    Him being tossed around, meeting legendary piates and participating in major events all while being stuck in the background truly makes this plot feel like a weird/funny spinoff movie of a major franchise . Reminds me of The Lion King 1½

    His quartermaster and Blackbeard were extremely patient with him, probably because of how nice the guy was. They gave him way too many opportunities to shape up in my opinion.
