Blanco Juan sent me here thanks for your work getting these so fast
I fly in SoCal. The controllers are excellent. Sad loss. Having gone through that pass many times it can be an adventure even without weather.
Juan Browne recommended your channel... Condolences to the family of this pilot who lost his life in conditions he probably shouldn't have been flying at night in IMC icing conditions.
What is IMC?
@@oif3gunner In aviation, instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) are weather conditions that require pilots to fly primarily by reference to flight instruments, and therefore under instrument flight rules (IFR), as opposed to flying by outside visual references under visual flight rules (VFR).
@@TheGospelQuartetParadise Thank you!! I have been hearing those terms and had no clue what they meant!
@@oif3gunner You're welcome
Juan is the best in the business
Just subscribed on Blanco's prompt. Glad to be here

As an old Commander pilot regardless of the aircraft type you should never use auto-pilot in an icing condition. Sad very sad a young man lost his life
Poor Soul 🙏🏻
Blanco's dropped me off here..subbed!
Hey there, thanks for the sub it means a lot!
Never use auto pilot in icing conditions.
Not a good idea to use auto pilot when ice conditions exist. Condolences to all
He sounded connfident. There may have been a screw loose in the controller but it was Ice that caused it,,, Rest in peace ,
😔😔😔
Can you post the ATC from the Cirrus that had a pilot die near Raleigh?
Hey there! I actually hadn't heard of this, but I was able to find and pull some of the audio thanks to your comment. I will definitely see what I can do with it.
Following up. Posted the video today, sorry it took so long!
Thank you so much. It is so well done and must have been a lot of work to put together all the ATC and Fire/EMS communications. I am friends with some of the students of the man who died. I have sent them the link and this means a lot to them.
