Brooke, I FULLY understand how it makes you nervous to have people at your house. I'm the same way!!
Y'all had me laughing out loud about the nook / nuke......peCAN / pe-con pronunciation discussion!! Soooooo funny that people get their panties all in a wad over something so simple!!! I LOVE that you're to the point in your RUclips journey that you can just laugh it off.
Part of the charm of the COGHILL channel is the down south pronunciation of words and terms! Personally, I LOVE Y'ALL......ESPECIALLY your pronunciation of words!

Saying thank you to everyone during the mail opening will be sufficient. Nothing fancy just THANK YOH to everyone, that’s it job done. You don’t have the time and those who sent packages don’t need anymore that that. Just be yourselves that’s all us Cog Squad subscribers want. Love you all ❤️❤️❤️
Mildred and Mooman. I’m with you and harnesses the only thing perhaps when they go to their permanent pasture you build some sort of small enclosure where you can tie them up to hold them in case you need a vet etc. only an idea.

I agree Carol with your comment.
It's also fun watching them opening the gifts and their sweet expressions are enough of a thank you 😊. A one time thank you at the end is enough. If no one knows that they aren't appreciative they should go watch all CH videos then they can see they are 😊

Y'all don't worry none about what others think you should be doing or saying! It is YOUR land YOUR life.. Let people worry about their own stuff!!! Just ignore it all and live YOUR best life!!! That is ALL that matters at the end of the day. I love every thing Y'all got going on! If it looks, feels and seems good to you.. Then it's good! What is right for you maybe not right for others. Like you always say. "do what works for you"

I sure can't wait until it warms up.🥰🥰🥰 Also I just want to say that I lost my brother to lung disease and it was due to pigeon feces 😭😭 He kept them in his house most of the time. I really like the idea of just pushing back the different animal paddocks, along with a gate between the new and old sections, so that you can let the front areas recover (and even reseed them to help build up the type of grass in those areas). And the built in benefit of shade can make the summer/fall paddock and the front area the winter/spring - more direct sun.

Plus you have to concern yourself with that pond erosion area, then making sure you have feed for all your animals, there's a lot on your plate, you need a platter! Lol 😂. I just love this channel!

Oh my goodness you still have to seal your concrete floors in your new home, you all have had such a big "To do" list that I am awestruck that you have done as much as you have done. You have taken 40 raw acres & had to establish a farm where there was nothing but a meadow & woods. YOU TWO have accomplished so very much with all new fencing, animal & foul shelters, the new housing, along with the love & care of the farm life & maintenance in addition to the start up your new farm. I am amazed at how much you two have accomplished. May the Lord cover you with His goodness & Grace love your farm, from a great granny at the Space Coast of Florida

    Evening
So pleased to be notified that you had another podcast out. Brooke you are so correct when you say that it was a good job you didn’t try to do the house by yourselves. It must be difficult selecting what you both work on daily! Paying others to do what they are experts at is the smart choice because nobody else can do your vlogs and podcasts, you are the experts on your channel! Progress is going at an amazing rate guys, just look at what you have achieved in such a short period. Keep up the good work Mr and Mrs Cog Hill ! Love watching and listening to you.

My bones hurt sometimes, well more often than not. lol God has Blessed your family and I'm very happy to be allowed to watch both your channels. Thank you for sharing. Hi Jason and Brooke, I am an Insurance Agent here in Calif and I totally agree with you on the Insurance subject. People are so suit happy, looking for a fast buck. That happened to Lester a couple of years ago, if you remember. So sad the world has come to this! I remember when I was in grammar school how we looked forward to visiting a farm and being able to pet the animals, to bad children today missing that experience. You all have a great weekend! Hugs to you both!💕

I love your podcast!! Love the whole content, especially when you cover and clarify questions. The farm looks soo good! Amazing what you two have accomplished already. One suggestion. Maybe if you're able to spend a roughly half an hour recording gifts sent to you a couple times a month or so, it wouldn't be so overwhelming. I do know you don't have lots of free time being soo busy with everything you do, but when you receive them, pick them up...if they're stored in the order received, you could show your gift givers in a more timely manner and it hopefully won't take you hours and be so overwhelming. Just a suggestion. I do enjoy your site, all 3 of you and all the animals. Plus the 40 is gorgeous!!! ♥️

This is a busy time for all gardeners and farmers, then add building a house. Don't beat yourself up and if someone is being critical, ignore them. If you have a garden/farm, this is a critical time of the year. I am getting so busy, I am not able to watch you as often so I am glad you got behind so I could catch up...ha, ha. Enjoy your wonderful property and farm, and don't be so hard on yourselves for being human. I love whatever you have time to do, but I understand when you have to make life a priority as I am sure the majority of your viewers do. I know I couldn't do as much as you are all doing. THANK YOU.

You guys need to stay just being yourselves because we love you as you are❤️ also Brooke I think all women (I know everyone I know do this) worry about the house and yard or farm yard are always worried and get worked up on how it all looks and is clean when someone’s coming, but I’ve noticed now at my older age I still worry but I try to not be as over the hill crazy inside myself doesn’t always work but I try! But in my head I always try and think my head when I clean spotless it’s going to all be messy when they all leave anyway so why clean spotless twice once before and again when they leave ,sometimes it helps! (Even when it’s our kids and their families or friends) hope this helps you to just try it at your young age instead of waiting till your my age! ❤️🇨🇦

Brooke, are you a perfectionist? Cause when folks are coming to my home, I get so anxious and plan and prep and setup and prepare and…. Note to self… Breathe!! I am only a perfectionist In “my world “…. I totally get the anxiety! And the conflict within cause you seem to be very friendly and talkative!

Watching Jason feed the many flocks is mind-blowing, so many names! We are being warned daily in the news about avian flu, so many homesteaders are heartbreakingly having to destroy their birds, especially ducks and mixed flocks. We were informed to remove wildbird feeders, keep egg layers inside if they were free range or could be exposed to ducks, or a share a common water supply. Do you anticipate any changes to your bird keeping b/c of the avian flu epidemic?

Yes big rescue farm here in so. NH had to destroy their entire group of birds (chickens, ducks, etc) due to avian flu. Heartbreaking to them. State came in. Huge groups of wild turkeys we'd been seeing are down to one, two or three birds, don't know if its flu or some other reason. Any other experiences on these issues?

I'm certain that as soon as you're able to move into your new house it will release a huge amount of pressure from your lives . Not because of it not being done but , when you stop being cramped in that little camper , the world , the farm and life in general will become so much more bearable .

I’m exactly like you Brook. I have no other problem other than don’t want people to come to my home. I want my privacy and solitude. I have less than 5 people ever come on my acres since I got it in 2006. I have animals too and don’t need anyone hurt on my property. I’m so busy keeping things up and not good about being interrupted. Yet, I really like people but just like my home privacy.
