Brooke you are priceless - '... we'll try to do better, but it's still a cow!' Oh how I love y'all!!!
You should have a t shirt for your customers that states.
“I’m a member of the COG squad”
I would sure buy one. Love these guys.
I'd buy one too.
I’d love to have one if you do them.
Yes, I love that idea. I want one too
I would buy a Cog squad shirt.
You can call Moody a honey bunch sugar pie if y'all want to just as long as you call him and you make me smile or laugh!!!! I just love yas!!!
My family think I made these new friends, I talk about you all the time.
Brenda from California. Definitely a part of the Cog squad. We never worry about when you put things out. We just enjoy that you are willing to take us with you throughout your lives.😃😃😃
And may I add to Brenda's statement most of us don't care what ya call COW ! To me all of them are cows 🤣😂🤣
Living in southern California, but grew up on a farm in Wisconsin. And to add to Brenda & Nancy's statements, a cow is a cow! We always called them cows! We love all the cows! 🤣 Moody is my new favorite on the farm! 😘
Brenda from Ohio one of the Cog squad. 😁 No worries when you post, because we will come running when you do drop a video or podcast. Such a precious family 🥰
Well said Brenda!! Totally agree!
I agree with the main comment & with every post! Cows & peacocks sound great to me! 👍🏻
Give Moodie & Nugget a kiss from Pa!!!😘🥰❤
I’m family with the Morrow’s and now I’m part of the Cog Squad! Us country folks ALWAYS eat our dessert first, in case we die before the meal is over…I’m blessed…❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh sweet!! Now l am alone ,and do as l please, dessert leeds the way! 🥮😊
Perfectly said, our grandpa always had his dessert 1st and us grandkids loved it 🥰 so we have a “ but grandpa does “ 💕
Love it that you call us the Cog Squad. Love this pod cast today. You call your critters whatever you want, we know what you mean.
Happy New Year in advance to all GUYS*🥳💫😎💯🆒✈️Life is Good L.G
Lol...Brooke!!! I was so happy to hear you say "Moody would have that shelter TUMPED over"
I've have said this all my life and was glad to hear you say it..
I'm not alone....LOL
Moody doesn’t realize he’s a cow/steer. 🤣😂 What joy we are receiving from Moody! 🥰 Y’all are fabulous 😁
I really enjoy just chatting with y’all … you don’t hear me, but I’m putting my 2 cents in too! 🤣😂🤣😂 Thanks for sharing 🥰
I do to, we all are just sitting in our favorite chair talking to Jason and Brooke!!
I talk to them all the time.😂 Give them the answers to questions and words they can't recall. Good thing they can't hear me😉
Oh lord me too 😁😁
That includes me. I'm always talking to the animals and to you all
Moo-man acts like he has always been part of your family so you know he is happy. BTW, he looks much healthier now so you are doing a great job caring for him. I just love watching him skip and following you all around.
Good morning Cog Squad leaders! Y’all will have to make necklace of garlic for Moody to protect from bats. Moody is a people person! He loves your company….love his personality.
I'm a Cogger....I'm a big fan of Nuggo, Moodo, and the whole farm...I now watch Cog Hill more than Ima Survivor which was my favorite before. Love Jason and Brooke and their affection for the animals. Mary Carl is always an amazing young lady with her love and knowledge about the chicks.
Me too ill leave lesters & family page to come watch cog 40 lol 😆 cog 40 have become my no1 now lol 😆
Enjoy each family. They have different ways to do their videos.
That was a Very easy switch.. LOL Lester can be OK But he is over the top :( But You can see he got a Good Old Big Heart .. But Give me Some Jas & Brooke with side order of Mary Carl.. LOL
I really enjoy how y’all handle the negative comments and people. With humor. Some channels rant and rave and waste the good followers time. I love your channel😘😘😘
Y’all and your COW are so cute!!🥰
No such thing as late, Jason. I just enjoy watching your Cog Hill 40 adventures whenever you can share your time.
Hey y’all!!!! Proud to be part of the Cog Squad. Can’t wait to hear the update from the 40. 👍👍👍
Mayonnaise sauce with garlic is aioli sauce. Pronounced ay-ow-lee.😃
Jason said costaphobic, and Brook said clostaphobic, but it is claustrophobic. lol 😂 That’s okay you gave us a good laugh!😅
Exactly said like Santa 🎅
I think a lot of things today are costaphobic….🤣😂
Almost like WM today!
I thought at first this was a new term for sticker shock 😂.
Proud to be a member of the Cog Squad! Don't change your dialect just because some people say something different. I am from Pennsylvania and the locals use the terms cow and flip-flop just like you.
I'm glad I'm a Cog Squad Member. Setting at home on this Friday night watching my favorite channels. Your family lifted my spirits. Thanks for being true to yourself .
I'm a proud member of the Cog Squad! Yep, we need a Cog Squad hoodie.
I’d buy one.
As always, so much fun. Here in central Ohio, we call cows, cows and flip flops as well. I believe, cats are cats, dogs are dogs, cows are cows birds are birds. Just always promise reguradless of other people, please be yourselves. It is why we all love you so. ❤️
In South Africa we also call them "Flip-flops" . The Afrikaaans people refer to them as "plakkies" (literally "stickers" as one plants one's foot down on the ground, one step at a time!)
I'm originally from Ohio and we called all bovine 'Cows' no matter if they were male or female so no worries. A winter cap was called a toboggan and a winter scarf was called a muffler, oh and a can of soda was called 'pop'. I live in California now and when I first moved here many moons ago, people would look at me funny if i used those terms LOL
Oh and another good one was 'Bed Clothes" which to me was your sheets and blankets. I say that here and they think I mean Pajamas LOL Just shows you that there are all kinds of people and we have our way of talking.
I was born and raised in California and when I read bed clothes I immediately thought of Pj's. 😃😃
I'm happy to be a part of the Cog Squad!! Within the USA we have many different words used in different ways. It's all about where you are from and what you grew up saying. It doesn't make you right or wrong. I'm in upstate New York transplant from downstate New York (not the city) and there is a big difference in the way things are said here compared from where I grew up. Jason and Brooke don't ever change! Love you guys for who you are!!
The Cog Squad rocks!!!!!😁
I'm part of the Cog Squad.. would not have it any other way ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It really does amaze me that some people want to “correct” things that many of us don’t find in need of correcting. I’m glad you laughed at the steer/cow comment Brooke. That is the best way to handle it. I think us southerners are pretty good at that….usually all the way to bank….or to the post office to receive gifts of love from all us Cog Squad members. Love your channel! Thank you!
New t-shirt idea..."Proud member of the Cog Squad"
It's just a thought ☺️
Friend for Moody...I vote donkey. I love them so much, and hopefully will have a pair someday.
Love you guys so much. Y'all are just wonderful folks.
Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Laurie from Winterhaven California.
❤️🌵☀️⛈️🌈☮️🐎
Donkeys are great guardian animals too. They can kill a coyote.
A llama is a good guardian animal…friend in Texas has Painted Sheep (look up photos, they look like goats but are a multi colored sheep) and had Llambert the llama guarding them from coyotes.
@@luvapril9483
I found a picture of a donkey standing over a dead mountain lion. I'd like to think it is real, but you never know on the internet.
@@aubieal0878 love that name!
Some folks come up with such clever names.
My cousin had a guinea pig that he named "Pig Floyd", after one of his favorite bands.
aoli is the sauce i think you are refering to. For moody get a cow brush - they are big cylindershaped brushes that fix onto an upright post and move side to side and spin around and moody can scratch himself and clean off loose hair.
I’ve seen them on other sites and the cows ADORE them.
Most people don't care what you call Moody, I call him a COW, these people need to drop the subject and stop being nit picky, anyone watching you knows you have different names for things, PECAN, TOBOGAN etc., WE LOVE YOU
👏well said! Indeed i agree!
Exactly
Oh God love ya Brooke " I just laugh....What difference dose it make? We just want to make you smile. (cheeky grim) He is still a cow." I feel the same way. And we call them cows here in Ohio.🐮🤣
Hey y'all!!! I am a proud Cog Squad member and I love how you talk. I am from Quebec but I have traveled all over the US from top to bottom and coast to coast. I have to say that Southerners are the best!! Moody has the perfect personality for your farm 🚜. He is so sweet.
Omg! Chocolate raspberry is an absolute delicious combination!!!
If I see chocolate raspberry almost anything, I’ll toss in the buggy! Especially dark chocolate raspberry.
She's actually Booby trapping the freezer on purpose , cause of the sugar. So she's your portion control!!!Lol! By the way, the chocolate raspberry is really, really good!!! You gotta use buttermilk in cornbread. It's the best way to make it.
Buttermilk is the way to go with cornbread for me too!
I’m from Western Canada and we call your toboggans - toques- pronounced TUKES. 😂😂 I love Moody, he’s a great addition to the Cog 40! I’m looking forward to Mary Carl joining you on the podcast. It’s a good thing I have something good in the oven because all your talk of food has made me hungry!❤️
I thought a Toque was a chef's hat
@@johnwright4641 ha ha! That’s funny! If in doubt google your dictionary.
Here in this part of WV we call them toboggans too.❤️
@@johnwright4641 a toque is a French Canadian word for a stretchy woolen hat
@@patriciaober4647 yes it is and it is also the name of a chefs hat there are several hats with no brim that are known as Toque's
If you think you are going to like the Magnum chocolate ice cream bars, the raspberry Magnum bars put the chocolate bars in the shade. And if that ain’t enough there is the caramel and chocolate Magnum. All three are highly addictive. Beware!!! Pace yourself 😂😂😂😂 Hurry up with those Cog Squad T-shirts🥰🥰
YES! I'll be anxious to order mine!!
You are soo right my wife is addicted to them both
I absolutely love being part of the Cog Squad.🥰👍🏻👏🏻
Love watching you both! In the land down under
We also call Moody a Cow 🙂 & when you open your parcels don't alter anything you didn't talk to much & Tucker was just wanting to join in! And all of the COG SQAUD love you the way you are 💖🤗🌺👌
Hello cog hill. I'm from Pennsylvania and have bin a big fan of y'all for a few years. I can't speak for everyone but I hope y'all aren't pressured to please us. I'm just glad y'all allow us to be along for the journey.
Check out Living Traditions Homestead, they just built a shelter for their heifer that they've weaned off their cow. They live far enough south, not near as south as you, but still south enough that it just provides shelter from the wind and rain, and shade during the summer months. They showed it being built from setting the four corner posts to completion.
I love you getting personal and I am a proud cogsquad member. I even imagine a loooong bench in virtual land with us all waiting in anticipation 😀 🥰
Moody is y’all’s overgrown puppy. And his variety of puppy DOES NOT need a shelter. He would appreciate a shade shelter in the summer heat, but that’s not even necessary (and might never get used even if available).
Y’all keep up the great work!
Agreed 100%!!! Thank you😊😊😊
I live in a camper when I travel for work. I'm an outside person and when weather cold or rainy, I have to get in my car and ride, when walls start closing me inside.
A Canadian member of the Cog Squad here. I particularly love Tucker, so laid back, even around the geese! Mr. Moody is a hoot.
No need to apologize for being late, I know the nice people you are you want to apologize but don't worry about it. I'm sure all of us in the Cog squad are just happy to see you anytime we see you. About french fries, they can be addicting so I stay far away from them. I used to love McDonalds fries and would stop almost every day after work and of course you can't just get fries you have to get a burger also. I don't eat fast foods now since I've gotten older, probably had fries two or three times in 20 years. If I ate fries like I did when I was younger I wouldn't be able to fit through the arches!
You should have shirts that say Cog Squad member
I'd buy it!
So would I
I adore being a member of the Cog Squad, you are my RUclips family (you didn’t even know you were related to me, did you?).
It’s been a very long time since I lived where the little cafes offered a meat and three, you make me miss it.
Flip-flops, thongs, zorries, same thing.
If you don’t mind, I’ll interject -in the south we are told from childhood “ be nice to everyone you meet, because we’re probably related to them” 😍 Hello cousin!
We’re the Cog Hill Family of Choice!
I am addicted to watching both. Cog Hill channels. Love keeping up with the animals and their antics. I do prefer YT because they keep the newest videos and podcasts at the top of the lists and everything is in order of the posts. On FB, I have yet to figure out how to get them in order the way YT automatically does it. 🥰🥰
I can only see them on you Tube since my FB account got hacked. I like Yt better anyway.
How will Mooooody handle becoming a star?
Enjoying your Podcast and following your new journey. Definitely part of the COG squad!
Cow shelter: check out Justin Rhodes. He has a shelter for his 2 dairy cows, their calves, and his bull. His shelter is moved by their side by side. He was concerned about his bull pushing on it, but has made just a couple small modifications. He has had it in operation for over a year now and it gets moved every day or two. The shelter also serves as their mobile milking stand.
Maybe someday, Moody can go hiking with you on the property. Awwww, I love, love, love Moody!
We do love being the Cog Squad!❤️🙏
You teach all of us Northeners all about Southern mannerisms. So funny.
I love you calling us the Cog Squad! It makes me feel like I'm part of something 💜 I've lived in Michigan my whole life and we call them flip flops, lol. Although a toboggan is definitely a really fun sled to me.
Bats. In the summer at night my kids and I used to lay on the asphalt driveway, look up, and watch the bats go out on their insect patrol. They are silent fliers too.
You might build him what they used to call a loafing shed. It is more open on the sides which would provide good air circulation.
Listening during my last work hour today! I have a very stressful job and these podcasts make me smile!
So glad we can laugh about the words we use! A cow is what I would call Moody as well... or maybe it would be better to call him your BIG puppy dog lol
I love being part of the cog squad. Your family is great. I know my grandkids could watch and I’d never be embarrassed by what they were seeing!
I’m always so glad to see you two you brighten my day
If you want a "mobile" shelter that you could potentially move, look at Justin Rhodes mobile milking shelter. It may be something you would like to have so that you can put Moody in different spots. It would have to be pulled with your tractor but it is sturdy enough for him not to knock over yet not so permanent that you couldn't move it.
Don’t worry about being a day late, we won’t tell Peaches or Nugget! My grandmother made what I called tomato pie, it was sweet and so good the bread was cut up into smallish squares and buttered. My grandmother used her canned tomatoes, pouring off all the juice and cooked the tomatoes with sugar and a little salt then spread the toasted buttered bread squares over the top of the tomatoes and baked in the oven until the they were toasted, crunchy and slightly brown. Oh, it was sooooo good! The potato casserole with the cream of chicken soup is a recipe used by Cracker Barrel. Since you could taste the cream of chicken soup, they put too much in it. If you make it at home, you can use cream of anything else you like! I live in Tennessee and we call them Cows!
Hello Coghill 40
Oxen are animals, over four years old, that are trained to do work, like pulling things. Love the channel! 💜
You can add a splash of vinegar or lemon juice to regular milk in a pinch and it tastes more like buttermilk.
I always enjoy your podcasts. Thanks for the smiles and laughter. Have a great day!
I love being part of the Cog Squad, I enjoy you and your family so much, Nugget and Moody, and Milo, and of course Peaches, all the chickens 🐓 turkeys 🦃 geese and ducks and the peacocks 🦚 all of y’all . You bring the country to us and I love to hear your sweet soothing drawls .I don’t expect you to read this as there are already 577 comments but I know you love me too. Your friends ChuckandMax
Cog squad member here! 🥰. As I said before, if it moos, it’s a cow! So happy waterlines are nearly finished.
I was having Coghill withdrawals........I feel so much better now!!!!☺
Haha, me too!
I am so excited about Mary Carl and the next podcast ... Yeah! Brooke and MC can share a mic. Then we have all our eggs in one basket!
Mr Google says this about flat iron steaks:
A cut of flat iron comes from the chuck shoulder primal. This is in the front shoulder of the steer and is the same palace you would get a chuck roast. Because flat iron steak comes from the chuck region, it's not a super expensive steak. Despite that, it has the quality of a very expensive cut of meat.
Is it the same as chuck steak ya wonder? I see them in groceries at times, and starting to see flat iron, but no tri-tip like west coast…it’s similar to something I can’t remember. But chuck roast is the best for pot roast!. I’m going to smoke one next time brother fills the gas grill bottle…unless he’ll stand guard over the charcoal smoker. He doesn’t have to cook until done just get the smoke in it for an hour-two, and I can put it in the oven with carrots/potatoes/onion. Otherwise it may taste like brisket if left in the smoker.
I always call them mooies when I see them in the pastures, lol! That's what my mother used to say when I was young and we would take a drive in the country.
Look up breaded tomato recipe it's butter, stale bread , a little sugar and cooked or canned tomatoes either baked or cooked on stove top, learned it from my great grandmother its always a winner
SWEET!! I sure miss my grandma "stewed tomato " 🍅 casserole. Thanks l will put that down for Sunday night dinner 😃
Yum yum, great side dish with fish.
AOILI... the mayonnaise based sauce
Love being in the Cog Squad, the Gentleman can be Cogers and the Ladies can be Cogets 😊👍👍👍
Dont worry about being late. I think most people who watch your channel , just love y'all so much. That you are missed real bad.
I’m glad your back. Yes I’m
A member of the Cog Squad.
Potato log’s? Lol. Here in NC I’m thinking we call them tater wedges? Maybe the same thing? It’s a potato with the skin on it cut into wedges and rolled in flour and spices then deep fried. So good!! And we dip them in ranch dressing! Oh my gosh my mouth is watering. Lol anyway guys love y’all
I was thinking taters or wedges as well
I’ve heard them called JoJo potatoes, my late husband absolutely loved “tater” logs.
I worked a grocery deli in southwestern Ohio that served hot food. They had a breaded, seasoned, fried potato wedges which were called "space spuds".
I loved those tater wedges! When I’d go to work, I’d stop at a convenience store that had those tater wedges, and I’d buy 3 for breakfast with a bacon or fried steak biscuit. Mmmmm.
Guys, when you build your fence for the back paddock for Moody and friends, extend the fence back into the tree line so that there is lots of shade from those trees and you might find that they won't need a "shelter". Cows really only need shade unless they are in snow country where they are then locked into barns over the winter period.
And what we now call capris were called pedal pushers in the '60's! It's all relative!😊
Eveyone makes fun of people from Kentucky. We talk pretty much like you. It's so funny when you talk about how people make fun of your words. I'm like really!! They talked like I do.
Blessings to the Cog Hill and. CogSquad
Hi all
Most ranchers use trees for their cows to get shade, in places where they have trees.
OMG Brookes face when Jason said THONG!!! Brooke you tickle me! I love yall so much!!!
Oooh! Didn’t expect to find a podcast from you guys already! Always love listening to and watch what you share with us ❤️
Just had another thought. Have you guys heard of a 'cow brush'? I watched a video of an installation and the cows loved it. It did need a big hole, concrete and steel to anchor it. Seemed worth the effort. Maybe, when it comes time to building the hay/bovine shelter in the long pasture, you could add a cow brush? Since Nugget is rubbing his neck feathers off on the wire fence, perhaps he could do with an emu scratching pole as well. Silly bird.
You two are just so cute together! You always make my day! I am part of your Cog Squad! Yay! ❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗🙏🙏🙏
You guys are so lucky two nice people found each other. Your so kind to each other. Does my heart good. ❤️
I love watching ya’ll every time you make a video and podcast! Your so real, happy and full of love . Plus ya’ll have a wonderful senseofhumor. May God bless yaLl and all you animals and pets!!
Aoli sauce is a garlic mayo.
I sure do enjoy ya'll. 😉 I was raised here in Arizona but my family is from Arkansas and Kentucky so I'm used to hearing all kinds of things different ways and ya'll remind me of spending time with them.
I'm really enjoying ya all enjoying learning about Moody. 😁
Flat Iron Steak, here in Ontario call it Flank Steak.Flank Steak was used for Ground Beef before it became popular as Steak..
Hey Ontario ✋. Best wishes from Ontario too. 🥰🇨🇦
Lol, they rare all cows to me too! Moo Man is a perfect fit to your farm! ❣️
Your animals return the love you give to them.😊❤
Yes!!! We do love being the "COG SQUAD"
In TN I had so many experiences with Wild life. Here IN I had a problem with bats in my house. You haven’t lived till a bat is flying around your living room ! Crazy . Had to have couple repairs done. No more bats in the house
Haha, I knew Jason was saying claustrophobic, but I was thinking at the same time costrophobic, but I know you like to save money..lol..you got me Jason..haha
Chocolate raspberry is amazing. Raspberries and chocolate are wonderful together! Love you two. I'm watching this on Saturday morning. Perfect!
I got notice you picked up the package I sent. I can't wait to hear how you like all that's in there. :)
