After twenty years of dreaming, I finally crushed a mini pipe in three days thanks to this. Wish I could post a pic. For those going the extra mile for a halfpipe, 2'x4'x16' built in three pieces works great (sitting on vertical 2x4s, so 21.5" height from the flat with a 4.5' radius). I tried 2'x4'x12' and the flat was way way too short, hence the third piece. I'm cheap and used a ~1.3" curtain rod, but better than the pvc I originally bought. I still need to build a hinging 17-24" top somehow (I have 3.5" right now so I can sort of fit it on a vehicle/trailer).

I live in south Florida. Every time we have a hurricane or tropical storm, people throw away the plywood they used to board up their windows. I mean, you can find sheets upon sheets out for the trash. I usually drive around collecting as much as I can fit in my SUV and build free ramps with it.

Oh heck yeah! I need to build this.
I have a 7ft curb simulator that I made out of salvaged pallets and a piece of angle from a local metal shop. I had them bend flat plate for a softer corner vs actual angle iron. It's about 8" high and I can bolt on a riser to double the height. I mostly ride it in my basement, but have taken it out on the streets and shared. I landed my 1st backside crook on it.

Don't use a jigsaw to cut your transitions, i use some plumbers tape mounted to the foot on my worm drive (center of blade after setting depth) with a self tap'r. I also found if you use a Philips #2 short bit directly in my impact driver it makes a perfect countersink every time for gold cabinet screws. 😉

Very nice work! I’m building a lot of grindboxes from recycled materials and placing them around my home town. Usually I use angle iron, but now I want to use a long pipe. (Not very thick). I was wondering if you could help me out with a question? I know that the pipe should probably stick out a bit on the top of the box..? But what about on the vertical side/the side that the wheels will slide against? Should the pipe be pretty much flush with this side? And maybe also flush on the top? I want this box to work for crocked grinds too. I’m guessing it should be placed different than it would on a ramp..? Sorry, I have written this question on three of your videos now, hoping that you will read one of them. 😄 -Greetings from Norway 🛹🙋‍♂️
