    on the first mini-ramp i built i did an old coping trick u really never see anymore - pvc pipe split down the middle. very frugal, you get both sides of the ramp with one pipe! it actually worked great imo. it's a pretty unique skating experience - it makes a cool sound after it's been skated awhile, icyyyyy grinds...and you could really pop off it because cut in half, it almost has springiness to it..on the second mini-ramp i built i had metal pipe coping i don't think i ever got it quite perfect but close..liked it too but that pvc pipe was really interesting and pretty dang fun

    Bro! How you gonna leave it hanging on this?!?! I built s mini ramp in my 20’s just on a whim. Barely internet, just seat of the pants young kid builder stuff. Now Im too old to be skating but I wanna get back to it, and Im 20 years wiser and more knowledgeable on proper building and just looking at videos for comparison/ideas. Great series, hope someday you finish it up!

    This is way beyond my technical skills and something I would never want to undertake but still makes for fascinating viewing. I grew up skating mini-ramps in the late80s/early90s, we managed to skate those and they were so poorly constructed. I guess standards have changed now so skaters expect ramps to feel a certain way all the time.

    What's inside the coping? Window foam for sound deadening? Is it the full length or just the ends? Does it work?

    • @bendegros
      @bendegros  Год назад +2

      Spray foam to try and reduce the sound of slamming on the coping. Just the ends. It helps a little maybe but not much.

    • @bendegros
      @bendegros  Год назад +4

      The skatelite will last indefinitely. 100% waterproof. It might eventually get a little thrashed from being un-installed and re-installed but skating and water will not damage it.
