I'm a pipe fitter, by trade. I use to use DeWalt, Skil, Ryobi, and Milwaukee. When Hercules came out with the brushless, 5 year warranty and 3 year warranty on the charger and batteries, I switched and haven't looked back. I drill holes up to 3/4 inch through 1/2 inch I beams and channel iron to install ubolts for pipe. I haven't had any problems with them. I can buy all their tools and still have money left over. I'm never going back to the other brands.

was trying to decide between bauer and hercules. you've changed my mind to hercules. I'm a dyi'er for home stuff. This should fit the bill for me. Thanks for the update! Not to mention a 5 year warranty on the tool and 3 on the battery. We only have a menards and harbor freight pretty much for tools around where I am at. So HF is the place for now for me for quick access for tools. thanks again!

Hercules is so good for the value yeah I know it's not the best but its standing up there with milwaukee and dewalt and killing it with their value I'd choose their tools over milwaukee just because I'm not made of money and if it gets the job done a second slower that's fine I'd rather save 2-300$ than save a second of time

I killed that impact in about 12 days. I waited a week to bring it back did not have the receipt my harbor freight swapped it out with no problems. They did the same thing with a Breman clamp that I had also no receipt .I don’t buy a whole Lotta harbor freight stuff. But I’ve always had a good experience with their customer service.

    • @steffendetrick

@@MasteringMayhem I just worked it hard. tbh probably pushed it a bit much. It was honestly a impulse buy. I was going to grab a 7 inch diamondback wet tile saw for a couple bathroom remodels I have going on and I grabbed the drivers. I don’t do a lot of tile work personally, which is why I grabbed the 7” DB, which is a pretty nice tile saw just get a different blade but anyways. I killed it on a deck job. I live down south and it gets hot and humid. It started to act a little erratic the day before and the impact was getting extremely hot. The heat put my Gen 4, in to thermal protection once. we were running three impacts the Herc the GEN4 and the Milwaukee, M 18 brushless non fuel, which is also a little beast. The last day of its life we got a 10 minute high noon showers the Herc got a little wet they all did and that was all she wrote, but there’s nothing to not like about it especially at the price. I would never give up my M 18 for it. But that’s just a personal preference. The feel of the Herc n my hand reminds me a lot of the brushless Nonfuel.

@@steffendetrick Thanks for sharing 😎👍🏾This right here is why I kept telling folks if you have already have an M18 Gen 3 or 4, don't replace it...grab the Herc as your backup unit. Performance is the same. Instead use it on the days the M18 is out of commission or you'd like to try something new. That warranty and power easily are it's best selling points

Very impressive in terms of power, size, build quality and of course value. Only thing the drill driver looks to be missing next to their premium rivals is kickback control which was demonstrated in your video when it almost ripped your arms off! Apart from that feature it looks a match for the best. Very impressive.

ah on battery means amp hours Using a battery with a higher Ah will improve the device's running time on a single charge. This feature is important if the power frequently goes out or is out for long periods of time. However, the higher the Ah is on a battery the bigger (physically) it will be.

I finally bought into the Hercules line last weekend. Got the new Herc metal band saw, 2 8ah batteries, fan, and the fan cooled charger.
I took the fan to work today. I was surprised at its day long performance with very minimal use of the battery charge level. I think these herc batteries are going to be better than the 2 year old stock home depot is selling for milwaukee.
I am sooooo over milwaukee and home depot!
I have most of the Flex line of tools and am convinced they are the best premium line of tools and batteries in existance at the moment. You know why I'm also getting some of the Hercules line? Because i can! This is AMERICA BABY!!!! Take that joe biden....😈😈😈😈😈

If I'm not mistaken, these chargers have fans in them as they are loud at start up. Not sure about the other chargers, but mine says fan cooled on the front. I have the 8 Amp 20/12 volt charger. So far I only have the 12 Amp hr battery (I say only as I'm sure you'd like a larger sample size.) It's the largest battery for the line, so if anything is going to max the charger, this thing should. I've only had to charge it once so far and it's still at 4 bars. Granted I haven't had time to put it through it's paces yet, but the battery has been wonderful so far.
I plan on getting more Herc tools in the future but the Ultra Torque impact and 1/2 inch compact Impact are strong pulls for the battery. The battery was very cool after charging. I'd say it's on par with my Ego charger and batteries. Woops, forgot to say mine was very warm as well. At the very least, the charger and batteries have warranties
