      All true points with one exception: Totally misrepresented Video Title from VCG. Terrible they labeled this video this way when it CLEARLY it did 99% of everything they showed. A NUMBER of drills can't spin a 2-1/4 hole saw bit through on #2 speed... Shame on VCG Construction for clearly false presentation as clickbait. The video proved it otherwise...

    I went from Makita to Dewalt and for this past year tried the Hercules Line to put them to test. I used and abused Herculess tools for a number of Remodeling projects for this past year. Still going strong, no issues. They were dropped, left outside under rain and sun, used daily. Durability is there. Jobsite use approved. Whenever batteries go out I know I can go replace them with their new warranty. (Oscilalting cordless multitool, Impact, hammer drill, sliding miter saw, table saw, circular saw, grinders...) Now I am considering into getting their full line up of tools.

      I just had my Makita set grow legs and walk, so I am replacing those with Hercules. I think what a lot of people don’t understand is that the batteries are comprised of Samsung cells that really are top of the line. Makita makes their batteries from the same cells. The only battery brand whose cells perform better are not as mass produced, so no major manufacturers make battery packs out of their cell at all anyway. Samsung 40t cells are what’s in the 21700 cell battery packs

    I own Hercules 20v tools for home use and I love them. But I will say, as a plumper, supplied with Milwaukee fuel tools at my disposal, the Milwaukee easily drives a 2 9/16 bit through a 2x4 fairly easily. If apprentices made more I would 100% invest in an all Milwaukee setup. But I am extremely impressed with my Hercules 1/2 inch impact driver and angle grinder, would definitely recommend. I feel Hercules is just as good as dewalt if not better. I would recommend Hercules tools to anyone without a doubt of remorse.

    They just did a comparison between the Milwaukee hammer drill Gen 3 & Gen 4 and also the the DeWalt and over all the HFT Hercules took top honors. Only when the Milwaukee with the HO 8.0 AH could it out pace the HFT but at a higher cost so the Torque test channel agrees with it's Stellar performance. This is a far cry from the HFT product line of Battery powered tools from the old days but the price reflects that. Great Review Video! The Hercules 20V $199 Pick 2 of 7 Deal (still ongoing) is a great deal! One of the 7 is the 8Amp Battery. I grabbed the Angle Grinder and OMT, both for $119. Already had the High Speed 8Amp Charger plus four of the 5Ahr Extreme Batteries, the 7 1/4" Circ, Compact Recip Saw, Impact Driver, and Hammer Drill Driver. So, once into the Battery & Charger ecosystem, the Tools themselves are outstanding and inexpensive! Unless you're doing sustained high battery drain drilling, grinding, or circ sawing, I have found the 5AHr batteries to be working fine. I've yet to encounter a situation where I needed the 8Amp Battery. Yet, it's good to know if needed I can always grab one to add to the set.

The Hercules drill turns 2,000 rpms in 2nd gear. I would prefer having higher RPM's in 2nd gear. I hate the 1,300 rpm drill I have, it has horrible battery life because the motor is always screaming at maximum RPM's to get any work done. A 2,000 rpm 2nd gear is perfect, because if you're using a wire brush in your drill, or drilling small holes in soft materials, you want the extra RPM's available.

There's many videos out there to show that, but I've been wondering about the drill. Some say the electronic clutch is the weak point. I'm on the fence about getting it. If I do, it will be a life of abuse for the tool as I will be using it to drill 3/8" and 1/2" holes through stacked railroad ties for rebar. That usually makes any drill I use too hot to handle after a bit and I don't wait for it to cool down. I slap a new battery on and keep it going. I've used porter cable brushless and m12 Milwaukee fuel for this purpose, but that 1200 ft/lb torque got me wondering if it can hang.

      Hercules uses the same samsung cells as Milwaukee and Makita. With everything being made in china these days, there are only 2-3 oem manufacturers of cordless tools producing for all the major brands, so it's very likely that all 20v batteries are produced in the same factory.

    HF cordless is pretty good in my experience so far although I don't do residential work but heavy industrial and my tools so far haven't let me down, for the cost I am definitely sold on what I get for my money. Although I don't suggest getting the grinder for anything other than light grinding jobs.

    I have a pretty wide variety of cordless power tools from black and decker/ skil to Milwaukee for home repair and car repair tools. I think the best quality is Milwaukee for me, but i have a few Hercules tools and i think when it comes to bang for your buck Hercules is where its at. They just seem like good entry level tools that you can save money on and can still perform.
    Also i just picked up two 5 amp batteries for 89$ they were on sale so i had to take them home.

    Today you can buy the 8ah battery for $99 and there is a deal (get the drill/driver included ). The charger now is cheaper too $49.99 so $150 total.
    I inherited a Milwaukee 1/2 drive m28 right angle drill "heavy ass beast" without a charger or battery, for use in driving my sailboat mainsail winch. Needs torque!
    That M28 is obsolete now and batteries are obscenely pricey so that will be sold. This HF may do the job!

    Before I put anything Hercules in my toolbox, I to see it work on the job site. I want to see one of their tools survive, being hauled around from job-site to job-site, dropped, kicked, used for not necessarily the right job, but because it was closest. If you can find some 2yr old Hercules Tools and compare them, in condition, from, function to Milwaukee, DeWalt, Flex, hell, even 2yr old Ryobi, Kobalt, Ridgid, Craftsman.... Then....I may consider changing from Milwaukee and Ryobi (say what you want, but I've been beating on my Ryobi 1/4"Hex for 9yrs in Heavy Duty equipment repair and now a heavy duty body repair facility, and the thing hasn't died yet.

    Normally wouldnt buy them. But the addition of the 5year warranty on the new brushless line and and 3 years in the battery is hard to beat. The pricing is really good and the performance is extremely good for the price. The reliability might be a concern but again it has that great warranty. And the batteries are cheap enough where after three years you will probably either have newer or can just go pick up a replacement

    • @ZOMBie64
      @ZOMBie64 Год назад

      After 2.9 yrs walk in and say the battery no longer holds a charge. HF won't quibble they will hand you a brand new battery. Later you can dig the old one out of the trash out back, that is where it will go unless they recycle it.

    • @wildbill6976
      @wildbill6976 8 месяцев назад

      yep, no hassle exchanges; and if it's a boxed item, many employees don't even bother to examine box to make sure all the parts are there. however, they do put old/returned batteries in a recycle bin inside warehouse; but tools go in dumpster with everything else, and the company itself doesn't prohibit "dumpster diving" (that's up to local laws/ordinances).
      Just date your batteries/tools with paint pen and take them back before warranty expires, voila, fresh tools and batteries for life...
