  • Alsu Kurmasheva, an American-Russian journalist working for Radio Free Europe-Radio Liberty, was visiting her mother in Russia when authorities there confiscated her passports and jailed her. Kurmasheva faces charges that could lead to years of imprisonment because she edited a book of people's opinions about Russia's war with Ukraine. Correspondent Seth Doane talks with Kurmasheva's family and colleagues about the increasing dangers that journalists are facing from governments trying to mask the truth - what Jodie Ginsberg, chief executive officer of the Committee to Protect Journalists, calls "state-sponsored hostage-taking."

And despite the examples of Alsu Kurmasheva and Evan Gershkovich, there are still MAGA politicians willing to do Putin's bidding. Vote those MAGA politicians out of office.

People take advantage of free speech that’s why things happen to them, No story is worth her life or anyone’s It’s mine boggling are they looking for the stories or the Fame ! Again, people take advantage of free speech don’t even know what the definition of it ! There’s other places in the world that don’t even let you have free speech ! Cause at the end Their governments have to do whatever it takes to get them out Like the USA 🇺🇸 And still people wanna complain and talk down on our country !

😥 Dear Russian People... when you once leave Russia and are independent minded and love to speak your mind...and critic of Putin's Russia while outside of Russia... don't go back to your native country and expect a "heroes" welcome... Let your families, friends come and visit you if you're outside of Putin's Russia...as long as Putin is President... Stay Away...🙌

That's how it goes when ruthless dictators are not only permitted but encouraged to "lead" countries. The cycle of doom repeats; Stahleen, Moose-olini, Heetlar, XiXiPi, KJU, Shenko, Chump, etc., etc. And this cycle will never, ever, EVER be stopped. That's just the way it is.
