Now we know why Lydia reacted the way she did when that baby cried inside Hilltop, the night before. She knows what happens to them when her mother is in charge.
It was such a good decision to have the baby be saved by a pretty minor character that they very well could have killed off in this episode. Just imagine if Daryl had picked the baby up instead. There would have been no tension at all during the scene in the corn field, because he is obviously making it out alive.

Characters being used WELL. (Finally) Relationships developing/building. A balance between horror/comedy/drama. Steven is right, there is always a mama/daughter bond. You see that in it's saddest form, because she's abused. Her mentality, "mama came for me." There had to be this, 'husband brought flowers after beating his wife' fleeting moment of feeling loved. Which is what abused people are conditioned to. She's really f'd up, Lydia. She needs away from her mom, but like most victims, she still wants her acceptance. Unit she realizes this, she stays in that cycle. So so sad.

I think even if Henry hadn't gone after Lydia, Daryl would have. I also sort of admire Henry (stupid or not) for leaving to rescue her. As for Connie, my God!!!! She was so amazing! Saving that baby like that! My heart was beating out Of my chest for that entire sequence. And then at the end when she says to Daryl, "I can't live with it either." She understands first hand just how evil these people are. Who does that to a baby ???!!!
So psycho how she can call Lydia her "dawwwwghter" but Lydia can't call her mama to her face!!! So messed up! I hope one day Alpha gets the "wrong answer"!!!
Jarrod Edson Damn, you got all these people riled up because of some spoilers yet they took the initiative to open the thread and whip up a response. Nice work! LOL.
I think from what Carol said about if “it gets any worse they’d talk to Jesus about taking the Kingdom in”, I think they’re struggling with food/supplies. And in an earlier episode Michonne said she “didn’t want to turn Carol down of all people”. So I think Michonne has stopped sending supplies in some way. But my guess is it’s something to do with Daryl and Michonne’s identical scars on their backs. And whatever happened to them is now the reason they try and stay inside their own community and don’t send help to others as much as they used to. And Michonne was assigned as Alexandria’s head of security after whatever happened to them! I don’t think Carol or anyone else even knows about the scars on their backs so she doesn’t understand why Michonne won’t help. I’m so interested to know what happened there. Very worried about Henry, Daryl and Connie (and Dog of course!). Being deaf in today’s world is overwhelming. But being deaf in an apocalypse where hearing walkers creeping up behind you can mean life or death, it must be pants shittingly terrifying! So Connie going with Daryl without someone there to sign for her is so brave! You can’t exactly stand there in an emergency with little notepads writing back and forth when you need to haul ass!! Love the reaction you guys! And Steven, lol so harsh about Lydia. She’s still a kid (I think) who’s been abused and suffering with Stockholm syndrome. It’s not a case of she’d rat out the Hilltop because she’s a liar, if she does, it’s because her mother abuses and manipulates her and gets the information she wants. I hope all come home alive, including Lydia at this point. And I swear if anything happens to Dog I will be bawling my eyes out along with Nikki! Love you guys. Hope you and your eldest daughter feeling better now by the way! 💙
Poor Nikki everyone knew the baby scene was going to get you but poor Ezekiel and Carol they don't know all that information but they also don't know their son just went after The Whispers
@@jarrodedson5441 obviously. But alpha isn't trying to win a mother of the year award. She is all about survival now. In her mind, this is now the dead's world. If you want to live, you play by their rules. It's wrong, it's disgusting,.. But it's also been extremely effective up to this point.
"She is all about survival now. In her mind, this is now the dead's world. If you want to live, you play by their rules." What I wonder about, is why she allows one of the group to bring her baby along? If the idea is to blend in with the dead, she would have to know how much of a liability a baby is likely to be. Of course they will cry, and often at the least inconvenient moments, attracting attention and blowing their cover with both the walkers and living humans alike. It's kind of like that mom we all love to hate, that brings her baby to a very loud rated R or PG-13 movie, without any clue that their baby will probably *not* stay silent the entire 90-120+ minutes.
I was soooooooooooo worried about Jerry too!! Children and Animals Rule, People!!! I'm totally loving the Whisperers...never read the comics, but feels like the show is playing them well.
Understanding why the king and Jerry wanted the bulb is too understand outside your life. You had to listen to what they were saying about what to live for and what seeing a movie gives hope, builds memory. You can do this anytime you want and you take it for granted. This is valuing the little things in life. Taking time to smell the roses.
Nikki & Steven from what Tara explained in this episode I think we already know what Michonne did. She cut her community off from the others and wouldn't help them, which is why Tara took those supplies ( "To help her friends" ) and bounced/relocated from Alexandria to The Hilltop. What we don't know is what happened to Michonne and Daryl that caused her to stop caring about/helping her friends. Also Carol & Ezekiel etc don't know about his death because it's only been two/three days since he was killed.
Beta wasn't the one who killed Jesus. The guy who killed Jesus was a random Whisperer. In the graphic novels Beta's a former NBA player who's around 7 feet tall. On the show, he's being played by Ryan Hurst (from Sons Of Anarchy). Beta will make his first appearance on the next episode.
This episode asks the question "Who is the bigger threat to Hilltop? Is it the Whisperers or Henry with his stupid decision after stupid decision?" I think it might be dumbass Henry.
STRAIGHT EDGE key words... SEE BETTER... NOT...READ BETTER my father has Cataracts so he had surgery 2 c better but he still needs reading glasses 2 read papers or view his computer screen. Also, my sister before her stroke used 2 wear glasses 2 drive but after her stroke she's partially blind in her left eye. So there's a very big difference when it comes 2 seeing objects in the dark then reading in the dark.
To be fair to Henry he has Carl storyline and he did something similar plus no stop a 15 year old with a hard on he's not thinking with the big brain right now he's sprung on some young whisperer tail he's......well u get😉

Luke and Connie would fit in so well at the Kingdom. I just want a happy goofy comedy set in the Kingdom where no one ever dies in the apocalypse anymore. I care about them all too much. Also the actress who plays Alpha is also in a show called Harlots. It's insane seeing her in this role after that. She looks so different.
I think you forgot about it but Carol already knows the whole thing about the Whisperers, she was there when Jesus died! The scenes where Carol and ezekiel were in the cinema were also flashbacks .
I meant rot until the can’t walk anymore. 😘 It’s an infestation. I guess you could light the zombies on fire in pits and leave them to burn. It just seems to me years later into the apocalypse that it’s past the time for the dead to still be walking. I can see conflict etc between the living like we have always had. I really like the zombie makeup and creativity, but I just think realistically at this point the living would have disposed of most of the dead, like Morgan clears. I know I don’t think I could sleep until the majority of walkers in my area were disposed of like vermin. Really really big vermin. 🧟♀️
Holy crap! That was bold as shit, with the attempt at the baby offering. I really thought they (amc) was gonna go thru with it. I teared-up, but man, that was a crazy, tension - filled scene. I love Connie, but please ppl, don't start shipping Daryl & Connie. I hate that shit. If it happens, it happens, but come on!!! I know it's going to happen, tho. lol The new threat - Alpha & the Whisperers - are cool, but I like the whole mystery of this season. Trying to figure out why Michonne is ostricized...I still think it has something to do with RJ, and not so much Rick. And what are the *X* scar's about...branding, perhaps?; another community's threat during the time skip?; a *surgical* scar? Norman Reedus is killin' it, this season. 😊❤️
I think The Kingdom scenes are taking place while Jesus is still alive, before anyone knows about The Whisperers and not in sync with whats going on with Hilltop in the present.
In the graphic novels, Lydia & Carl are the ones with the romantic arc. The scene on the show where Lydia sucks the worm & gives it to Henry to eat went much differently in the books. In the books Lydia licks Carl's eye socket & then takes his virginity. Also, in the graphic novels Alpha is much more vicious than on the show. She allows the male Whisperers to rape Lydia. They won't include that to the storyline of the show. I'm sure Nikki will be happy that it won't be a part of the show.
Sadly I feel like a lot of the rape culture within the whisperers will be left out or only hinted at on the show to avoid controversy but overall they are still doing a decent job. I'd rather get a decent story arc than a story arc that falls flat halfway through and ends in the worst way possible like the comics
@@Tusc9969 they will allude to it, but it will be subtle. Instead they used the baby to show how unemotional and animalistic the Whisperer's are. I found it terrifying, so I guess it worked. Judging from other peoples comments on the internet, I feel like with this particular storyline, the comic fans will have more emotional pull for certain characters and the reasons they make the decisions they do, then television fans, because the comic fans will just assume the darker aspects of the Whisperer culture to be there. I knew Lydia would go back, but I was heartbroken that she did, and I know everybody finds Henry annoying, but because of the comics, I feel like she's told him about their way of life in more depth off camera, and so I was happy he left to try and rescue her from it.
Henry! Henry! Henryyyyyy!!!!! SMH. Ughhh!!! Outstanding episode. We all see how extreme and merciless Alpha can be. Can't wait to see Beta. Love your reactions!!!
Enid’s Easter egg when she was talking to Henry, she said she saw her parents die in 6x2 “JSS” then she told Carl to just survive somehow then she said to Henry survive somehow
ps. If Steven is right and that sign is "Alpha" or Whisperers marking, that just unknowingly, stepped into "their" territory. That can't be good. p.s.s. Lydia has their address. *angrily stabs a table like Arya*
Given the recurring theme of parenthood, does anyone else think Daryl will eventually wind up adopting Lydia and/or Henry? Aaron's fatherhood remark about Daryl back at the beginning of the season all but guarantees Daryl will experience that.
Henry still has Carol and Ezekiel, but I'm thinking Daryl may become like a father/older brother figure to Lydia. I'd certainly like to see Daryl in that role, maybe with Connie as his romantic interest or psuedo mom to Lydia. I also have a feeling her deafness was caused by an injury due to abuse or her deafness caused some sort of abuse that's just a vibe I got at the end when she said she couldn't live with it either
Tammy & Earl got a new baybeh. Omega aka Lydia went back to Alpha which sucked, but then, she seems like she's walking the neutral line. Aaaand Beta's coming in a few days. Cheers for Opie!~
I wonder if Daryl would have told Alpha that Lydia didn't want to come back with her abusive ass, would it have made a difference? Even have Lydia to go say it in person. Alpha probably would have said, "Well I'm keeping/or/killing Aldin and Luke until you do come back. Its a shitty situation no matter what I guess. I really wish Daryl would have at least said it out loud to her though. LOL! Also, they had to make The Whisperers worse than Negan for it to be a new threat and you know Negan would have never hurt a baby or a child. I think that's why the mom nor Alpha didn't give a flying f**k about leaving the baby! Sorry ass people! They aren't even people, they truly are animals like Alpha said!
I agree. Negan would never let that happen. He's even against raping women. Remember he killed the guy who was going to rape Sasha? I have a feeling he is going to save Judith from the Whispers and redeem himself

As for Connie, my God!!!! She was so amazing! Saving that baby like that! My heart was beating out
Of my chest for that entire sequence. And then at the end when she says to Daryl, "I can't live with it either."
She understands first hand just how evil these people are. Who does that to a baby ???!!!
So psycho how she can call Lydia her "dawwwwghter" but Lydia can't call her mama to her face!!! So messed up! I hope one day Alpha gets the "wrong answer"!!!
Well if they follow the comics she will get decapitated by negan
@@jarrodedson5441 Fuck off with the spoilers. Fucking Hell.
@@jarrodedson5441 Fuck off !!
Jarrod Edson Damn, you got all these people riled up because of some spoilers yet they took the initiative to open the thread and whip up a response. Nice work! LOL.
Daryl and that deaf woman (i don't remember her name) at the end... i think there will be something between them. Feels like it. And i do like it! ^^
Her name is Connie! :)
at least she cant nag Daryl lol
I do too. I hope they end up together
connie was so good
the actress that plays alpha is doing a great job!
"Pull your boob out and feed the kid." Nikki is such a mom. 💗💗💗
Am I the only one that got goose bumps at the thought of Connie and Darryl will be a kick@$$ couple?
Nope. I thought so to. It's high time Daryl gets a lady
Connie=MVP of the episode,I LOVE her!!
Fans...Negan is horrible ,Alpha...Hold my beer
Hey!
When Alpha punches her, that just made me mad
Zane M I can't believe Daryl didn't do something right then
They better not kill Daryl's dog next episode, I noticed the dog went with him and the deaf girl at the end
well... if it's a male dog the leftist writers surely will : a) kill him for being male or b) relegate him as the baby's pet
i ship Daryl and Connie :D
I was sceptic about the actrice of Alpha, but seeing her chill body language while talking has sold me over
Poor Nikki everyone knew the baby scene was going to get you but poor Ezekiel and Carol they don't know all that information but they also don't know their son just went after The Whispers
Save that Baby! Kept repeating that over and over. Great reaction guys G,day from Australia 👍
"You got a baby! You got a baby! Everyone's getting a baby!!" (a la Oprah)
When Enid was talking about knowing someone who showed her that just surviving wasn't living she was talking about Glenn I thought.
What sealed the deal was her slapping Lydia. That's what made Henry call to action....
Alpha is a TERRIBLE mother
@@jarrodedson5441 obviously. But alpha isn't trying to win a mother of the year award. She is all about survival now. In her mind, this is now the dead's world. If you want to live, you play by their rules. It's wrong, it's disgusting,.. But it's also been extremely effective up to this point.
@@BenTIStudios
Fair point but they're phycopaths
@@jarrodedson5441 hah! Think we all agree on that!
"She is all about survival now. In her mind, this is now the dead's world. If you want to live, you play by their rules."
What I wonder about, is why she allows one of the group to bring her baby along? If the idea is to blend in with the dead, she would have to know how much of a liability a baby is likely to be. Of course they will cry, and often at the least inconvenient moments, attracting attention and blowing their cover with both the walkers and living humans alike.
It's kind of like that mom we all love to hate, that brings her baby to a very loud rated R or PG-13 movie, without any clue that their baby will probably *not* stay silent the entire 90-120+ minutes.
When the new characters were introduced, I wasn’t sure how to feel about them. But the more I see of them, the more I’m starting to love them.
I love how everyone is moving their heads with the music
good song!!
I was soooooooooooo worried about Jerry too!!
Children and Animals Rule, People!!!
I'm totally loving the Whisperers...never read the comics, but feels like the show is playing them well.
When I watched the baby scene for myself, all I could think was "oh shit, Nikki's gonna freak out!" 😂💝
I was like really they're letting the walkers have the baby are you kidding me.
Noticed how they brought back Jesus in 3 episodes?😇
They knew that would be a meme
He was only back for a flash back.... thats it.
“SHUT UP HENRY!” 🤣🤣🤣
Understanding why the king and Jerry wanted the bulb is too understand outside your life. You had to listen to what they were saying about what to live for and what seeing a movie gives hope, builds memory. You can do this anytime you want and you take it for granted. This is valuing the little things in life. Taking time to smell the roses.
Girlfriend you 'cracked' me up! EVERYONE'S A WALKER, lol!!!!!!!
I NEED Negan to meet the Whisperer NOW!!!!!
Im here
Yes! He will protect Judith
Seeing notification from you always brings a smile to my face and maybe a little cheer!
@@garyraja I can't wait
This episode asks the question "Who is the bigger threat to Hilltop? Is it the Whisperers or Henry with his stupid decision after stupid decision?" I think it might be dumbass Henry.
If the Whispers are true to their word, hard for me to believe, then there should be no conflict after the trade. Henry is a clear threat to everyone.
"Pull your boob out, feed the kid" i had to subscribe after you said that, lol
Can someone explain how Darryl was able 2 read those notes in such poor light?!
Eyes get used to the dark and you can see better
STRAIGHT EDGE key words...
SEE BETTER...
NOT...READ BETTER
my father has Cataracts so he had surgery 2 c better but he still needs reading glasses 2 read papers or view his computer screen.
Also, my sister before her stroke used 2 wear glasses 2 drive but after her stroke she's partially blind in her left eye.
So there's a very big difference when it comes 2 seeing objects in the dark then reading in the dark.
Steven's right, every kid needs their mama!!!
To be fair to Henry he has Carl storyline and he did something similar plus no stop a 15 year old with a hard on he's not thinking with the big brain right now he's sprung on some young whisperer tail he's......well u get😉
Hi guys, im from the Netherlands and every week after i watched the new episode i always watch you guys reaction first cause u guys are my favorite!! Love ur comments and ur love for the show just like i do! Keep up the awsome work and lets all hope this comes to a good end, even we all know it wont!! Have an awesome week and i see you 2 next week!!! :)
Nikki: "Everybody's a Whisperer..."
Steven:" No ev....."
Nikki: "No, I don't care! Everybody's a Whisperer! Everybody!
Omgoodness! I love you, two!💜💕
Henry is not the only one that feels the way he does..
Your right she would have taken Henry out but that time he was actually working with Daryl...
Great reaction guys - stuff is gettin intense!!!
I think you forgot about it but Carol already knows the whole thing about the Whisperers, she was there when Jesus died! The scenes where Carol and ezekiel were in the cinema were also flashbacks .
Daryl and alpha feels like Rick and governor vibes.
Okay.
About the Zombie problem.
Way past time to dig deep pits, lead the dead into the pits, then guard them til they rot.
💀🧟♀️💀🧟♂️💀
MM 27 They are already rotting. So what exactly would that accomplish?
I meant rot until the can’t walk anymore. 😘
It’s an infestation.
Well every person that dies and isn't brained becomes a zombie so it's pretty much a never ending supply
"Pull your boob out and feed the kid" 😂Nikki mother instinct
Had anyone else already seen the episode and thought "oh God Nikki is gonna have a breakdown"? Haha
Beta shows up next episode and he's a beast standing at about 6' 5", Daryl is in for a challenge.
I am Negan Beta will destroy Daryl. Now if Daryl and Negan double-team Beta, they might stand a chance.
I know it's going to happen, tho. lol
The new threat - Alpha & the Whisperers - are cool, but I like the whole mystery of this season. Trying to figure out why Michonne is ostricized...I still think it has something to do with RJ, and not so much Rick. And what are the *X* scar's about...branding, perhaps?; another community's threat during the time skip?; a *surgical* scar?
Norman Reedus is killin' it, this season. 😊❤️

Steven: "Like ..This isn't Daryl's strong suit.... what is going to happen right now?"
Nikki: "He doesn't negotiate"
Daryl: "You can't have her"
PERFECTION!! Hahaha 😂
Yeah, I completely hate when they water down storylines. I'm still hoping they allude to Whisperes raping lydia.
I reacted the same way as Nikki when she put the baby on the floor! I was on my feet and everything haha
The more you find out about the whispers the more you will HATE them.
or love them, right? or love to hate them.
@@NikkiStevenReact NO I can't stress this enough if the show shows us more about the whispers and how they are you will REALLY REALLY HATE THEM
tness93 i doubt they’ll go as far as the comics, but yea they are some fucked up people
I think every group in that last scene is gonna have a devestating blow
At the very beginning of this reaction, I knew the part with the baby being left was what Nikki was freaking out about.
I feel like Connie going with Darrell means she's a goner. With so much potential, the show proves once again they always take the easy way out!
Henry! Henry! Henryyyyyy!!!!! SMH. Ughhh!!! Outstanding episode. We all see how extreme and merciless Alpha can be. Can't wait to see Beta. Love your reactions!!!
Enid mentions Carl without saying his name
Yea she mentions how he left a letter to her and it seemed like that letter helped shape her into the person she is now
I hate how the Kingdom has no clue about the Whisperers.
they will....eventually
They will in the Next episode.
Nikki's reaction is mine when they were just gonna sacrifice the baby to save themselves. I know this is a show but geez I was freaking out 😂
No Beta wasn't there.
You will know him when he shows up. A Big Dude, kinda like Alphas Muscle
Alphas Mountain.........
Enid’s Easter egg when she was talking to Henry, she said she saw her parents die in 6x2 “JSS” then she told Carl to just survive somehow then she said to Henry survive somehow
That cornfield scene was so good!
I feel like the writing on the show has gotten better. I like the new direction it is going especially after the loss of so many of the cast regulars.
All these scenes with people happy as shit is just setup...I think they are all gonna be devastated at the end of the season
Ezikiel will die with his head on a pike darly will act as a father to him from that point on
@@TheMEGAMLGHALO3 Maybe, but for the moment he's alive.
Tammy & Earl got a new baybeh. Omega aka Lydia went back to Alpha which sucked, but then, she seems like she's walking the neutral line. Aaaand Beta's coming in a few days. Cheers for Opie!~
Have to say I was saying the same thing about the baby you can't leave that baby pick it up.
Any baby or kid save'em... except for Sam.... ya'll remember that bowl cut kid, right??
Was unsure if this was gonna be posted today, but I stayed up just for this video 🔥
