I wanted to change my MHD multimap in my 335i F30 2013, mhd has stopped during unloading old program (I've push plane mode !!). So when I tried another time to flash : MHD can't reach DME. Till one month is in a garage. Garagist extracted the DME and has reloaded an original program of 335i. After re-intalled the DME in the car, still the same problem, no com with DME (with MHD wifi key or with his computer). Please help !! BMW resseller doens't want to sell and install a new DME, he's sure it has been reprogrammed. DME is not dead, my garagist part of program is missing. Do you think it could come from a protection which cut power to DME ? HELP

You’re most likely fine. Charge it back up on a charger to full. Than keep it on the charger (10 amp or better) while you do the reflash. Make sure kit doesn’t die again. My cars finicky this my 2nd ecu idk what’s going on with it. But it’s getting replaced now.

@@HGLFWthe damn thing ended up costing me $1100 to ship to a ecu place that “rebuilt” or “ref lashes” I tried taking it to dealer and they attempted to reflash BACk to stop for $575, but they couldn’t communicate with car. Meaning bricked. The shitty mechanic I had do it for me was extremly imcompetent. I should have done it myself. It’s like $600 to get it reflashed/rebuilt but he charged me $500 labor to unscrew a few bolts and take out the cas module and ecu. Than when he got it back, he knew nothing about coding or inpa software was just a parts changer young kid at some dead end shop that prized them self on being knowledgeable and working on exotics but of course the crap shoot is now closed down, which is good. This was before I was well rounded on n54 e90s. When I got it back from him after he got the new rebuilt ecu in it started but I’m pretty sure my Jbe was bad or needed recoded cause I had some other finicky stuff happen like my windshield wipers would catch, passanger heated seat wouldn’t stay on, and my cluster sometimes would go to 0 mph back to the mph I am traveling at. All a joke, only let someone that knows what they’re doing in electrical / ecu / modules work on you’re car if you reach out for help. Otherwise it’ll end up costing you a ton more and they claim no liability. Losers. Hope you get it fixed. Post update
This all started from my vehicle “dying” from uninstalling Cobb software like 6 years ago when I had a bad misfire I wanted to reduce the boost and ware on components when it was running rough and I was in my work parking lot on lunch and wasn’t hooked up to a battery charger at the time. Never do a flash without having 5-7 amp battery charger hooked up
It will all be plug and play when you get the cas unlocked and the ecu reflashed/rebuilt. You may have other issues with differnt modules though from when it got bricked. Like I did. Jbe, Frm, etc. I would NOT let anyone touch it bmw mechanic or not unless they have a general understanding of INSTA/INPA bmw software which they are few and far between. Bimmerbrains if I remember right is very good at what he does and very knowledgeable.
I literally just had this same exact problem with my n54 535i. Obviously I I freaked out first, because the was showed a bunch of random lights on the dash(transmission problems, traction lights and etc) plus the car wasn’t starting at all. So all I did to fix was flash back to stock, it gave me an error the first attempt but then on the second try it worked, the lights were gone and the car started thankfully.

I’m having this same issue but with my b58 440i. Did you ever figure out a solution?
Try the flash back to stock button on mhd app.

Un plug the battery then wait a min then flash it back to stock

For people with this problem just use another device. I had the same problem and I used another cell phone and it solved everything.

Another cell phone didn’t solve the issue. Usually this is fixed by using another device yes. My files got corrupted

Yeah brother had do same thing…. But unfortunately for me after try after try it would not communicate. Had to replace ecu $1100
