBI are all run by Marxist revolutionaries who are secretly working with the CCP, our elections are a total sham because electronic fraud voting machines are everywhere, thanks to Globalist GW Bush, and our culture is completely disintegrating because of a successful, long term subversion campaign by the Marxist-Left to destroy us from within. And everyone is pinning their hopes on Trump overcoming the entire voting fraud system to win to save us (sometimes, people can outvote fraud, so it's still worth voting, but it's not looking good).
      Any questions? Things are going to go haywire in the next 1-2 years. Us older former military dudes like Nutn and I have known about this coming communist takeover before most of you were born. That's why it's all the older guys who started all the original prep channels. People were just too comfortable and let them get too deep into the govt. Now, it's probably too late at the federal govt level. However, VOTE hard in your state and local elections. They STILL matter.
      Expect a real life "Red Dawn" soon. Bank account seizures, property seizures, IRS raids and audits, phony charges against dissidents, forced labor, death camps, military action using illegal aliens as soldiers against Americans, food blockades to patriot areas, medical aid and supply blockades, drone strikes and FBI raids against patriot leader homes, internet and phone blackouts in patriot areas just before they send the woke/illegal alien military in against us, you name it.
      It's going to get insanely ugly. Prep hard with food, water purification, meds, solar, bicycle, enduro bike, extra gas and/or diesel, cash, metals, etc. Diversify by keeping your stuff in many different places so that a single raid won't wipe you out.
      If they steal the next federal elections, expect them to take all three branches. If they do, they will just arrest Clarence Thomas and other SCOTUS judges and replace them with communists. When that happens, they will for sure outlaw the 2nd Amendment and the right to free speech. If a judge says they are wrong, they will just arrest him/her or outright kill them. This is what communists do, and have ALWAYS done. They are crazy, evil and fearless.
      Oh, and expect them to start paying off your neighbors to turn you in because you bragged about your prepper food and gun collection to them.
      The ONLY safe haven will be in deep Red State rural/suburban areas where there is a large community of like minded people. Where at least the local and state governments can act as a firewall. They will hold for a time, but will eventually fall after the woke military is brought in to crush them. That's when it's D-Day for everyone and life as we know it will end, potentially forever.
      Get right with God, get closer with other patriots and your family and friends, and enjoy every day from now on as if it's your last. Hell is marching towards us and time is running out.
      God bless the Republic while it still stands....
      John

    I have tons and tons of stuff and flashlights that run on 18650s. An Olight baton variation was my first nice flashlight probably 10 years ago now, and I have steadfastly continued to use them and simply replace them when I destroy them due to my own abuse, or have no issues with warranty in the few cases I've needed it.
    The main reasons I like them (the only light that fit these criteria when I originally picked them):
    1. Fits great in the pocket and the clip works well, form factor is great.
    2. Nice area light for working on stuff, great output for size.
    3. Great magnetic tailcap that securely holds the light in place (especially under the hood of a car).
    4. Standard 18650 was fully compatible with any other 18650 and I could charge them outside of the light so I had zero downtime and stock any type of backup battery I liked. Could also use two CR123a batteries in a pinch, which I kept with my things.
    NUMBER 4 is NO LONGER APPLICABLE WITH THE LATEST GENERATION.
    I am SUPER disappointed about this. Didn't realize it at first, until I tried to swap an older standard (still protected) 18650 into it and it DIDN'T WORK. While the newer batteries are still standard size, the light itself now ONLY USES THE DUAL POLARITY TERMINALS ON TOP. I honestly probably would not have bought the new ones had I known this. Even the last generation that used the dual polarity terminals on the normally positive end for the purpose of charging was still internally connected to ground on the other end of the light! They reversed the orientation of the battery and now DO NOT USE THE REGULAR NEGATIVE END TO POWER THE LIGHT INTERNALLY.
    This may seem like a stupid thing to be so upset about, but my goodness I was ready to cry when I found this out!
    Not only does this rope you into using only Olight batteries, but it's probably only something that people like us will be upset about. This is the same gripe I have about not being able to swap out my phone batteries so there was no charging downtime like I used to be able to, not to mention having plenty of spares readily available! Now, if I decide to keep using this light in my systems, I have to swap my inventory to only Olight batteries.
    I could probably ultimately live with that, but because these batteries now have positive and negative in close proximity, they may not work correctly in other lights or items! And that's best case. Worst case, if the internal protection doesn't work properly or they make and break contact, they could be a big fire hazard.
    Sorry for my rant, but this was very sneaky of Olight now that they developed themselves into such a large and profitable company based on what people like us had to say about them and their use of quality Cree LEDs in addition to my list above. It seems now that they have the masses buying them, they've decided to go the way of the phone and laptop and other "tech" manufacturers.
    Anyways, that is all. If anyone can recommend a similar light that will still use a standard 18650, please do.
    Also, thank you nutn for another great video!

    • @ClaytheBMXer
      @ClaytheBMXer 6 месяцев назад

      Not to sound like a broken record here. But I should add that 99.999999% of the time I charge my flashlights batteries in one of my multiple charging docks, and simply pop in a charged battery. Olight doesn't even offer an external charger anymore! The used to sell the batons with an additional adapter sleeve and two Cr123s and a charging dock for like 80 bucks! I think I bought 3 of those kits, plus an additional gen 2 charging dock later on!

  • @chaffiebombs
    @chaffiebombs 6 месяцев назад

    I love my olights. Had them for years. My biggest gripe is that normal 18650s like Samsung or other standard sized 18650 cells don’t work in them without engineering yourself some freakin foil in between the contacts. Olight 18650 contact point on positive side in particular extends out. Still love them and run them. Just if ur goin for more 18650 cells buy the olight brand ones

    Love that Jetfire Nutn! To me, the ultimate tiny backup bugout gun is the Kel Tec P32, at least back when you could still buy the Kel Tec 10 round mags for them. The P32 actually weighs less than the Jetfire, has a safer (but light) double action trigger, is accurate, and with 11 rounds of Underwood Xtreme Defender 55gr +P 32 ACP rounds, you have gun that has over twice the muzzle energy and causes hollow point-like damage that hits FBI penetration specs in tests around RUclips. Sadly, Kel Tec stopped making the 10 round extended mags a couple of years ago, and they are nearly impossible to find used. If you find them, they are going for over a $100 or more. Still, even without the 10 round mags, the P32 holds 7+1 and hits harder than a 25ACP.

    My electronics EDC/emergency kit has 2 usb-c cables and some usb-c to other connection type adapters and doesn't take up any weight or room when just those items. Allows me to keep any USB chargable device with a common connector charged. There's more to my kit, but that is the basics, along with AC & DC chargers.

    The Silky saws are better then the one you got in your pack. There is probably a reason the brand you got went out of business and Silky Saws keep rising up. Another good one is the Agawa Canyon or Boreal. Those are designed similiar to yours but the Silky design is better overall you can cut in tricky places and bigger logs where as with the one you got and Agawa you are limited to the size of the saws frame. One benefit though for the Agawa or the one you got is that the blades are cheaper and easier to find. Thanks for the video!

    Anyway ive got an Kelty Redwing 50 and its an decent pack and large enough. You will like the Silky saw and for wood cutting it miles more efficient and faster to get in action than the Sawvivor. There Silky can cut much larger wood, and do it faster.

    Great kit nuttin! I need to get my kits sorted out! I do have a tps scout rifle .357/.410 (and 22lr insert) in a little pack, think it, my EDC, and a j frame .357 will be my VBOC setup! It’s not much but 357/.410 buckshot will be better than nothing, I do keep a couple mora Knifes in the truck, plus a hatchet. Thanks for all the ideas!

      Those are great woods guns, and may be ideal if you only have to bug out straight into the woods. But that TPS is a very poor self defense weapon if you run into some armed crazies on the way home. At the least, I would integrate some type of high capacity semi-auto rifle or pistol into your kit. Even a Glock with 15-17 round mag along with your TPS would help even the odds. Because even 2-3 bad guys with Glocks are going to flank you while you're reloading that 6-shooter. We know from US Military history that higher capacity has always been the deciding factor in battles going back to the 1800s. It's why despite the stopping power of the 45 Long Colt, and even when revolvers where well developed, that the US Army immediately adopted the Colt 1911 45 ACP due to it's higher capacity and rate of fire with reloading factored in.

      I totally agree, currently I keep hk usp compact in the truck/in lockbox, and my edc bag I normally have a 357 jframe or CSX 9mm, I’ve been trying to carry sp101 on strong side here lately and CSX at appendix, so one way or another I should have a semiautomatic 9mm. I like the idea of the VBOC tho and going to try and set it up with TPS, I think your right tho would be good to write off a .357 jframe and some sort of 9mm in that kit.

    Hmmmm, my money is on Nutn carrying an SU-16C in his VBOK in the next video:) There's probably no other gun like it out there for this application. Sadly, the rumor mill on the Kel Tec forums are saying the SU-16 series may be discontinued soon just like they did with a bunch of their other legacy firearms in the recent past (P3AT, PF9, P11, etc). Unless Kel Tec replaces the SU-16 with an improved version like they did with the SUB2K, it will be a huge loss. I predict it will become extremely collectable if it does. No one else has ever made a 4.7lb folding stock 5.56 rifle that takes standard AR mags for just $550, and I doubt that anyone will again in the future because of clown world of lawsuits that will be filed by the comrades. I'd say get one now while you still can.

    For hiding stuff in plain sight: make a wooden box, drill small holes in it (3/8ths or so), add a locking latch on the lid, and then label it “Venomous Snakes, Do Not Open!”

    Though a .25 isnt what I would personally defer to, and arguably underpowered, it is actually deadly. A buddy of mine who was an off duty PO got into a gunfight with a armed robbery crew in a bar. He shot two of the three , killed on all the while he was struck 8 times with a .40 S&W. He won Officer of the Year. Its better than nothing and shot placement matters. The suspect who shot my buddy and coworker, walked the rounds up his leg so he survived. Check Dennis Devitte Las Vegas Metro PD.

    A back up pistol that doesn't match the ammo of the main pistol seems like a mistake.

    • @jackjohnson291
      @jackjohnson291 6 месяцев назад

      I mean, the back up is being used when the other is either empty or taken. I agree, but I’m also happy to make exceptions myself for that role. All my BOGs are either 380 or smaller, unless it’s a BOG to full kit (like a p365) in a pocket holster or something. In reality, I’d rather have an extra couple rifle mags for the weight in that situation. The only BOG in that situation that really makes sense to me is something like a NAA PUG or the like.

    • @JohnB-dr8sk
      @JohnB-dr8sk 6 месяцев назад

      @@jackjohnson291There's a huge reason why tiny hideout guns were so popular in the Old West despite people being able to open carry a full sized Colt revolver. They can be hidden in places where no other gun can be hidden. When someone says they see no need for these guns they are admitting that they have very limited CCW experience or experience as a police officer. Tiny but reliable backup guns like the Beretta Jetfire, Kel Tec P32 or NAA Mini Revolvers, are worth FAR more than a Glock that prints when you 100% cannot let anyone know you're carrying. As backup guns, they are way easier to hide than a Micro 9 like a P365. Biggest of all, they are LIGHT enough to be carried as a backup so they don't overweigh you during a long walk or hike. By carrying another 9mm even if small, it is 2-3 times the weight of a Beretta Jetfire, P32 etc.

If things get so bad that you have to abandon your vehicle, and you're too far away to get home safely, you're going to need to find a defendable spot, away from people, and hunker down for a while. In that case, you're going to need way more than you can carry. Especially in the winter (you know, like right after the election)
