- If you’re riding around with loose saddlebags, side boxes or top box, then it’s something you really need to fix before it gets any worse. I have found my saddlebags loose but luckily I know what the cause is and a similar thing could be happening on your bike too, whatever brand it is.

Rubber washers from "swing top" beer bottles can come in handy. Also known as 'Grolsch gaskets'.
I hate flopping saddle bags. I've had two bikes with flopping saddlebags and I rigged a bar between the two bags. I drilled a 3/4" hole in the fender to clear said bar and I linked the two bags to the bike with this through bar. Bags and fender were one unit. even had quick disconnect from inside the bag. I just remembered. . . on one bike I drilled through the rear fender. On the other bike I was able to put bar at the rear of the fender tucked under the end of the fender. Either way you have to mount them directly to the fender or do what I did and make an aluminum bar that joins the two bags and tied to the rear fender. Toodles
I'm looking forward to the install-video. I have the same problem. 80.000 km, 6 years old...I think it's time to start putting away money for spare parts and reparations. My sport glide is now in repair, worn out tappets. Took the opportunity to an upgrade to stage 2.
I got told by my local Harley dealer that the European warehouse is in Belgium.

This is the benefit of NOT quick release mounts; solid bolts, spacers, washers, nuts... never loose.

The built in feature of a Harley, is that tight fitting saddle bags will soon be loose fitting all for free.
Hi alf...has anyone contacted you about problems with speedo. I,ve a 2022 model on 3 occacions now the speedo has stopped working while riding, all lights work etc around the bike, and the small red dot stays on top of speedo....if you have any ideas thanks....
So how many miles do you have on your bike now? Me I have a 2019 with 70k now sport glide
If you're keeping it long-term, stock up little spare parts before the geniuses stop producing them.

@@SuperZomp Who knows? HD Inc extorts us into buying new by obsoleting parts for older bikes. When I order anything, I order a spare. I have file drawers full of spare parts.
Get an old school bike and be happy.
Do NOT overload saddlebags & touring packs. There ARE weight limits for ALL of them.
