@isaacdayton4962 yeah but for sotv the pre dlc music drop was about a week before the drop, which was on march 1st. so i think seekers of the storm will drop sometime around june 1st.

@@stryder_01 Having played through the new update with Stavros' track on it, I can say I like it. I don't feel quite at ease like I do listening to Chris' music, because I lack that warm familiarity. It is certainly very new and brings a different feeling to the soundtrack. I think it is good and it is a good thing to change things up sometimes, and I am sure he will do great in the future too. But it will take me a bit of getting used to after having listened to Chris' Risk of Rain music for years. His music felt like home at this point. Now I feel like I'm moving to a new place. It is good, but it is different. That is a bit scary

There's something about this music that is both nostalgic and alienated (no pun intended). You get the feeling that you heard this before many times throughout your runs but upon entering this strange area of the world, you ended up getting somewhere that you didn't even know existed. To me that's the feeling I get from this soundtrack, really bizarre, but in a VERY VERY good way.
Man I'm so glad that Chris is still doing the RoR2 ost, truly a master at his craft. I can't wait for the rest of the tracks to be revealed, not just to hear the new music, but also to hear Chris's thoughts on the tracks if ge does another one of his full ost commentary videos. Good stuff!

The three note melody predominant for like the first fourth of the song actually does kind of come from there! Chris wanted to use the idea in more songs after A Placid Island of Ignorance, he said it in the Survivors of the Void commentary!

1:18 OMG! Yeah well what can you even say. It is the level of detail. I produce some music on my free time I know how much time goes in to fine tuning and tinkering. Respect. Now I do not know how long it took to make this song. Probably not the longest of all songs but you cannot get this level of detail without some serious skill and dedication to the craft. I love it too much.

Absolutely honored to be here when Chris is still releasing new stuff. I wasn’t really all aware of the games when they first came out, but after being introduced and playing the games along with the OSTS, man I don’t think I’ll get sick of them. It’s super cool to have a new song pop up on my notifications.
I love the Placid Island motif so very much, it's the perfect melody for conveying the emotion Risk of Rain needs to convey!
Chris doesn't miss.
Chris showed once again how good music is made, especially with teleporter music on that stage. He already made the one of the best music I've ever heard for Survivors of the Void, and now it looks like that level won't come down

A Placid Island of Awesomeness!
I remember listening to your Survivors of the Void album commentary and hearing you talk about the melody of "A Placid Island of Ignorance" and wanting to use it elsewhere because you liked it so much, but couldn't fit it in the rest of the SotV soundtrack, so it was awesome to hear it in this one! "A Placid Island of Ignorance" is such a wonderful piece (I'm a sucker for weird time signatures and subdivisions especially), and has easily become one of my new favorite tracks in the game. I can't wait to hear what the rest of the dlc has to offer. Amazing work, Chris!

The first thing I hear after picking up the game for the first time in a while to check out the new update. All the staples of RoR music hit just right: The piano and percussion giving that air of mystery, the powerful synth giving it a hostility fitting the planet, and those classic four ascending and descending notes. Felt like game itself was giving me a "welcome back". Wonderful stuff.
I had my vinyl ordered before the song was over. I'm more excited for you returning to do the new music than the other contents of the update. You're the best, keep doing what you do. ❤

It sounds like Risk of Rain but feels like something totally new. There’s a kind of space and adventurous tone that I hear in the song unlike the rest of RoR2’s ost that makes it stand out to me. It’s incredible!

I got to hear this music for the first time in-game at the Verdant Falls yesterday and it blew me away. It was so hostile and alien, yet also inviting with a sort of magic and mystery. The music always heightens the experience so much- thank you Mr. Christodoulou!

This song evokes the sensations of anxierty and curiosity at the same time. Its the fear of something unknown at the same time you just want to find oit more about what you are getting into.
