When Jason was walking Nugget back to Cog Hill one, he was just so calm and gentle and talked to Nugget like it was a regular day and I think that was a comfort to Nugget.
Yes, I thought the same thing.
Comfort for Nugget, pure adrenaline and fear of snakes for Jason. Not to mention, breaking the heart of an 11 year old if he didn't get Nugget home. Exhausted and tense I'm sure add in to that as well.
Nugget and Jason have a bond for sure! Wore my shirt today, several people asked about Nugrassic!

Im sure nugget just said hey idk whats going on what u ppl r up to but hey I'm the sheriff an I gotta check this out idk what u have done with my little friends but I shall save them here here cantaloupe!! ...here ...here cantaloupe here here lol idk I think they have the funniest silliest happiest animals partly due to how they're treated probably I love how they love them n when they talk to them can u not just hear n the voices of all 3 Jason Brooke an marycarl how much they love them n how much joy the 3 of them get from the animals an how happy they make each other I should say idk makes me smile 😃
Mary Carl is so wise beyond her years of experience. I appreciate that you and Jason give her the respect to consider her ideas and discussion. It pays off for all concerned. She is a confident, industrious young lady.

Please keep giving updates on how your Mom keeps adapting … I’m 71 and have a daughter encouraging me to combine households. Your Mom’s little house situation interests me, I would be more interested in something like that than moving INTO my daughter’s home. A person needs to have their own space, and I truly admire how you’ve done that for your Mom while still keeping her close.
Keep your freedom as long as you PHYSICALLY can.

My first thought when the video started was, Where is Jasons glasses? I can't imagine how upset you all were when Nugget was missing, a lot of people were upset but he is your baby so you all must have been heart broken! I'm so happy Nugget is ok, he looked so upset in the last video it made me so sad. You both look so happy and relieved that all the animals are there and happy, I know that is what you all were concerned about even before your comfort. Marycarl was probably crying because she was relieved also, all her animals were now safe and with her at the 40. When I moved with just my two cats I was so worried and upset that they would be upset. I can't imagine worried about so many animals that you have would be overwhelming! Brooke, you are superwoman! I have complete admiration for you!

I truly touched my heart the way Jason walked Nugget back to Cog Hill 1, speaking so gently to sooth him. I'm so glad y'all got him safely to the 40. Is everybody at the 40 now?

Omg ur so rt maybe marycarl will write some sort of children's adventure books can u imagine what a learning lesson in so many ways she could bring other children? An maybe that's an idea marycarl could teach children later when they get more settled id love to c her taking kids around the farm an teaching them things an making more friends n connections with kids helping them to understand more about animals n life shes an amazing kid she reminds me of my daughter when she was little its crazy how that is but my baby has a baby of her own now an he'll b 3 on Nov 1st n she's 27 as of 9/15 she's grown now it takes me back to when my parents had chickens n she was little n spent alot of time there with my parents my husband n I worked alot so she was there most days with them my dad was very much a proud papa he had bought a large van just so he could take all his grand kids at once my sisters an I all have kids n he was so awesome I miss him terribly r.i.p daddy 1/14/21 9 grand kids all the time he was n bliss with that bless his soul an when great grand kids came along he was exactly the same with them ugh anyway sry to ramble have to admit cog hill brings me joy I've had a hard time with his passing n Jason reminds me of my dad alot anyway God bless everyone good luck to u smith family

It was also dramatic for Nugget for being lost. Him being out of his comfortable surroundings must have been very stressful for him. Good thing he is ok.
His pacing is his way of patrolling his precinct "beat". On duty watch protecting his neighborhood.
So glad everyone is finally moved. Can’t wait to hear how everyone else handled the move peaches, Thomas,Scott,& the chickens. So excited for y’all.

What a heart break to find Nugget missing. The very stressful day ended well. You got nugget home to the 40 and he is back with his buddies. Now I can’t wait to hear what peaches and the girls did.
Love that dinner is more a family gathering! If you really think about it the things we think we need, we REALLY don’t need in our lives. The older I get the more I “get it” life is about experiences 😍

Maybe Sweet Nugget needs an Dog/ pet tracker, ID collar...Just so glad, you and Mary Carl found Nugget so quickly.He just was unsure of everything..Not sure who was happier, yall or him, Daddy Jason to the excuse( Nugget was tired and scared, Jason he needed you and you where there for him, I believed that calmed him..) ... How did preahes do with the move
So sorry that move was so stressful. Even Nugget was stressed, find time now that the worse is over to relax and take good care of yourself. Moving CAN lower immune systems due to stress, and extra work and less sleep. Glad most is behind you!
I think Nugget thought I am being abandoned for sure.
Things sound good for you all... so glad Brooke's Mom is more involved and liking the new farm.
Thank you for taking the time to share with us . Part of you will miss the old home but living at the new place will probably be less stressful. At the old place I would have always been worried about storm damage .As time goes on you may feel more at ease about letting your dogs and cats run loose.They will love it .
So happy everyone made it to the “40”.
You will have many years to live out your dreams.
Mom will be a great help with your flower farm with her long history & knowledge working in the business. Mom will know what flowers will sell well & how to make arrangements if you plan on dropping the tailgate of the truck to sell your wares.🌻🌿🌸🌿🌼🌿🌺

Moving is stressful, so it is understandable. The relief you must feel now that the moving part of your journey is finished, and now it is about building the future. 💜 What a wonderful thing to be surrounded by your family and your animal family. I am thrilled Nugget and all are safe and happy. I am hoping to see a 'new' routine video in the future? Stay positive and keep smiling 😁💙 as you adjust to the New 40.

I left a post elsewhere, but didn’t include a question mark for you to see it. When y’all deal w cleaning coops, spending time in a coop, if you don’t already, start wearing a good N95 mask. I spoke w an avian virology expert, bird fancier’s lung BFL is a real problem long term. (My poor Speckled Sussex passed, likely from Marek’s or related virus, only 25 weeks old, never even got a chance to lay an egg..just loaded w cancer, lymphoma to be exact..talked first w the scientist that did the necropsy for me, only 55 bucks total to find out the cause, I was sure it was a crop blockage, but it wasn’t..then talked to her colleague, Dr Wettere) The dusty stuff is loaded w bird antigens, and these can really really cause problems long term for your lungs. No drama, just use common sense, Marycarl seems like she wants to be around birds long term, so, protect her and your health!…?
I have seen Jason wear a mask cleaning chicken coops in one of there videos.

I was thinking that since winter is coming you could dig some trees from your woods to plant around the Paddock for shade. You can use a backhoe and transplant larger trees just prune them heavy.
Isn't it amazing that animals know that as long as they are with their "people" they are home! The other thing you realize when you move is just how many animals you have. Sounds like the move went as well as it could have with a few little hickups. God was watching over all of you and them. God bless

I've looked along side the road, seen horses eating through daisies in a yard, blinked, and had to have the driver turn around for a secind pass because I want sure what I was seeing. - imagine looking into the yard and seeing an emu.
Hope Nugget has recovered from his adventure. I was so worried he was gone. Nugget just wanted to pay a visit to the neighbors to say goodbye.😜
He strolled by and told them,That he is "moving on up to the 40, My tribe and I got a piece of the pie" 😂
Nugget is fine he's back at the 40 he has a little bit of diarrhea other than that he's doing very well thanks for being concerned

I believe you finding Nugget that fast was definitely guided by God! You had so many places to look for him, but you were taken to where he was and then you were able to See him clearly up that driveway.
