    Joshua, are you using the Hypertherm P/N 228350 interface cable with the PMX85 CPC port? I’m copying your configuration, to include the deeper/heavier SS water tray. Thanks for the tips!

    Hypertherm 85,what a unit, great to watch. Josh does having the bigger power source make you want to upgrade to a bigger or more sturdy table? Or do you feel this table is servicing your needs?

      I am running their CrossFire Pro model. Several of my last videos are on this table...

    Hey Josh I’m highly considering this table. I just wanted to hear your thoughts on the unit. How long have you been using it? and have you had any problems? Appreciate it! Good work!

      I've had the table since October 2018. It was one of the Batch 2 pre-orders. I have absolutely no complaints and zero issues. Table size can restrict you at times, but I really appreciate the open gantry. The machine has been rock solid and I have run a lot of steel through it. Most of what I cut is half inch and thicker, so the table can feel lightweight under those heavy sheets. I also doubt Langmuir expected an 85 amp plasma hooked to this table, but it's fine....😎

      Joshua Zimmerman awesome thanks for your feedback. It’s just natural to feel uneasy when things are this inexpensive.

    You're getting super clean cuts. I see your IPM speed but what amps and airflow? I'm getting quite a bit of taper in my holes.

    • @joshuazimmerman8631
      @joshuazimmerman8631  3 года назад +1

      I always run 85 amps unless I'm doing very thin material or using fine cut consumables. As far as air flow, shop air is at 120 PSI and I let the internal regulator of the Hypertherm 85 take care of the rest.

    Cost effective setup there if you mostly do thicker materials. Might think about bolstering the legs though.

      I have since added heavy steel casters and extra bracing. Some of my later videos show this...

      @@joshuazimmerman8631 Ok, I'll look for them. Seems like it was a good idea to put more money into the plasma cutter than table like you've done, you will be all set if you ever upgrade the table.

      Yeah I'm working it upgrading my table right now... And yes, it is hard for me to imagine anything less than an 85 amp plasma. Now that I have access to 480 volt 3 phase, I'm considering upgrading to a Powermax 125...

    How often do you gotta replace the slats? Love the set up, been watching a few videos.

      I'm still on my original set of slats. I have flipped them once end for end, and once upside down. However, they are nearly completely wore out now. I just ordered a replacement set last week. I was actually surprised they lasted this long with all the heavy cutting I did on this table...

      Joshua Zimmerman Hell yea, couldn’t you make new slats on the cnc table though?

    • @joshuazimmerman8631
      @joshuazimmerman8631  5 лет назад

      @@OfficialNetDevil No, not quite. The slats are 33 inches long, which is bigger than my cutting envelope. I ordered the upgrade kit to expand to 34 in of travel but I don't have it yet.... I will do a video when I get it.

    • @joshuazimmerman8631
      @joshuazimmerman8631  5 лет назад +1

      A Torchmate 4400 4'x4' table fully outfitted will run about $20k or so. My setup here, which is obviously only a 2'x2', I have around $6k in it. That includes the Hypertherm 85 which runs about $4200, but I had it already so it's not like I had to buy it for this table.
