Restoring a 50-Year-Old Barn into a Workshop. TIMELAPS.

- "Join us on an incredible journey as we breathe new life into a long-forgotten barn that stood untouched for over 50 years. What once served as a barn for my wife's grandparents' livestock has now been reborn as a state-of-the-art furniture workshop, thanks to the collaborative efforts of our friends and family.
In this video, we'll take you through every step of this transformation. Our dedicated team began by stripping away decades of plaster to reveal the original stone structure. We then removed the dividing wall, replacing two small windows with a large, inviting one, flooding the space with natural light.
The next challenge was the worn-out concrete floor. It had to go. We decided to raise the ceiling by 25 centimeters, reinforcing it with new beams. After pouring a fresh concrete floor, we tackled the arduous task of plastering every surface. The ceiling got a layer of mineral wool insulation before being clad with sturdy gypsum board. We meticulously finished every seam with fiberglass tape and began the meticulous process of smoothing out the ceiling.
Once we had a flawless surface, we primed and painted both the ceiling and the walls. I took charge of installing energy-efficient LED lights and handling the electrical work, ensuring our new space was both functional and eco-friendly.
The finishing touches included tiling the floor, which added a touch of elegance and durability. Finally, my son expertly fitted the baseboards to complete the transformation.

Thats some great work for sure but can I just clarify, this barn was only made in 1973? The stonework says otherwise.
