shout out these guys for being better role models that some of the ones we had when we were looking up to skaters in the early 90's. We were ALL just kids back then so it's somewhat understandable, but it's just nice to see skating moving in the right direction.@@justkeepskating8888

Thank you ben. The truck madness is finally fading away. I’ve made a rule that I will only try another pair of trucks until my 144s are grounded down to the axle. Seems like I always end up on indies anyways lol
I've only witnessed Ben legitimately pull his groin once. The sound was deafening. His voice: unrecognizable. Everyone in Tim Hortons was mortified. Thank God they have a seemingly endless supply of napkins.

Carpentry is so good that I did it for a year with the worst boss I've ever had and still enjoyed it. You won't regret it. One of the most valuable experiences of my life.
Definitely take your time picking out your lumber when you buy it--splits and twists can take away from the quality of the finished product, or at least make the project more of a headache.

Man, you're probably only a few years older than I am (36) and I really wish I would have paid more attention when my father was showing me how to build different things. I grew up on a farm so you can imagine how many different projects we did over the years. I do remember it being fascinating that my dad could just do all this stuff without referencing anything and just knowing which tool to use for what. If someone held a gun to my head I could probably still build a box to skate but I'd still struggle or over analyze it and it wouldn't be nearly as good this.
Nice! I would definitely have worked out the dimensions of the coping beforehand, so as to avoid all that lenghtwise cutting! Also, if you left the metal sticking out a little more on the side, maybe you wouldn't need the skatlite at all under the coping. But hey, it turned out great!
Great selection of tools and materials, with a skilled tradesman using them to create something is a joy to watch. How much are you charging for admission into this skatepark? 😁😉
I LOVE my stiletto T-bone. If you swing a hmer a lot, it's so worth the $250. Also, any reason you didn't use 2x6's or 2x4'sfor the joists? I know it's getting fancy but I would've I would've used a smaller joist & ripped say 1½" off the bottom of the rim joists leaving like a foot at the ends full width. That was it puts it on 4 feet, instead of all that area touching the ground, and lets you get your hands under it easy.
I wish I had my own tennis court I can sk8 on.. There is 1 in my town but the ground is soo rough that its not even worth it. Rather sk8 back and forth on the road in front of my house

How many times have you hit your toe by accident? I don't think I'd be hanging my foot over right by the nail I was whacking, but then we m a lay person.
why do you have a lefty circlular saw i frame houses and our saw blades face us ive tried to cut a long rip of plywood with one and it was pretty difficult whenever you make one of thoes plunge cuts and you hold that gaurd up it scares me

If you hook up and pitch on a 8 foot it's just the wrong length to land right on the edge of the other side. 10 is just right

For marking 16” layout the red numbers on the tape are your 16” increments - so take 3/4” away from the red numbers and do even less thinking

Also, was 4 screws holding the coping on really enough? I always thought you'd need some kind of adhesive to keep it in place as well.
It's still there :) Gravity helps a lot in this case.

Most likely Sch. 40 Standard. 1/8 would probably be too thin and Sch. 80 would be too heavy in my opinion.

Honestly, too much. That box is over $500 for sure. I got the skatelite for free but if you had to buy everything it would be around $800
