I recently bought this shifter in replacement of my TH8A as even though its really well built i didn't immersive enough unless i was slamming gears, the tactility of the moza shifter is amazing and I'm in love with the fell, i paid £170 for the thrustmaster and the moza was just under £150, although you can get the thrustmaster for much cheaper now i have 0 regrets, an upgrade for sure.
This is useful to know! I'm waiting on it to arrive to replace my Logitech shifter and I'm hearing so many good things about it. Moza is definitely some one(?) I will be buying from later.
@@johnpeiredaquavoii2213 man I had the Logitech shifter with my Logitech g920 set up and man I went through 2 of those Logitech shifters, they wouldn’t register my inputs and would make sim racing / sim drifting a headache, I got a moza r5 bundle and bought a TH8s plastic variant of TH8a and well it works but doesn’t have lock out for 7 or reverse and I was so used to the logi tech H pattern that I would always go into the wrong gear. I always wanted to own the metal TH8a but since now I have moza I went and got the moza HGP shifter because R and 7 are locked out and I can bang gears like if I was regular H pattern.
Misleading title and thumbnail. I came expecting to see various shifters and left half way once I realized it was a review unit sent by a sponsor and no other shifters to be seen anywhere or mentioned even by name.
The only problem I have with the HGP shifter is, its bottom mount only. If it could mount like either the TH8A or the SHH with the clamp/mount attached then I'd replace my TH8A with it.
Moza have recently announced a dedicated sequential shifter, and although i prefer a product to focus on doing 1 thing extremely well than 2 things kinda good, i feel like most people that want both H pattern and seq won't have space to fit both along with the moza handbrake together.
I bought this shifter and it is amazing to say the least. I also added a 10 inch extension to it for American Truck Sim and it has the strength to still feel fully immersive. I am using the Range/Splitter top with jake and even with the added weight this thing feels almost fully real. For a sim shifter. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better one, in this price range.
@@jeffbradway9167 Not to me it wouldn't be. It's literally almost TRIPLE the price. I'd need to sit at my PC for hours every day racing to justify that.

SHH Shifter is the way to go. U get both h pattern and sequential. U can switch on the fly with the flick of button. Also it's 3d printed outside but insides are tough and dense plastic + metal construction
I think this will be my first upgrade. I got the Moza R5 bundle on the way, but cut a corner on the shifter and got an aftermarket shifter. I hope it holds up OK (had good reviews and was on a big sale). I had the Moza shifter in my cart leading up to my purchase but it is already such an expressive hobby and I was trying to trim prices where I could without sacrificing too much. I figured I splurged on the better wheel and base so I better cut there! IDK - I guess I'm trying to justify it in my own head as I'm typing here! 🤣 I probably should have just spent the extra.... Oh, well. I guess it gives me another reason to go back - need a round wheel at some point anyway since I'm planning on doing some drifting!

It's truly a shame. I don't want two shifters bolted to my sim rig when the same can be easily achieved with a cheaper one. I truly wonder if the immersion factor is that great compare to shh shifter to crown moza the best here.
If I were in the market for a shifter (currently have the Fanatec) the only other shifter I would go with is the Simmagic DS-8X. Not have Sequential shifting is a big game breaker.
Aliexpress 7 speed H shifter is still best value for money, solid shifts with a longer shift knob (the longer ones used for sequential shifters or raised ball like the moza shifter shown in the vid) but definitely too stiff using the included short ball. Easy to repair with bog standard switches and simple design. Has sequential shifting with the added plastic tab. I paid in total £30 for this shifter (£25 for the shifter and £5 for an aluminium HKS cloned sequential shift knob). I personally don't see the appeal in spending a lot more for a brand sticker and a couple of premium features.
I got a Moza HPG and I love it, but that thing is LOUD to the point I can't play while my partner is at home (even with the gate rubber pads installed). Im considering switching to Fanatec H pattern shifter. Hiw is it compare in that regard? Is it more silent? (Im already on a Fanatec wheel, but I play on PC, so no issues with mixing and matching)
love the vid oscar. I am so excited for your moza r3 review. i need a new base and moza has always interested me but I dont have a pc. Enjoyed the vid yhanks
I made my logitech shifter way better, i 3d printed a spring preload mod, and magnetic shifter mod, and the preload was making the shifter bind, i found the two metal pieces were separating too much from increase spring load so i designed and printed a brace the screws into the top of the metal pieces inside and holds it all together snug now it shifts like 3x better.
I've had the logitech and it's meh, the Thrustmaster is alright, but lacks any feeling. I like the fanatec isn't gated, but I've heard it has reliability issues. The moza will definitely be my next shifter.
VNM Shifter V1, Simagic DS-8X and Frex GP6R+ would be what I would say the best shifters. Yes, they are more expensive than the Moza HGP, but this is where you would want to land because the next step-up are stuff like the BDH H1 " Bazooka " and the Pro-Sim Qaife, which by themselves cost more than a wheelbase does.
Is this better than the Fanatec clubsport shifter, or is it better to get the Monza shifter, I probably wouldn’t use the sequential mode anyway and am only wondering about the 7 speed manual feel, are there any downsides to the Monza compared to the Fanatec or does the Monza have a better 7 speed in most ways

Definitely not EVERY shifter on the market like the title says. Several of the higher end, and way better shifters are not included: BDH, Pro Sim and the best I think: the BASH Pro Active Shifter.
I know its not related to this shifter but I wanted to ask how to adjust the stiffness and resistance of the fanatec clubsport shifter sqv 1.5 on a ps4? Also is there a mis-shifts problem so far with fanatec clubsport shifter sq v 1.5? Im looking for a shifter that includes a H and sequential mode at around mid price like the fanatec one and is compatible with a GT DD pro wheelbase to play it on the ps4. Do you have any other good recommendations?

why does it look like it doesnt have resistance going in to the gear? I'm looking for something realistic to simulate my street car. have you tried Aiologs H pattern or simagic?
Given that I like ETS/ATS, and Dirt Rally 2, and Forza Motorsport on the horizon, it's a real shame that it doesn't have a sequential mode, but the price might make it worth owning both when they release the standalone sequential shifter. When is that supposed to release?
i want to buy ad GT DD pro, cose my pc is older and i have ps5, but my question is: which H shifter is PS5 compactible/best, except Logitech(cough)...and do i need some adapters or something
