I have been living in florida for a just about a year now and i have wanted to go gator huntin so bad and now i can start getting the right gear and liscenes for next season! That's man you just got a sub!
Thanks for the info. I live in Georgia. I applied for my 1 gator tag for this year and I hope to get drawn. I will be hunting in Grady county if I get lucky. I have a 7 ft Ugly stick that landed a 32 lb Stripper. I will use that rod. All the rest of the gear I need to get THANKS again.
I use a 300 Lb mono leader these days paired with a 60,80, or 100 Lb braid main line. The 60 Lb line cast very far and accurate, but when i overcast into the cattails I loose my hooks. I can get the hooks back almost everytime with 100 Lb line. 80 is in between.
Thanks for the comment Molly. I had my garage door open too and that added some weird reverb. I was shooting by myself while taking care of my 5 month old that day. I realized the audio quality was not my best work after I had completed shooting. After reviewing the footage, I felt like the content was good enough to overlook the audio quality. Most people searchings for Alligator gear can overlook traffic noise, baby noise, and reverb in order to learn. I hope people can continue to learn from this video and hopefully I have the time to find a more silent spot for the next video.

What rod do use? I may have missed that in the video. Like a med/heavy?

Glad you found some value in this! Good luck this year.
Took me five years in GA TO get drawn and took 4 trips to Seminole to get the gator
What pound test line is good for a fishing rod to catch an alligator

What shell did you use with the 12 ga bangstick?
Rayen Mahesh slugs only. Shot shells add risk of richochet and lots of processors won’t take gators harvested with shotshells.
to much traffic noise

@@BodieDrake i enjoyed the content very much. I could hear you very clearly, so the background noise was a non issue for me.
