  • I'm showing you how to make fresh spinach pasta dough at home. If you're looking for a way to pass the time, making this beautiful, bright, green spinach pasta dough at home takes a little longer but is completely worth it.

    I'm showing you how to make this pasta without a machine so it's easy to do with minimal equipment. I served mine with fresh ricotta, you can easily make this at home as well and I've linked to the recipe video down below. I also topped it off with some chilli flakes and olive oil. Would 100% recommend. I'll be making this often.

      I have the greatest spinach pasta recipe, EVER!
      But first let me tell you a story.
      As a child, I used to make Himalayan snow spinach pasta with my grandma? Himalayan snow spinach only grows on the north side of Everest. Between an elevation of 9,000-12,000ft, and only between July 7th- sep12. It makes the greatest spinach pasta in the world. Grandma and I harvested our spinach during the big war. There'll be more on the big war a little later in this story. First let me talk about my family members.
      To make a short story long, there's decades of my life story to cover before we can proceed to the recipe.

    Louisiana, USA made this today. I had no spinach, so I used fresh collard greens from the garden. It was FABULOUS!! Even the VERY CAJUN hubby liked it.

    made this and it came out great! 1 thing is the moisture from the spinach was more than expected, so I had to add a little more than 2 cups of flour.

    Your videos are a delight for the senses. I made pasta in the past but not this simple way. I will try it. I like how you incorporate all the spinach, (or beet, in another of your videos) into the pasta, instead of juicing and losing some of the fiber that is healthy. I will try. Thank you for adding suggestions to serve. I think this pasta could be made without eggs for a vegan version, but eggs are so delicious.

    Wow thanks. I love spinach pasta and they never have it at our grocers. Lovely recipe. I might add some jarred dry roasted tomatoes. I always have ricotta in fridge it’s a basic here. I like that term emulsion for oil I’ve oil and water it’s like in picatta sauce with lemon and white wine a nice emulsion. 👍😋

    When you started making the sauce i was thinking , " I'd be sprinkling s one chilli flakes in about now for me." But you sorted that out at the end thank you. One if dim treasured memories from about 65 years ago as a small child was watching our Italian neighbour rolling out spaghetti on the terrazzo floor of the back verandah and hanging it out to dry on a wooden clothes hoist. Sauce was just tomato and garlic made from the half acre garden. Never tasted anything better.

    I've had a rough day, this was going to be my "get over it" recipe but I was going to give up on the idea and sit in misery, every other video is spending too long on pointlessness and I was struggling to feel a reason for trying. This was relaxing, informative and the guitar riff just made me feel like I should keep trying - so I'm gonna go grab the flour and boil some water.

    I tried to make this a few days ago. I'm a beginner in cooking and i think i cut the dough too thick lol. But still taste okay. I'm afraid it will stick together again when i store it, so i boiled all, then immediately soak all with ice cold water, then i store it in air tight container and put it in refrigerator :) Kinda like udon lol. I use it for prawn aglio olio and chicken alfredo. Thank you for the recipe.

    2 things: Semola flour (is amazing), and if you're going to use plastic wrap, save it to reuse. I keep mine in the drawer right next to the rolling pins. :-)

    2 cups of flour but you used liquid measuring cup... what's the weight of the flour used instead? Using grams to measure flour in baking and cooking is just so much easier to make sure you're really getting the right measurements.

    So I made spinach noodles and turns out no one said how dry or moist the dough should be. The dough should be a little more dry so they don’t stick together
